"Midnight"
"He's more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same," Draco reads, glancing down to see Hermione asleep. A grin reaches his lips as he sets the book down gently. For a Muggle book, this one had actually caught his attention; no wonder Hermione was in love with it.
Hermione, groggy from sleep groans, "why'd you stop?"
This had become a sort of midnight tradition for the two. After long days at the Ministry they'd come home to one another, pig out on take out or cook a meal and end their nights reading to one another until they fell asleep. It was usually Draco who drew the short end of the deal, but he didn't mind. Hermione's soft snoring was what lulled him to sleep.
Draco chuckles, "If all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger. I should not seem a part of it." He recites from memory. Hermione needn't know exactly how many times he had read the story and she was too asleep to notice the absence of the book. "Goodnight, 'Mione." He whispers and kisses her forehead, pulling her closer to him.
