Summary:

“Surprised you came out, Tomochika. Don’t seem to be the sports type.” Makoto stretched his arms and legs as far as they could go. Kenji did his best not to stare.

“I care about seeing how much better you are than everybody else. With the way Kaz has been hyping you up, you’d think you were secretly a cheetah or somethin’!”

That got a huff out of the taller teen, causing Kenji to grin. It always felt great to get a reaction out of Makoto, the guy was stone faced more often than not. His grin became unsteady when a heavy weight dropped in his lap. Suddenly those sharp grey eyes were looking up at him. Makoto had draped himself across the bench, head resting on Kenji’s lap.

“Let me rest for a few minutes, then we can go. You’re cooler than the bench…”

Kenji could only find it in himself to nod, able to breathe once Makoto’s eyes closed, long eyelashes brushing exertion flushed cheeks.

Expansion on a drabble I had in one of my kenjikoto collections. Mostly introspective but for my shorter stuff, I just like to write until it feels done.

Doubt I'll be able to keep up the pace, I've just felt inspired to write lately, probably gonna need to make myself take another break ha.
