The Deacon Pout

An Appreciation Masterpost

1) The photo that started it all. Just look at him. The subtle makeup really makes John’s eyes pop, but the pout is where it’s at, friends.

2) Uhm? Excuse me? It this a young man or a greek god? That Cupid’s bow is really something.

3) A profile view. I just adore how soft and sweet this one is. Look at the way his hair moves toward his lips, framing his face. He looks so sweet. And you get a nice sense of how full his lips are.

4) Another lovely profile. Strong nose. And even better view of how full and soft his (slightly parted) lips are. *sigh*

5) This one is, in fact, rather intense. Actually, I’ll stop the description there and let you decide.

6) Ooh, so mysterious, so pouty. You can hide those eyes behind sunglasses, John, but the point is still on full display.

7) Oh, now we move into the 80’s. The eyes are back. The pout is as present as ever, even if the face-framing locks are gone.

9) Even as John got older, his hair a little greyer, his eyes a little sadder, it’s still there. The pout we all know love, with the ever-present hint of a smirk.
