Sorry for posting this late here in tumblr. Life happened. ✌🏻

Such a whirlwind in the first hours after this chapter released. I expected a TogaSaku but instead we got a HiraSako! We all freaked out. This is such a good closure…and a peek of what’s to come for all of them.

Yes we’re eating good! More wholesome loaves of bread please, Nii sensei! 🍞

It starts where we left off with our cutie patootie Choji 🥹 the cute aggression is real whenever he’s on the page. He’s enjoying himself, chowing down on good food and surrounded with good people. 💚

Aaand knew it. Of course Sakura went there to thank them. So they saw his beat up face! Sakura is just squirming from all the attention. He’s not used to it. Oh soft baby Sakura. You are loved and adored.

I’m so happy Nii sensei showed this!! I talked about in twitter how Choji is actually trying out fresh Red Bean bread that Umemiya gave him the last time they saw each other. Choji not only get to try it again…he bought more food for souvenirs!! Oh my fragile heart!!

If you read the small text, he even told the employees about how he knew about their bakery thanks to Ume-chan. asdfghjkl~ He also told them he’ll drop by again next time 😭

This chapter is really making my heart full because look at how Choji is twirling about~! He's acting more like his age.

But more than that, THIS is one of the best things that came out of the Noroshi fight. Three gang leaders, who were former enemies, now agreeing to be friends! I am hyped up with Nirei on this one. We are witnessing a historic moment! And this is giving us a peek of what will happen in the future chapters.

Oh, Sakura. You care so much for your new home and took one big step that not only helped your found family but caused a great thing to happen.

The way it dawned on Sakura. And the way Tsubaki is looking at his precious kouhai proudly. 🥲

And the wholesomeness continues~ Tsubaki was hyping Choji up; he talked about what Mizuki and Momose said. They were praising Choji’s strength, and I find their reactions adorable & hilarious. They're like “oh hell nah im not gonna fight him”

Then Choji shoots an arrow of "Hehe I'm doing this for my friend Ume-chan!" right to our hearts! Arghh I wanna squeeze his baby face!! (≧∀≦)

And then here's Togame holding his “That’s my buddy Sakura!” face again (*´∇｀*)

Sakura trying to divert the unwanted attention away from him again after by asking about their other gang members.

The way I laughed when Suo emphasized “HE” meaning Numa and Togame (and Nirei) just knows. Poor guy. 😅

Oh dear oh dear. We didn’t expect this chapter to become a HiraSako chapter!! And it is giving too much “c’mon! Do it! Go talk to your ex” vibe (and y'all know this is not the first time this happened)

Togame and Choji always pushing the agenda. How supportive.

I love how level-headed Kaji is when it comes to this.

And I’m glad he’s not a character who would be jealous over it. The three know each other well enough and Kaji never sees it as a competition to be the best kouhai or what not. He wouldn’t reach out to Sako back then if he did.

Gahh how adorable! Hiragi’s shook of how polite Sako is towards him. Then having a mini internal crisis.

Sako sees that and finds it hilarious. The embarrassing yet joyous tune carefully breaks the ice between them.

Sako's face in that last panel just makes me think he finds his past self ridiculous now.

Despite how their fight felt so long ago, I'm so glad we’re seeing this talk. Sako wanted so badly for Hiragi to be the one telling him he needs him but never got it. He could’ve just followed him anyway but I guess he thought Hiragi’s words meant he doesn’t need him.

He wanted to prove how wrong Hiragi was by joining Shishitoren and become strong enough to beat him one day. Welp. Since their fight, Sako must’ve wanted to hit himself for being such an idiot.

i feel like Inugami was kinda inspired by what happened in the Shishitoren fight that he was able to face his senpai. And Sako got to see the “what ifs” if he did the same thing back then to Hiragi. If he just denies what Hiragi told him and said "It doesn't matter. I will continue to follow you"

No wonder Inugami’s been sticking with Sako since then. The fact he knows his senpais's past tells how close they are.

I really wondered what went down with Shishitoren after their fight with Bofurin. As expected, there were scuffles within the group here & there. Surely, some left. Choji & Togame have to be strong enough to face such hurdles after what they’ve done. But look at them now.

