What To Expect Going Forward:

Rewrite: First and foremost, I’m going to be rewriting Softly, Opulent. I have much improved in the time since that first demo dropped, and I’m going to rewrite it to show it. Along with the rewrite, some things in the story will be tweaked:

Characters: Some characters are going through a rework. I had an idea for their stories that’s changing now. The ROs will be tweaked just a bit too—but don't worry, they’ll keep those basic traits that they have already.

Magic System: This won’t be a drastic change with what I have in the demo. But there is some mention of Dalia having magic in chapter one. It’s very brief, but I’m taking it away. There is also an option in the intro post to learn magic but that’s not going to be an option anymore. Magic will still exist in the world, but be much more restricted and only a few select characters will use it. That’s because all magic comes with a price, in the words of Rumpelstiltskin and all that.

Rating: The story is going to be 18+ now. It’s not a really big change, but the reasons for this is simple: there will be sexually explicit content and more in this rewrite, while the plan was only suggestive content before.

Redesign: The itch.io page will be going through an update, and so will the intro post here on tumbler. I will make an updated intro post with the updated info soon. More importantly, the UI of the story itself is going through a rework too.

Pronouns: I want the MC to be more grounded in the world. Gender roles will be more prominent. I’m adding a transgender option instead, if that’s something that people aren’t against. I’m not sure about the non-binary option. I wanted to remove the option to have that choice in the very beginning. Let me know if it’s something you guys want to have as a choice later on (when MC is in a healthier environment), as it’ll take into account whether MC is AFAB or AMAB. (If this makes sense.)

A. I’m on the fence about making A’s gender the opposite of MC no matter what. Let me know if everyone would hate that. I'm only considering this because I wanted to have homophobia be a factor in some stories. But I’m willing to do away with that if everyone wants A’s gender to be their choice.

I think I’ve covered roughly everything. I know this is a lot to take in and I hope it isn’t a deal breaker for some people. The foundation of the story will remain the same!

Fall in love - or don't, friendships matter just as much if not more in Ahnwyn. Everyone has their own goals, and their own feelings about the actions your mc takes.

° You stare up at the giant of a man, tall and broad like a god's tree. Thick bands of brown cover his tiger's eye skin and red stained fingertips rest heavily on your shoulder. Kind chestnut eyes rest under a brow that's heavy even when he's amused. And the ginger beard covering his chin moves as he smiles.

Torren, the Priest : Gentle eyes and hands rest upon a body whose soul is filled with spite and rage. Torren, priest of Solara, Healer, a man sweet to his loved ones and cold to everyone else, your father.

° A laugh like bells fills the room, Torren's hand reaching up to cover his mouth in an attempt to stop himself. Lavender eyes full of mirth open back up to stare at you, his Indigo skin shining under the sunlight. He reaches up, tucking a strand of Lavender hair behind his pointed ear, still laughing lightly.

Lucian, the happy finder : A loud laugh and bright eyes track your every move. Lucian, finder of people, lover of explosives, your best friend. [ mc canonically was best friends with Lucian growing up ]

° Loud is the only word to describe Lucian. Loud laughter rings through the courtyard as they grab the old woman's hands, their tawny skin standing striking against her ice blue. They jauntily spin her around in a circle, their honey blonde curls repeatedly falling into their green and blue eyes.

Huntress, the woman in the woods : Cold eyes meet your gaze, a notched arrow pointing at something rustling behind you. Huntress, keeper of the woods, Eletherin's chosen, your future partner [ mercenary or finder mc's will already know Huntress ]

° You stay out of her way. Jet Black brows furrowed as she walks across the clearing, hazel eyes scanning for something you can't see. She turns around suddenly, her olive hands resting on her hips as she regards you intently, permanent frown etched onto her face.

Elwyn, the information dealer : A smugly charismatic smile rests upon their face, the crowd of admirers swooning as they wave. Elwyn, the favored son, weaver prodigy, your future partner [ weaver mc's will already know Elwyn ]

° They chuckle, white eyes twinkling mischievously as you two stare at the latest suitor. You watch as they lean forward, shirt carefully falling to the side revealing an ice blue shoulder and chest to the air, white nails tap, tap, tapping on the table. The long white strands of their hair pool around them, and like usual, the elf looks almost otherworldly.

Caryden, the newcomer : Scarred hands grip the hilt of a bloodied sword, tattered cloak falling off their frame. Caryden, the escapee, the newcomer, the one who'll change everything.

° You force yourself to look down at the stranger, a multitude a white scars etching across his obsidian skin. He shifts, intense violet eyes locking onto you, and you know at once this man is dangerous. Even with the sickly sheen to his face, blue and black hair strands plastered to his forehead, his body trying to fight off whatever infection it has.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This is an 18+ story. There will be themes & mentions of : body horror, genre typical violence, blood..so much blood, animal death, death in general, the inherent violence of change, and nsfw themes. Tags will be updated as needed.

Elwyn is canonically genderfluid, and their pronouns will change throughout the story as well as how they present physically. If this is not your cup of tea, this may not be the story for you.

This is my first interaction fiction story + I have a full time job ( i work 11 hours a day ) + i will be a full time student again starting August. That is to say physical updates may be slow going but this blog will remain as active as the readers are.

Hello everyone!

The demo for Well of The Divine is now up! It's a shorter one for now and includes the prologue, character customisation, and the first part of your childhood.

I've already started the next part of the childhood stuff as I was going to post it all together but I thought I'd like to share some of what I have with you now! Hopefully this means the wait time between this and the next part won't be too long.

I hope you enjoy and that you don't mind it's a bit on the shorter side. I'll keep working on the final bit of the childhood stuff and when that's done we can jump right into adulthood where everything kicks off!

I know I’ve been teasing it for a few days but I am honestly so hyped to share this chapter with you! Not only have we hit the main storyline and things are starting to happen, but this chapter feels like a collaborative effort. There are several details and scenes that sprang directly from tumblr asks and discussions. You’ve helped me flesh out ideas and characters, and I can’t wait for you to see how our story is unfolding! 💕
