HEY, REMEMBER WHEN I MADE THIS POST?!

So I’m reading a relatively old Java Junkie fic (circa 2007 or so) in which the two of them get married, and I’m on the 28th chapter, the chapter in which the wedding happens. And I’m reading about them interacting the night before when it hits me like a lightning bolt.

We may actually get to see this. We may finally, finally get the wedding we all hoped for. We may actually WATCH IT, WITH OUR OWN EYES. Lorelai in all her nervous energy, Luke in his stoic anxiety, or maybe the opposite, but them, literally them for real. Standing together and vowing to be together, loving each other, forever. No more imagining it, no more pretending, no more making it up.

We might actually get the real deal, you guys.

God, I can’t wait for this damn revival. Please give us a release date!

In the case of him being engaged, I feel like Odette represents his family obligations. I feel that Rory represents his true heart and soul and his love. Logan has always had his feet in both of those worlds— his family obligations and his love for Rory. I hope that it came through that Logan is deeply in love with Rory, always has been and always will be. I will also say Rory’s in the same position. Obviously, Rory and Logan have a mutual agreement. It’s not one-sided. Whether that’s right or wrong, I’m not saying. Whether I’m defending Logan, I’m not saying. But my job is to try to get the audience to connect with Logan and understand why he’s making the choices he’s making.

can you believe that luke danes brought a screwdriver with him and started fixing things in emily’s house after the funeral because he shows he cares about the people he loves by fixing things for them
