The Demon-Haunted World, by Carl Sagan Written in 1996, this book is at least as applicable today as it was then. There are few people I admire so much as Sagan, and this book captures his essense beautifully in his engaging manner, geeky wit, empathy, and uncanny ability to frame science as art.
