I love alpha!Nico and omega!reader and how soft they are for each other 🥹🥲
They literally kill me. I am having so much fun getting to write overly soft alpha Nico like he’s so different from mob Nico.
I’m genuinely so excited for yall to read the first chapter I’m so sorry it’s taking me so long.

Moose would intentionally wake up nico instead of reader when the twins need something at night
This is so cute!
Both Nico and reader wake up when they hear one of the babies through the baby monitor but because Moose sleeps in their room with them, by the time Nico is fully awake and getting out of bed, Moose is sitting by his feet, nudging as his legs impatiently or staring at him from the doorway.
And it’s funny because Moose never does it to reader. Even if it’s her turn to get up or she needs to go breastfeed the babies, Moose is staring at Nico or barking at him until Nico gets up too.
If his mama isn’t getting rest, Nico isn’t either lol

omega stitching her initials or a little heart inside all of nicos sweaters and suit jackets
He’s fresh out of the shower one morning after skate, toweling at his wet hair as he steps into his closet to find some shorts to put on. He pauses when he realizes his closet is half empty, the side that holds all his suits full of odd spaces and gaps.
Draping the towel over his shoulder, he realizes that all he has hanging now are slacks and buttons up. Every jacket he owns is missing from the hangers.
It’s all a little eerily familiar to his missing socks so he throws his towel in the hamper, making his way out of his room and across the living room to yours.
Luckily for him you’ve left your door open so as soon as he’s propped against the doorway, the mystery of where his jackets went is resolved.
You’re sitting in a pile of them on your bed, dozens of jackets stacked over your lap and on the duvet. Sensing his presence, you look up, eyes widened innocently.
“Whatcha doing?” Nico asks, voice filled with mirth. He’d thought you were maybe stealing his stuff for a nest, trying to get your scent all over his jackets before the game tonight so that he’ll smell like you, but then he notices the way your delicately holding something in your fingers, hunched over the inner lining of his favorite brown suit.
“Nothing,” you lie, dropping your arms to hide whatever it was you’re doing to his jacket. Nico raises an eyebrow.
“Can I come in?”
You don’t even hesitate to agree which is good. It means whatever you’re doing isn’t too bad, isn’t enough to deny him entry into your space. So you’re open to telling him about it. Or at least showing it to him.
Nico carefully crosses your room, sits on the edge of your bed with an easy patience. You just watch him, calculating and quiet for a moment before sitting up straight and revealing the red thread and needle in your hands.
“What is that?” He asks softly, leaning in a bit more. With a quiet sigh you slide his jacket over to him, holding out the little spot you’d been fiddling with. It’s a little stitched heart in the exact same red thread you’re holding. One that hadn’t been there before.
“I thought maybe you’d like it,” you tell him, “since ya know all the alphas in the league can show off their bite marks at walk-ins but we’re not- I don’t know. It’s not the same but it’s something for you to have with you.”
Nico traces his thumb over the little heart, feels his own flip happily in his chest. It’s stitched so carefully, so beautifully along the inner lining that even with its lopsided lumps it’s perfect.
He sits up again, reaches for another jacket on the bed and pulls it open to the inner lining. In the exact same spot is another little heart, not as crooked as the other one but still perfect too.
“You put it on all of them?” He asks carefully, running his finger over it.
“Yeah. I can take it out if you don’t like it. I know they’re expensive-“
Nico buttons his lips to yours, cupping the back of your neck and drawing you closer to him. You let out a muffled sound of surprise before melting into him, awkwardly dropping into the mattress on your elbow. He licks at the seam of your lips, enough to jolt you into kissing him back, nose brushing against his as you tilt your head to get closer to him.
“I love it,” Nico mumbles against your lips after pulling back. You blink your eyes open, dazed and glossy looking when they focus on his. “Thank you omega. S’so sweet of you.”
He can feel the way the compliment hits you. Sweet, you’re a sweet omega. It’s your favorite thing to be told and every time he says you go all starry eyed for a moment. Just like you do now, a smile pulling at your mouth and eyes sparkling at him. His wolf rumbles happily and you peck his mouth again, your own wolf understanding the sentiment from his.
“Now what am I going to give you to wear for me, huh?”
Bashful, you laugh, pulling back from him and reaching for another one of his jackets to work on. “I already have my necklace from you.” Nico settles back into the pillows of your bed, head propped up on one arm and the other scratching lazily at your back.
“Yeah but it’s of your number. You need something of mine.”
“I wear yours though during the game.”
Ever insistent, he shakes his head. “That’s not during walk-ins though.”
“Should let me wear your fancy watch.”
Nico snorts. “Yeah I don’t know about that one. Think it’ll fall off your wrist anyway.”
“Mmm whatever. I was going to pawn it anyway. Use the money to buy a hamster or something.”
Nico smiles, laughing under his breath. “Expensive hamster huh?”
“I was going to get something to eat too probably. And one of those balls for the hamster to run around the apartment in.”
“That seems fun.”
You look over your shoulder at him, gaze eager and excited. “So I can get one?”
“No omega. It wouldn’t be able to come on roadies with us.”
“You’re the captain. Could take him in his ball as a carryon.”
“I’ll think about it,” he says, just to appease you and you accept it, turning back to keep sewing his suit jackets. Even if you don’t believe him either.

