Hi kiddos!
Many of us have a hard time regressing on our own. You know, when your caregiver or sibby is not available. And sometimes you just can't. And that's okay! I always start feeling like I'm getting distant from my regression if I don't regress every day, so here are some things you can do to still feel like it's truly yours.
Make your little self some activity sheets to do! I have a post on this and it's super easy. You can also make coloring pictures!
☆彡
Write out some questions your little self can answer (later or right then and there)! If you want to feel extra tiny, use your opposite hand to write than what you usually write with! It'll make your handwriting sloppy and more childlike. These questions can be somethings like:
- What are your favorite [insert cartoon here] characters?
- If your stuffie turned into a human, what would you do together?
- What are your favorite foods?
- A dinosaur is approaching you! Draw what it looks like!
- Oopsies! You looked into your reflection in a magic mirror! You turned into an animal of your choice for a day. Draw what you would look like and write out what you would do!
And anything you feel like asking/answering!
☆彡
Choose outfits you'd like to wear when little! Choose anything you feel like and maybe make coloring pages of those outfits, and when you wear them, color them in!
☆彡
If you plan on regressing soon, make yourself a comfortable space and prepare stuff for it, like activities, snacks, some water, wash pacis/teethers etc. and maybe even plan an outfit! You can make a list or don't!
Hopefully these tips help at least one age regressor/dreamer! Have fun kiddos! Love you ♡

I want to be little.
I want to drink milk out of a sippy cup while playing animal crossing. I want to cuddle up in my blankies watching cartoons. I want to be made little snacks and taken care of.
I don’t want to be big anymore.

♡ Helping a someone who is..
(These can apply to anyone, regressors, caregivers, friends & family.)
{🌟} Having an anxiety or panic attack:
·Stay/present calm as best as you can
·Do breathing techniques with them, do them yourself so they can watch and copy
·Reassure them of their safety
·Play music or sing for them
·Stay nearby and keep them physically safe
·(If they consent during or beforehand) Hold them tightly in a hug
{💫} Dissociating:
·Help them ground themselves
·Take them somewhere quiet
·Ask if they need anything
·Get them something cold to hold onto (cold glass of water, ice cube, etc.)
·Do/watch/play something comforting
{⚡} Ticcing or stimming harmfully:
·Limit sensory input
·Don't make them stop or hold them down
·Give them something to hold which may help prevent hurting themselves
·Encourage them to do positive stims to calm down
·Listen to music/watch something/do something they like so they can focus on something positive
{🌠} Having flashbacks:
·Reassure them that they're safe with you and that it'll be over soon
·Stay with them if they want/ask you to, leave them alone if they explicitly tell you to
·Make sure they're physically safe
·Hold them if they give you consent to
·Let the flashbacks play out, it will end
{🌙} Experiencing hallucinations:
·Talk to them about how they're feeling and what they see
·Attempt to tell them it's not real, you do not see/hear what they do
·^Don't argue if they don't believe you
·Let the hallucinations play out as long as everyone is safe
{☀} Having a seizure:
·If they fall/collapse, try to soften the landing (especially for their head)
·Keep them on their side
·Keep their airway clear
·Time the seizure, if it goes over 2 minutes (5 at most) then call emergency services
{✨} The most important thing to do to help someone during these instances is to ask them! During, beforehand, or afterward, discussing things you can do to help them while it's happening. Ask them if they know of any specific triggers and if there's meds they can/should take. It's helpful to rest and relax after any of these cases, help them get settled back down, get them water, ask if they need anything. Respect their boundaries, if they want to be left alone then that's perfectly okay. Safety is always a priority, if you're worried about someone's physical or medical safety it's best to contact someone professional to assist.
