I haven't played EoT so hear me out but don't listen to me:

The Crystal Bearers and Echoes of Time are parallel timelines that can not coexist. My basis? Vibes and spoiling lore for myself because I'm impatient. Also, the timeline split in RoF which I probably poorly understand. I'll refine it and decide whether this is stupid or not later but I spent an hour torturing myself on the treadmill and bouncing this around in my head.

I went and made a textless/logoless version of the Piano Collections artwork I scanned not too long ago. It took me about an hour and a half to do.

I also made 1080p and 1440p wallpapers. There's also other wallpapers in the above link too, though I didn't make them.

Ambivalent Yapping

Since being in the military gave me free college, I've been struggling to use the damn thing. I have to use it or lose it so I'm considering just doing an art degree. If it pans out that way, I'm probably going to be drawing a lot of FFCC stuff since I have brainrot. I mention the panning out part because I have always been a pretty dumb dude. I joined the military for a reason and I have been pretty aimless without it. There's no helping it and I won't be able to go back for some pretty obvious reasons, but if I can get back into art somehow, I'm hoping I can give myself some direction. It's just going to also be tricky because I hurt my wrist trying to push out a full 4k illustration once every two or three days. I've given up on the idea of making art being a painless process, but if I'm going to suffer I want it to be something worth suffering for.

The last major piece I made before giving up for almost half a year is my progress marker. I would need to surpass it to feel just an ounce of satisfaction.

Layle/Keiss thirst is terminal. Thots and prayers, man.

They tried to straighten Keiss out and everyone just ignored it lmao.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is set in a fantasy world where "crystals" form the balance of nature. There are four tribes that inhabit this world who at times work together. In this current installment, The Crystal Bearers, the crystals have become the basis for a new technology called crystal reactors and through developing this technology, the Lilty Tribe has become very powerful. This is a whole new world.

Players will get to enter this world by becoming the crystal bearer Layle and they can use Layle's powers to interact with the people and monsters they find in this world. Layle is Clavat. He's also a crystal bearer. A crystal bearer is a being that always has some part of their body that has been turned to crystal. They are powerful beings who possess magical abilities derived from the crystals, but because of their power, they are feared by the public and, at times, exploited. They are, in some ways, tragic figures.

Layle has the power to control gravity, so he can draw things towards him, or push them away. He can even use his powers to "pull" his own body to leap great distances and such. Layle can find and equip various accessories that will increase the power of his gravity manipulation or increase his defense so he can take less damage from attacks. You can purchase these accessories in shops or you can collect the necessary materials to have them custom-made. You can find a veriety of materials in different areas of the world. You can take these materials to a "workshop" where they will make accessories for you which you can then equip to customize Layle to your liking.

Character Designer: Toshiyuki Itahana

Layle is a powerful crystal bearer who controls gravity and has already been through many adventures. So, rather than a boy who still has some growing to do, I designed him to come off as a confident, fully-grown adult.

Belle is a peddler of information. She's very independent, but also a bit selfish and her actions are always motivated by self-interest. She sees potential for profit in Layle after an incident aboard the airship Alexis, so she begins to follow him on his adventures.

Keiss is a Selkie, and he's got a way with people. Silver-tongued, you could say. It's never quite clear what his motivations are, but for this game, you can think of him as Layle's partner.

Jegran is the highest ranking officer of the Lilty Army. He was placed in charge when there was news of the Yukes reappearing in the world. He is determined, sure of himself.

Amidatelion is a member of the Yuke Tribe that were thought to be wiped out of existence years ago, after the Great War. When Amidatelion first appears before Layle, they have an "altercation", after which Layle feels that he has a score to settle with the Yuke, and thus he begins to pursue Amidatelion.

That's how the game's story first unfolds.

Medal 32 : "Don't Deserve To Live" is translated from 「人間失格」 or "No Longer Human" which is also the title of a very famous book by Osamu Dazai. I'm adding No Longer Human to my reading list so that I can see if TCB makes any more references to it or if it was a one off or coincidence.

It will take me a long time because books like this tank my mental health if I don't take them slowly in manageable chunks.

ETA: Don't listen to me for the next idk week? I'm making huge logic leaps and mistakes because schizophrenia has my one braincell and I'm not even supposed to be posting at all but I refuse to listen to myself. So if I do it again, sorry.
