ohhhhh. ohhh miquella removing his “love” because “love” is ALSO what leads to discrimination… to love your own people or cause SO much that you’d do ANYTHING for them, including steal from or destroy others, if you thought it could bring them safety and happiness. to have immense love in the narrow is what has lead to so much suffering under the golden order, its quite possible he saw this as part of the core problem. or at least, he saw it as one for gods

to care for ALL he chose kindness, instead, an all-blanketing consideration that cannot solve strife on any foundational level. he chose to forgo his love for trina, potentially his most important connection bar malenia— and rather than hold his love for her at the highest pillar above others, sacrificed it by tossing her away (while at the same time, likely, still intentionally saving her from his own fate; he would not “love” her enough to tie her with him there)

to love within the golden order is to choose Your Own over others. to pick and choose. miquella wanted all to be embraced, and so then felt he needed to divest himself of “love” entirely. maybe this is why it’s seemed so contradictory, in giving all he did up for what is seen as a clear act of love, despite also “abandoning his love”

you don't "hate kids," most public spaces just aren't built for kids, and so the few kids you see are always uncomfortable and distressed.

you don't "hate kids," you hate the intense social rules assigned to kids and anyone who interacts with kids.

You don't "hate kids," you hate how society reproduces its most restrictive elements and how kids are powerless to resist it.