For Mob!Nico, do the guys try to force their way into the delivery room while reader is giving birth?
I don’t know about forcing their way in there but they definitely whine and gripe at Nico when he tells them they’re not allowed in lol.
I think when reader is just in labor and like chilling in her private room he’ll let them in to come say hi and distract her a bit but once she’s in the delivery room they’re out. The only person who sticks around is probably Timo (maybe Alex too) but reader is only in the hospital for one night so Jack and Luke take that as a chance to set up a welcome home thing for them at the house instead of crowding the waiting room.
That way when they get home with the twins Johnny and Dawson have made food for them and Haula has made sure all their baby furniture has been set up and is ready for them and they’ve decorated with the welcome home and it’s a girl banners. There’s probably a stack of gifts for reader and the babies too haha.
Also someone’s gotta baby sit Moose since he doesn’t like being home alone and he’s very nervous about reader since she was lowkey having a panic attack when she left the house and they just left him there.

both if possible
Also I can see Jersey comparing Timo to Jonas and jokingly scare Jack and Luke that Nico is going to be mad at them until Luke tucks her in with Snoopy
It’s far too late for someone to be knocking on his door, even if it is a Friday night. Between their afternoon practice and morning skate tomorrow, Timo hadn’t even entertained the idea of staying up past 9 tonight but it seems someone else has other plans.
That someone else being a three foot toddler standing on his welcome mat, wrapped up a bunny eared robe.
“Timo!” Jersey shouts, launching herself at his legs and Timo shakes off his drowsiness, leaning down to pick her up and set her on his hip.
“Jersey,” he greets, glancing down the hallway for any sign of the boys he knows are supposed to be watching her. “What are you doing up here little babe?”
“Say goodnight,” she replies, swiping at her cheek and then coughing directly into his face. Timo scrunches up his nose, wiping away the dots of spit and she lays her head on his shoulder.
“Shouldn’t you already be in bed?” He asks, stepping back into his apartment. Shoving his feet into his house slippers, Timo shuts the door to his apartment, not bothering to lock it.
“Jersey! Oh thank god!”
It’s Jack barreling down the hallway, eyes wild with worry and panting like he’s not a professional athlete. He meets Timo’s judgmental gaze and pauses.
“It was two seconds. The elevator door opened for two seconds and she took off!”
He’s in front of Timo’s door now, hands on his hips and Timo takes a minute to look him over. His sweats are stained with what looks like dried vanilla ice cream, his t-shirt rumbled and sorted with random little stickers. He’s barefoot too, shifting uncomfortably on the harsh bristle of the doormat. He looks like shit. And Timo would say as much if Jersey weren’t laying on his shoulder.
“Why is she up?”
Jack frowns, guilty. “We tried but every time I tucked her in she would cry and I couldn’t get her to stop.”
Timo glances down at the toddler snuggled into him, her eyes heavy with sleep but fighting to stay open, watching Jack with a look of annoyance. “She seems plenty tired to me.”
Jack scoffs. “Come on T, just help us out getting her to sleep real quick. That way Nico doesn’t think we’re bad baby sitters.”
Jersey kicks her foot out at Jack. “Bad,” she mumbles sleepily, “Nico says bad.”
Amused, Timo jostles her on his hip and meets Jack’s offended pout with a shit eating grin. Nodding towards the elevator, the three of them fall into step.
“Where’s Luke?” Timo asks, glancing over at Jack. The elder Hughes boy sighs, running a hand through his tangled hair.
“He’s putting her bedding to wash.”
Timo side eyes him. “What happened to her bedding?”
“She spilt the chocolate milk we made her before bed.”
Timo loves Jack and Luke, he really does. They’re smart, funny, charismatic kids. But sometimes they’re fucking idiots.
“You’re not supposed to give her chocolate before bed Jack.”
