Diablo 3 Champions' Names:

So, I saw somewhere that there technically are semi-official names for all characters that function as The Nephalem. But I have 10-year-old nostalgia and also an ongoing joke with Azmodan pushing me to keep up the silly names, character lore and ethnicity be damned.

I'm playing through the game's story with every single character to try to learn more about them and their personalities and relationships, so if I'm ever too lazy to go around calling the nephalem Fem Demon Hunter or Male Barbarian (which would be most of the time), I'm just gonna call them by the following names:

The Female Line-Up:

Barbarian: Valorie

Crusader: Anguish

Demon Hunter: Pain

Monk: Lament

Necromancer: Vain

With Doctor: Ache

Wizard: Sorrow

The Male Line-Up:

(will add once I play through them and settle on the names XD)

When I first started playing Diablo 3 when I was little, the first character I played with that was mine and mine alone (as opposed to one of my dad's) was the Fem Demon Hunter and together we named her Pain. It was my dad's suggestion, I didn't even know what that word meant in English yet at the time. XD

For a bunch of reasons, the family had to stop playing the game and I missed it for years until last spring I made the decision to straight up buy my own copy and play though it again, once again making my first character be the Demon Huntress named Pain.

And then Azmodan went and said, "You think you know pain? You think you know anguish?"

You can imagine my reaction at the question. XD

So this is gonna be an interesting journey. Full of headcanons and stupidly specific to my personal gaming experience anecdotes and chaos and what not.
