I actually think I unironically found the "open secret" to a truly happy and fulfilling life… and even though I personally still struggle to stay true to it, just aiming for it already feels fulfilling enough!
The key to happiness, I think, is understanding and living according to Yin-Yang. Let me ramble a bit about it...
Okay, so first of all, you have the circle. Such an insanely powerful symbol all on its own. A circle represents something whole, something complete. It’s the symbol of everything in existence...the entire universe itself, "wrapped up" in one perfect shape. Or, more personally, life itself.
Then you have a squiggly line dividing a black and white side. And those two colors are so important! Because black and white don’t just mean "good and bad." No, they represent all opposites. Positive and negative things. Light and darkness. Chaos and order. Day and night. Feminine and masculine. Being goofy and happy, and being serious and responsible. Life and death. Every single opposite in the universe.
And the line itself... Well, it’s not simply a straight. If it were, it would suggest pure separation, stillness, a world where opposites never touch. But instead, it moves. It curves, it flows, it almost dances. Like the black and white aren’t just opposing forces, but partners. Are they fighting? Are they in harmony? Maybe both. Because opposites create movement. Opposites create change.
And then, the most important part of all. The part that really makes me understand life and believe in the goodness of the world:
The dots inside each side.
The white dot inside the black. The black dot inside the white.
That means that no opposite is ever truly "pure." There is always a little bit of light in the darkness. There is always a little bit of darkness in the light. No happiness exists without a little sadness. No sadness exists without a little joy. No order without a bit of chaos. No chaos without a bit of order. No days without a dark cloud, and no nights without twinkling stars.
So then…for me at least, there’s always a tiny bit of sparkly littlespace inside being a responsible adult. And there’s always a tiny bit of serious adult worries and thoughts inside littlespace.
And finally, the most beautiful thing: the whole symbol is in balance.
Yin and Yang aren’t fighting to destroy each other. They coexist. They actually need each other to exist. And tbh...I think that’s the secret of life.
We need darkness for there to be light. We only live because we will one day die. Even the bad things in life contain a little good, and even the good things aren’t purely perfect. And somehow, in the grandest, most cosmic way possible… it all balances out.
That’s why I try to embrace every part of myself. My little side and my big side. My joy and my struggles. I try to always be balanced. And when life feels out of balance, it just feels like something is "off," you know? And that's why I accept the countless opposing things in life. Because without these opposing things, life wouldn't even exist.
Anyways, thanks for coming to my TED Talk! I hope I can help at least one person see how beautiful and powerful Yin-Yang is. And maybe, just maybe, it actually helps someone find a little more balance in their life.
Have a wonderful day everyone! 💖

Me: wondering why I'm always unfocused and fussy during the day.
Also me: not sleeping before 5-6am every single night...
My mental health slowly deteriorating: "*chuckles* I'm in danger!"

I feel like, after years of mental exhaustion and depression, ab/dl has almost fully transformed into a coping mechanism for me. And I don't know what to make of that tbh.
Just being comfy and not having to worry about grown-up sh*t is my number one reason I like littlespace nowadays.

Maybe the best kind of littlespace is the one where you don’t have to try to be accepted. Just a quiet world without big worries.
Only happiness, softness, and comfy little moments.

🍼" You’re Too Little To… “🍼
” Aw, baby. You’re too little to use the grown-up potty. Sit on my lap, relax, and go potty in your diapee/pull-up. I’ll help you if you need it. “
” Do you need to go potty? Oh no, you’re too little to use the grown-up potty. I’ll take you to your little potty chair. “
” Let me cut your food up for you, sweetheart. You’re too little for such big bites. You could choke! “
” Here’s your bottle, baby… lay in my lap, you’re too little to drink it yourself. We don’t want it to spill on your clothes, do we? Let me hold it for you. Just put your hands on your tummy and relax~. “
” Uh-uh-uh! Those are adult clothes! You’re much too little for those! Let’s get you in a snug diaper/pull-up–after all, we don’t want you having an accident in big kid clothes~. Stains are hard to get out. We’ll find you more age-appropriate clothes too. “
” Uh-oh, did someone make piddles in their diaper/pull-up? Aw, don’t cry. You’re too little to know when you have to go potty. Let’s get you cleaned up. “
” Nap time, baby~. What’s that? You’re not sleepy? Don’t be silly, you’re too little to go without a nap, you’ll turn into a fussypants. “
” You know the rules; you hold my hand when we’re out. You’re too little to wander around by yourself. You stay by my side at all times. Or do I need to put you in a stroller? “
” Oh no, baby. The public bathrooms are for adults. You’re too little for those. Just go in your diapee/pull-up, and I’ll change you as soon as we get back to the car. “
” You’re too little to check yourself to see if you’re wet or messy. That’s my job~. And no, you can’t change yourself. “
” In the back seat, let me buckle you in nice and safely. Of course I’m using the child-locks. What’s that? You wanna sit in the front? Nuh-uh, you’re too little! “
” Oh, you silly baby! You’re too little to dress/undress yourself! Let me help you. “
” I bought you a nice, big playpen to put you in, so I can keep an eye on you. You’re too little to wander around the house without my supervision! You could get into things you’re not supposed to. “

Ways to Make Littles Feel Little!
- Pat their bottom - Pat their head - Get them dressed  - Pick out their outfits - Make tough decisions for them - Get them undressed - Diaper them, check their diaper, change their diaper - Kiss their forehead - Call them pet names like sweetie, honey, sweet heart, baby doll, princess, kitten, little prince, etc (depending on what they identify as or their preference). - Cuddle them - Hold their hand (especially crossing street) - Pick them up - Tickle them - Give them raspberries on their tummy - Feed them with a spoon or fork (Daddy likes to airplane feed me!) - Cut up their food to bite sized pieces - Wipe their mouth when they eat messily - Give them a bath and wash them - Brush their hair - Tell them that they’re your baby (and they belong to you!) - Buckle their seat belt in the car - Hold their bottle or sippy while they drink - Read bed time stories to them (do different voices for each different characters!) - Sit them on your lap
