Creativity 15.06
After making the phat kaphrao I became really fond of rice so i decided to make a dish with rice again. I made fried rice with asparagus and eggs. I used diced onion and garlic, asparagus, eggs, soy sauce, and obviously rice. I quite liked the dish because it was unique. I certainly will make it again because it was tasty but also because i want to improve it. I will use more onion because it wasn鈥檛 really recognisable in the taste and also less soy sauce. I might also add chicken as i think it could enrich the taste.聽聽

Amnesty International
Since the 17th of May we have been having weekly Amnesty International meetings via Teams. We have talked about serious issues that are currently happening. I am very happy that we were able to meet even if it鈥檚 not in person, however, it is hard sometimes. Many people try to say something at the same time and because of that there is a lot of confusion. we should try to work out a system so everyone gets to say what they want to say. On the other hand i haven鈥檛 been saying a lot mostly because of the confusion and because i haven鈥檛 gotten used to working through a computer. I need to work on that so that i can say what i want to.聽

Activity 06.06
I went out again to play basketball. My friend couldn鈥檛 come earlier so i was just practising by myself. I thought it might be fun to shoot fade aways. It was actually going quite well but after 30 minutes of doing it i wedged the ball. i didn鈥檛 have anything to throw so i just sat there for another 30 minutes and waited for my friend to come with his ball. He got my ball down and after he warmed up we played 1v1. I couldn鈥檛 really get around him and because he is 15 cm taller than i had a problem with scoring. Because of that i decided to practise and improve my dribling and ball handling so that i can get open more easily.聽

Activity 30.05
They finally opened courts outside so i could go out and play basketball with my friend. We mainly just shot the ball. While doing that i felt that my jump shot is too slow. Later when we started playing 1v1 i was sure. I didn鈥檛 have enough time to shoot the ball and my friend could easily close down to me and block my shot or at least highly contest it. I really need to work on realising the ball quicker and that鈥檚 what i will be focusing on the next few days or weeks.聽

Creativity 24.05
A long time ago i made an apple pie and i decided to make it again. This time i added two more apples to make it less dry. Unfortunately, while the apple pie was in the oven, I was writing an essay in the other room. because of that i didn鈥檛 hear the timer and it stood in the oven too long. Fortunately one of my family members noticed it and took it out of the oven but it still got a little bit burnt. On top of that, adding two more apples was a mistake and after i cut the pie it fell apart. On the bright side now i know the perfect amount of apples and i learnt that writing an essay while cooking is not a good option.聽

Activity 13.05
It has already been almost two months since i started exercising. I really feel healthier and better now. I have been working out 5-6 times a week and i don鈥檛 plan on stopping. I always read or heard somewhere that exercising really helps you feel better but i never imagined that the impact would be so great. I have never felt so amazing in my life. It has also worked good on my mental state as i was feeling really exhausted from sitting all day behind a computer.聽I feel that now i can do the intermidiate workouts so i will start doing that.聽
I also want go outside and take long walks from now on because the lockdown has ended.聽

Creativity 03.05
This time i made tomato sauce. Pasta with tomato sauce was always one of my favourite dishes so i decided to make it myself. I used passata with basil, minced meat, some beans, chilli powder and other seasonings, and some cream for the texture. it turned out pretty great although it was a little bit blunt because i was scared of adding too much seasonings. The next time i need to add more of these and particulary more chilli powder because i like spicy food and it wasn鈥檛 spicy enough for me.

I have been feeling good about my stamina lately so i decided to switch my workout to one that focuses more on building core muscles. I have to say that it is really hard. Because of that I realised that probably all parts of my body are weak so i will switch the exercises i do every few days to train my whole body not just one part.

Creativity 26.04
I decided to make phat kaphrao again. This time I added one chilli pepper less and used fresh basil. Now i understand why it is so important. The taste is completely different when you use fresh basil. Making the adjustment to the amount of peppers was on point. Now that i didn鈥檛 have my mouth burnt i could really enjoy this tasty dish. I also tried making the egg differently. I deep-fried it. It was definitely better and it fit the entire dish better. Now that i know the taste of fresh holy basil, I think i should add more of it as it is essential for phat kaphrao.

Activity 10.04
After two weeks of regular exercises that were centered around improving my stamina i thought that it would be also good to improve my phsical strength. I started lifting weights(6 kg) and i realised that my muscles aren鈥檛 really strong. I added weight lifting to my workout routine to work on that aspect of my body.聽

Creativity 11.04
This time i made myself pasta with cream sauce. I used: cream, some Parmesan cheese, a little bit of blue cheese, garlic and other seasonings. It was really delicious but i think i overdid it with the garlic so the next time i make it i should add less. I also think it was a little bit too salty because of the Parmesan so there should be less of it too.聽

Because of the lockdown I have been feeling a little bit rusty. I decided to start exercising. I did a workout for beginners but i still got tired. i realized that i need to get my body back in shape and start exercising regulary.聽

I needed a change from european cusine so i decided to make a thai dish - phat kaphrao. I found a recipe on the internet that i liked(on the photo) and made it. unfortunately it didn鈥檛 turn out so good. i added too many chilli peppers. It was way too spicy for me and i couldn鈥檛 even finish it. I also didn鈥檛 use fresh holy basil. After i had already made it i read that it is really important for the basil to be fresh. The next time i definitely will try it out and i have to add one or even two peppers less.聽

Service 09.03.20
This week on Amnesty meeting we discussed topics related to international women鈥檚 day. we talked about how women are less likely to get promotion and generally discriminated. we also talked about rape and sexual harassment. it is horrifying that 1 in every 3 women experiences sexual harassment. that is a fact that really terrified me because it means that just walking down a street you see dozens of women that have been or will be sexually harassed.聽

Creativity 26.01.20
I really had a craving for banana bread so i decided to make one. i just had to squish all the bananas and mix it up with the rest of the ingredients(flour, sugar,butter and an egg). i learnt that it is much healthier to replace sugar with erythritol but you have to use a bit more of it than you would use sugar because it is less sweet. i left the cake for too long in the oven so it got burnt but only on the surface and it wasn鈥檛 even detectable but now i know to put it for 10 less minutes and also putting one more banana would make it much better.

Activity 04.03.20
the gym was taken because there were some examines in there so we played Frisbee for two hours. our teacher again gave some encouragement in shape of prince polos. as we swapped teams i have started to notice different play styles everyone has聽 and learnt how to play with them so that we are both most effective. sometimes it was really unexpected of some people and it needed getting used to but in the end we managed to win and snatched the price.聽

Service 27.01.20
on the weekly Amnesty meeting we talked about fast fashion and why we should avoid it. it stroke me because me because i didn鈥檛 really think about what consequences it has and bought many clothes from Zara(the most harmful company) and other fast fashion companies not realizing it. now i am certainly going to buy more clothes from Lumpex and other second hand stores. having heard what fast fashion does to the environment made me feel bad about wearing clothes from these stores.
