     She sighed softly as she glanced over at him.      “Fine, fine. You don’t have to tell me.” She spoke      with a small pout as the elevator doors then opened,      stepping in as she placed her hand over the opening to      keep the doors open long enough for him to get into the elevator.

     Ian groaned internally when he caught sight of the pout,      huffing out a small breath. “Fine. The crutches I’ll tell you      about. Not the black eye though.” He passed through the      doors and rested back against the walls. “Deal?”

     “I’m sixteen. I’m not exactly allowed to        roll into a gun store to sell them a gun        I shouldn’t even have.”

“So wanna tell me what happened?” She glanced over at him with a small smile, worry showing in her brown hues as she walked towards the elevator and pressed the button to call it.

     “The crutches aren’t related to the black eye.”        Ian let the door swing closed behind him and        stopped beside the elevator doors, gaze flickering        over her briefly. “It’s not important.”

    “I swear, I should be a blonde sometimes,      but yeah.” She nodded slowly as      she opened the door to her      apartment building.

     He ducked in just behind her, adjusting his grip      on his crutches so he could hold the door open      with his shoulder. “Thanks.”

“Concealed weapons?  Like I said,  I’m not an assassin. And if you really want to get rid of it, why don’t you just go sell it?”

     “I am trying to sell it. That’s why I came to you.        I’m not going to give it to some random guy on        the streets and end up in juvie because it got        used in a robbery or something.”

     “Well, that and you’re notorious        for getting in trouble with that        old teacher Harris.”

“It’s not an arsenal.  I’m a federally licensed arms dealer and private security consultant, not an assassin.”

“I’m about ninety percent that’s all true.   Doesn’t change the fact that I’d bet you   have a gun on your right now, and probably   a shit load of other concealed weapons. So   what’s one more?”
