Robespierre is being so sentimental and a bit irrational later. For Saint-Just, who is so calm and firm as always, having a bit of disputes with Robespierre on their political views, supports him firmly until the end. It is evident that Robespierre is somehow emotionally and psychologically dépendant on Saint-Just’s reaction.

I don’t think it’s good to claim about homosexuality or stuff since it made Saint Just and Robespierre are sexually attracted to each other instead of a more profound spiritual connection.
