Hi guys! Hope your Mondays aren’t too bad and hopefully todays verse can give you a more positive outlook on this weeks Monday! This probably is my ALL TIME favorite verse because I sometimes let my anxiety get in the way and Mondays are the most stressful day of the week for me!!

1 Peter 5:7 says “Cast all your anxiety on him because HE cares for you.” 

This verse essentially lets us know that if we are stressed or if we are feeling mental about something, that we can just rely on HIM to get us through it! He is forgiving, caring, genuine, flawless, and will always guide us as he has a plan for us!

Hope everyone is having a great week! If not, maybe this week’s verse will lift your spirits!

Romans 8:28 reads “All things work together for good for those who love God”

Although this verse is short and sweet, it means so much and a lot can be interpreted from it! If you live your life for God, more specifically meaning you have asked him to live in your heart, all things will work together for you! Many times humans can get stuck up on “why” things happen the way they do, but if we love our God and live for him, we will not have to ask ourselves “why” and can find comfort within knowing that everything happens for a reason.

5 Things I’m Excited To Do This Summer 🌈❤️‍🔥

1. Motley Crue concert

On June 16, my best friend Hannah and I will be going to see the rock and roll band Motley Crue at the Braves stadium in Atlanta. We developed our love for Motley Crue after watching "The Dirt" on Netflix and thought it would be really cool to see them in person as this is probably their last tour. When I told my parents that we wanted to go, they had already gotten tickets for themselves too!

2. Work as a server

Being a college student, I am always needing money for events and whatnot. I am so excited to work as a server at a restaurant by my house in hopes of making some extra money for next year and learning all the skills that come along with being a server.

3. Visit my future roommate in Colorado

My fourth roommate for next year just happens to live in Colorado! This is one of my favorite places, although, I have never visited during the summer!

4. Nashville with my mom and her friends

My mom has always been known for her love of Kid Rock and his newer music. Now that I have gotten older, I have also grown to love his music and his unique personality.

5. Spending time with my family

Being away at college, I have not gotten to spend adequate time with my family in so long. The only time this year I got to see them was Christmas break. Therefore, I am beyond excited to spend a lot of time with them this summer!

I would like to start this week by interpreting one of my favorite verses! 

Joshua 1:9 reads that “This is my command- be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” 

Wow! What a great verse. Through these few words, we are left with so much. Often times, life catches up on us. It leaves us stressed out, anxious, and down on ourselves. As humans, we are bound to face tragedy and failure. No matter what may be going on in our personal lives, this verse reminds us that we can always turn to God. He is constantly WITH us. Every mishap and thing that goes wrong in our lives is all a part of a bigger plan, HIS plan. Throughout times of dismay, though it may be hard, we can always rely on God to keep us strong and get us through! He is always our biggest supporter 😇

5 Favorite Places Traveled To ✈️

Below are some of my most favorite places I have traveled to so far! My goal in life is travel as much as I possibly can, it is only my favorite thing to do!! 

1. Seaside, Florida

Nothing beats this place. It is like living in pure bliss! Everything is colorful, the water is clear, the sand is white, and there is nothing but cute shops and wonderful restaurants everywhere! This is somewhere I have traveled to at least once a year since I was a very young age, and I will NEVER stop coming back!

2. Vail, Colorado 

Though this is a change of scenery, it is the best winter scenery ever! You truly don’t even have to know how to ski or snowboard to visit this beautiful place. Over the past 6 years, my family has done a number of things in Vail and around the Vail area such as ride snow mobiles, zip-line, tube, hot tub, and plenty more things! Looking at the mountains while enjoying a great meal or hot cup of coffee is beautiful enough! Talk about the restaurant at the top of the mountain...

3. Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Back to Florida we are! Except way south! This past summer was my first time truly visiting Fort Lauderdale and I can truly say it exceeded my expectations! The whole town is alive until the late hours, there is always something crazy entertaining, and if you go in July, just expect to achieve your full tan in less than 3 hours!

4. Chicago, Illinois 

As my best friend and I went here over Christmas break, I was a little skeptical as it was my first time. However, it blew away my expectations! There were a number of marvelous restaurants and unlimited shopping! I love this city more than New York City, much cleaner!

5. New York City, New York

Although, I did mention I liked Chicago better. There is still something so special about the city of New York and the history that fills it! I would recommend doing all the touristy things if you visit this large, crowded, and beautiful city!

1 Thessalonians 5:11 says that we should “Encourage each other and build each other up.” 

As we go through life, we will meet so many people. Some may treat us with respect while others may treat us with disrespect. In any type of situation, though it may be hard, God has given his word to guide us to use kindness and words of encouragement at all times. Living life being the “bigger person” will allow us to set examples for those around us and to live our lives through God. 🤩

When first getting into reading, it is hard to know what genre is best for you. Heck, it is even harder to know WHICH book to even start with. Before I read my first book (outside of school of course), I watched a collection of YouTube videos and read several blog posts in attempt to find a book that would fully capture my attention and grasp me into the world of reading. Although I was nervous and pessimistic about the idea of reading a book for my own enjoyment, I sat down and did it. After finishing my first book, I was introduced to my new favorite thing to do in my free time! Welcome to My BLOG!! 💕

Hi everyone (:

I wanted to kick off my first blog post by introducing myself! My name is Milan Johnson, and I grew up in Kennesaw, Georgia alongside my awesome parents and two siblings. Being southern raised, I come from huge family meals, most warm days spent by the pool or lakeside, and “the more the merrier.” Most of my life growing up was consumed by cheerleading. Throughout high school I was a part of both the Varsity Sidelines and Varsity Competition team. Along with that, I cheered Allstar at a gym called Stingrays. Between all three teams, most of life was consumed with schoolwork and practice.

Thankfully, as high school came to an end, I was accepted into The University of South Carolina where I would eventually join Greek life as a member of Delta Delta Delta. Through my sorority I have gained so many new friends and have made great connections. Nowadays, in my free time I enjoy reading, working out, tanning, online shoppingggg, and traveling. Without any of these things, I wouldn’t be myself!

My goal within this blog is to share my weekly “favorites,” which could be anything from me talking about my top products to my top favorite places to travel. Along with “favorites,” I would also like to share weekly motivation through scripture. Living through Jesus is the only way to live!! I am constantly reading blog posts and watching Tik Tok posts where influencers share their personal favorites and spiritual motivation and I would love to do that for you guys! Hope you guys enjoy!
