The 88 mm canon is done and sprayed with different colors of primer.
The carriage system took me twice as long to build as the actual canon.
Dragon put in a whole lot of details....
I'm in for something different.
Took this box out of the stash and started gluing....
The Germans ripped the gun out of a Jagdpanther and put it on a mount.
Ever seen it before? guess not I never new it existed untill I came across it on the Dutch Ebay.
And yes it was a real weapon....

Nr.314, The Opel Blitz Maultier
Soon after invading the USSR, German troops discovered that their wheeled transport vehicles were unsuitable for the sparse road network, particularly in the muddy conditions of the rasputitsa.
Only half tracks like the Sd.Kfz. 11 could haul supplies to forward units in these conditions, but removing them from their combat role for supply duties was not feasible, so it was decided to produce half-tracked versions of standard Opel, Daimler-Benz, Alfa-Romeo and Ford trucks (lorries) by removing their rear axles, truncating the prop-shafts and connecting them to redundant Panzer I track assemblies.
Heavier trucks (4 tons payload) were fitted with Panzer II track assemblies.

Nr.312, The 88mm Flak or Flak36/37.
The 8.8 cm Flak 18/36/37/41 is a German 88 mm anti-aircraft and anti-tank artillery gun, developed in the 1930s.
It was widely used by Germany throughout World War II and is one of the most recognized German weapons of the conflict. The gun was universally known as the Acht-acht ("eight-eight") by the Germans and the "eighty-eight" by the Allies.
Due to its lethality, especially as a tank killer, the eighty-eight was greatly feared by Allied soldiers.

Nr.308, The Panzer 4 Ausf.D. DAK version.
During the early development of the Panzer IV, nobody involved in the program knew that this vehicle, designed to serve as a support Panzer, would become the Wehrmacht’s backbone for a good deal of the war.
While today the Tiger and Panther are better known, the Panzer IV was produced in the greatest numbers and served on all fronts in many bloody engagements throughout the war.
In October 1939, the demands for an increasing number of support tanks would lead to the introduction of the Panzer IV Ausf.D version, of which over 200 would be built.

Nr.303, The Sd.Kfz 551/9 Schützenpanzerwagen (7.5 cm KwK37) with Night Vision equipment.
Schützenpanzerwagen (7.5 cm KwK37). Equipped with a 75 mm L/24 low velocity gun, using the same pedestal gun mount employed on the StuG III. Nicknamed "Stummel" ("stump").
In 1944, a revised modular gun mount was introduced to facilitate production that also incorporated a coaxial MG42
. This universal gun mount was also used to create the Sd.Kfz. 250/8 variant and the Sd.Kfz.234/3.
In this version I added Night vision equipment just for fun and I am probably the only one in the world!

Nr.301, The M4A3E2 Sherman "Jumbo"
In early 1944, the United States Army decided that they needed an up-armored version of a medium tank for an assault role for the upcoming operations in the European Theatre of Operations (ETO). However, they had rejected previous plans for such a vehicle, and time was short.
As the new T26E1 would not be ready in time and previous designs had been totally unsuitable for the task, the decision was made to modify the standard US Army medium tank of the time, the M4A3 Sherman.
The vehicle became the M4A3E2 Assault tank or Sherman Jumbo. With only 254 built, it represented less than 1% of the total build numbers for the M4. However, it’s iconic profile left a lasting image that is probably one the most easily recognized M4 variants.
It should be noted at this point that the name ‘Jumbo’ doesn’t appear in any wartime documentation and is almost certainly a post-war nickname, quite possibly created by a model company.
This model was just finished by me for I got it in a deplorable state and it needed serious TLC!!
I stopped weathering because of it's final purpose as a battlefield victic rescued by the M26 Tank recovery vehicle...