Jersey hums lazily, the toes of her sock clad foot flexing into his thigh as they wait for the elevator and Jack presses at the button impatiently.
“Nico said she could have milk.”
“Yeah normal milk in the bottles they leave in the fridge.”
“Oh,”
The elevator dings, doors sliding open and they step in. Jersey rubs her cheek into Timo’s shoulder, smacking her lips around a big yawn.
“Where mama?”
Timo pats at her thigh soothingly. “She’ll be home soon, her and daddy.”
The rest of the elevator ride is quiet, Timo following Jack down the hall on your floor to the cracked door of the apartment. Unsurprisingly, the place is a disaster. Toys and clothes are scattered across the floor, sippy cups and empty snack wrappers on the coffee and side tables.
He can hear Luke banging around with the washer and drier in the laundry cubby, glancing into the kitchen to try and catch a look at him. All he finds instead are untouched dinner pans on the stove and dishes dirty with god knows what on the table.
“I’ll get her to bed,” Timo says to Jack, nodding towards the faint curses coming from Luke. “Maybe go check on him.”
Jack claps him on the shoulder, smiling in thanks as he ducks into the kitchen. Shaking his head, Timo kicks away the toys at his feet and carries Jersey to the main bedroom. Luckily yours and Nico’s room remains untouched from the chaos for the most part, the only sign that someone’s been there being the Snoopy plushy tucked into the rumpled blankets.
“Alright kiddo,” Timo grunts, leaning over the mattress to lay her down beside Snoopy. She blinks lazily, knuckling at her eyes and then stares at Timo.
“Off,” she requests, holding her arms out to him. Timo complies, untying the double knot of her bunny robe and rolling his eyes when he realizes Jack and Luke didn’t even put pajamas on her after bath time. Jersey wiggles her toes happily, squirming around on the sheets in just her nappy and two dimples sink into her cheeks.
It’s then, without the hood of her robe on that Timo notices her hair isn’t even damp meaning bath time all together had been forgone tonight.
“Your daddy was right,” he whispers to her, pulling the blankets over her little body and tucking them in around her arms. “Jack is a bad baby sitter, huh?”
Jersey giggles, reaching her little hand out to grab her Snoopy plushie and Timo lifts the blankets again to tuck him in with her. Squishing himself onto the mattress next to her, Timo reaches for the remote to the tv, lifting his arm when she turns to curl into his chest.
“Alright let’s watch something good, yeah?”
He ends up putting on Monsters Inc for her, a movie he will admit is really good. They’ve barely gotten through the title screen when Luke and Jack appear in the door, both looking as haggard and tired as Jersey herself if not worse. Timo doesn’t say anything when they both move to lay on the other side of her instead of cleaning up the apartment. That’s for you and Nico to scold them on and Timo plans on being here later tonight to see it happen.
For now though they all curl up to watch the movie, Jersey only stirring to shove her Snoopy in Luke’s face until he presses an awkward kiss to the dogs stitched on nose. Then she snuggles back up with it, nibbling on the tip of its ear and watching the movie from where she’s cradled in Timo’s arm.
Jack and Luke may be terrible baby sitters but at least Jersey is safe and sound for the night.

jersey is having the time of her life at the beach
Building sandcastles with her daddy and holding his hand as they stand in the water, Jersey giggling every time the tide splashes into her legs and makes her stumble. Sitting on reader’s hip and holding her neck so tight it hurts because they’ve come out far enough into the water it comes up to Nico’s chest. And he’s splashing at the both of them or belly flopping into the waves because it makes her laugh.
She starts a seashell collection too, Nico following behind her with a bucket as she digs through the sand and hands him the prettiest ones to put in the sand pail. They’re probably wearing matching bucket hats and everything.
But she really loves lying in the beach chair with her daddy, sharing bites of fruit with him and snuggling into the warm, sun-kissed skin of his bicep.

What are your thoughts on Moose’s first time meeting the twins when they come home?
He is so gentle giant with them but he’s also so excited.
Like from the minute Nico steps through the front door with the two car seats in his hands Moose is coming over to say hi. They know he’s a good dog too and they don’t have to worry about the fact that he’s huge lol so Nico carefully sets the car seats down, crouching down next to them all “Hi Musli, look who we brought home.”
Moose has to say hi to reader first though, of course so he runs over to her for pets and eat scratches as Nico works on unbuckling the babies. That’s what draws Moose back over, carefully sniffling at their little feet and then leaning in to smell their heads, not even flinching when Nico hooks his fingers in Moose’s collar and you call from behind him “gentle Moose.”
Because he’s always gentle. He’s gentle when Nico takes one of them out the car seat and hands her to you, Nico cradling the other in his arm and Moose sits back on his haunches to try and keep looking at them. And he’s gentle when you and Nico carefully sit on the couch, Moose jumping up to lay by you and he sniffs at the babies again, nudging his wet nose into their beanie clad heads like he’s trying to peck a kiss their if he could.
The only time he genuinely shows his excitement is when Nico hands the other baby to you and moves to the floor, calling Moose down with him. Tail wagging wildly Moose leaps off the couch and on top of Nico, nipping at his hair and his beard with little yipping noises.

Stop omg thinking about him being obsessed with reader laying out under a beach umbrella with the twins, her stomach still soft and pudgy from pregnancy. The twins curled up into her warm skin, their little hands grabbing at the ties on her bikini top.
He’s just so in love with his girls.

https://www.tumblr.com/mikkomacko/789928969825828864/what-is-alpha-nicos-first-rut-like
can i say both?👀
Nico presented while his family was on a vacation and it was one of the worst experiences of his life. He also presented two years early so it caught him off guard and he was so unprepared for it that it just sucked.
His parents had to get him his own hotel room next to theirs and he spent most of their beach vacation locked in his overly hot room trying not to throw up from the all the different scents of the guests on their floor. I’m not really going to say much else about it because he was like 14 and I’d feel weird writing about his rut when he was that young lol but yeah he was miserable and to this day he hates that hotel they stayed at.
Reader’s presentation sucked too but when she hears about Nico’s from him, she maybe feels a little worse for him because that’s such a terrible place to present and go into a rut for the first time.
His first rut with reader though is one of the best times of his life. He’d been nervous before about her not wanting to be there for it, that maybe she’d be turned off by the idea of it since she hadn’t had a heat in years or any sort of omega feelings in a while. But he greatly underestimated her because when he goes to ask her about it she’s like “I already called out with management for it Nico.” And he’s like “what? You did?”
She sounds almost giddy, excited and eager when she nods and smiles at him. “Course I did. It’s our first rut together right? I couldn’t be on the ice knowing you’re here like that.”
And he’s all flattered and flustered when he’s like “Thanks omega. I-I’m glad you want to be here with me. I was hoping you would.”
“Don’t have to thank me,” she murmurs and then even worse, she decides to ruin any sense of peace or tranquility Nico had in the lead up to his rut. “Besides, I’ve never been knotted before. Pretty excited.”
When his rut does hit, it’s very obvious that she is in fact excited about being knotted. They’ve done stuff before this, Nico’s spent a lot of time between her legs and vice versa but he’d been waiting to knot her. Traditionally, he wouldn’t knot her until they’re mating but she’s not ready for that, physically or mentally. But he wants to share his rut with her, wants to be with her anyway he can so this is a big moment for them.
While they don’t seal their mating bond here with a bite, him knotting her seals the tie between their wolves, their spiritual bond.
And it’s a big moment too because they both get to see that reader’s omega knows what she’s doing, she’s not broken or dumb. Her wolf picks up on Nico’s rut right away and it all comes to her so natural. She knows just how to take care of him, how to be there for him. It’s the first time she ever presents for him, the first time he witnesses her letting her omega take over.
Nico gets kind of rough and caveman-ish during his ruts, something he thought she wouldn’t really like since she’s denied rankings her whole life, but it’s the exact opposite. She preens under it, blossoms into this beautiful, strong, and sweet omega that he knew was in her.
This will be a full scene and part of the fic later so I kept it kind of vague haha. Sozzzz

jersey’s first time on the ice
“Hold her Nico!”
Your husband laughs under his breath, meeting your gaze across the five feet of ice he just put between you and him. You’re leaning over the boards, hands clasped together nervously and you cringe at the amused tilt of his head.
“Sorry,” you say but as soon as he skates a little further backwards you’re wincing. “Nico careful.”
“I’ve got her,” he promises, pausing for a moment to watch you take a couple deep breathes. You nod, taking his gloves off the boards to start fiddling with the fingers of them.
Jersey blinks up at him from the crook of his arm, her head cushioned by his elbow pad and practice jersey. She’s wearing the hat Nina knitted for her, a tiny little cream colored beanie with her name embroidered on the folded edge in the same shade of brown as her eyes. You’ve buttoned her into a fuzzy white onesie, paws over her hands.
“Are you nice and warm?” He murmurs, taking in the pink flush on the apples of her cheeks. You bundled her up in the locker room, so scared that’d she be too cold on the ice but now the poor little thing looks like she’s going to sweat out her whole morning bottle.
Nico fusses with the buttons of the onesie, opening up the fabric until he can see the flower print newborn shirt he’d picked out for her before he left for practice. Her chest puffs out with a deep inhale, sighing in relief as the cool rink air touches her warm neck.
“Sorry my love, mama gets a little worried.” He whispers through a smile, and then decides he’s given you enough time to relax, to trust him so he carefully skates in a little circle, keeping his movements slow and gentle.
Jersey doesn’t even seem to notice. She just keeps staring up at him, her tummy and chest rising and falling under Nico’s large palm, pacifier tucked between her lips.
“She’s a natural,” Nico tells you, looking up with a smile. Your heart leaps up in your throat when he does another lazy loop, leaning more into it and you wait for Jersey to cry, to kick at his hands and realize her daddy is on ice skates, is whipping her around over a hard sheet of ice but she doesn’t.
You let out a wobbly laugh of relief, only a little guilty for doubting Nico. He’s been skating his whole life so you shouldn’t have anything to worry about, but you’ve witnessed a lot of games where he’s ended up on his ass or his stomach on the ice after catching an edge.
“She’s not scared?” You ask anyway and he shakes his head, skating back up to the bench for you to see her. Sure enough she’s tucked comfortably in his arm, cheeks dipping as she gnaws on her pacifier and looks between you and Nico.
He meets your gaze. “M’gonna take her for a big lap, okay?” And you just nod, still clutching his gloves like a lifeline as he leans in to kiss your cheek. The same way he skates with you at the holiday party, easy and slow, Nico moves around the boards, keeping a careful watch on where he’s going and how Jersey is doing.
She must realize that they’re doing something new because Nico adjusts her, sitting her up against his chest and when they lap around for you to see her face, she’s smiling wildly around her pacifier. Eyes crinkled, cheeks dimples in the same way her father’s do.
He takes one of her little arms in his hand and makes her wave at you. Giggling, you quickly slip out your phone, pulling up the camera to get a video of him and Jersey skating back up to the bench together.
“Do we look cute?” He asks, leaning over to look at the screen.
“Very,” you compliment, then nudge his shoulder back. “Let me get a picture of her first skate.”
Nico smiles just as wide and crazy as Jersey did, his hair damp and messy on his forehead, his summer beard thicker than he usually lets it get in the off season. The new dad look. And it looks so good on him.
You snap the photo of them, let Nico see it for a moment and he laughs with delight. Him and Jersey go for another lap around the ice while you post the picture to your Instagram story, tagging Nico.
Look out world, another Hischier just hit the ice 🤍🏒