Because they cared so much for their group and have each other to help through those trying times that they were able to reform Shishitoren the way it is now. What a domino effect.

Sako became inspired himself to face his own mistakes as well. And it led to this.

That “Aaaah finally” panel…I really felt that. Relief to finally apologize after holding unto bad feelings for so long. Relief to finally mend their friendship. I freakin' teared up. This manga argh!

And of course they were interrupted! Ah, I wanted to hear what Hiragi has to say to Sako, but I think we get the idea, judging by those soft eyes gazing at his kouhai.

Looking at the panel wit both Sako's Shishitoren friends and Hiragi's Bofurin kouhais, it's another glimpse of what we will see more in the future. A unity and camaraderie of different gangs.

We’re actually getting a victory party sooner than expected!

WE ALL DESERVE THIS!! 😭the sunny & bright pages are such a breath of fresh air 😮‍💨

It took almost a month for our boys and the town to recover. I can imagine the school must have suspended classes first for the boys to heal and help repair the damages.

Oh man, look at our Class 1-1 all up and about and just being teenagers. We miss this.

And we got Nirei wearing clips again!!! He looks so cute 🥰

Wow, there are seats both on the rooftop and on the school grounds. There's so many people! It’s almost like a school festival.

Pfft our typical Ume & Hiragi shenanigans 😅 Ume’s voice will always be loud dear Hiragi.

Our dear gang friends are here 🥹Aww, look at them all shy...and nervous! I mean, this doesn’t happen everyday y’know…celebrating and being friendly with another gang. All the more for the Gravel gang.

They’re really the best for going all the way to come and help; Especially after that scary hoard of “❌" in the Bofurin group chat (the traumaaaa). Our anxiety and stress spike ever since that happened.

I immediately remembered Umemiya’s bow to the grade captains & vice captains. And now he’s doing the same thing in thanking the other gangs who helped them. The panels even look exactly the same!🥹

To be honest, I don't know what I would call this party 😅 our leader is strong but not great at coming up with party names. Haha.

From “Sakura’s first conversation anniversary” to the simple “thank you” party. To think Hiragi suggested "Welcome party" the first time this kind of thing happened, and I believe Umemiya thought "Thank You Party" would be okay after that. 🤭

We’ve been waiting for their Summer BBQ party with Umemiya’s grown veggies and now it’s happening!! Let's go!!

Sakura and Nirei are in the BBQ station...and Sugishita is not having it. I understand him though. He helped and worked hard in growing those veggies and if most of them are burnt…heck no! Sakura is trying his best, Sugishita. Have patience for your fighting partner.

And look at their SUMMER UNIFORMS!! They’re all short sleeve and white! It’s so cuuute!!

The Class 1-1 boys are growing on me. I mean, look at them being all supportive (and showing off) to Sakura. I love their dynamic. I don't know, it warms my heart when they call Sakura “The Cap” 🥰 aww

"The Cap's gotta make his move" -- what do they mean though? Why does it sound like their Cap has a crush on someone and needs to take his chances 😆 Probably they meant he needs to go enjoy and socialize (knowing how he is) rather than be stuck grilling meat.

I'm not sure about their grilling skills though. If you’ve read the special comic, y’know what i mean.

Nii sensei…you really drew Sakura like this. 🤣I feel like Sakura was pacing to and fro in his room, itching to go see everyone outside Furin and thank them.

Oh, wait. Don't tell me he also looks like this when he went to thank Shishitoren; especially in facing Togame. 🫢 I can hear the Second-in-command be like "Sakuraaa~ is that you??" the same way Kanji reacted.

Same, Tsubaki, same. I am like truly happy and proud to see Sakura hanging out, caring and talking to his friends. Look how much he pouts and blushes. He's come such a long way *sniffs*

Their reactions though from giddy to embarrassment when they heard he still sucks in playing games. Please, Nii sensei. We need an extra or one-shot of Sakura finally winning one!

Oh what’s this? Why end here? Not gonna lie, it’s like Togame is abt to confess. (I mean, throughout the arc, he’s always been “thats our Sakura!”)

Fangirling aside 😅 It seems like they’re about to reveal something especially with those reactions…orrr we’re overthinking. Maybe they're just glad to see the leaders of Shishitoren. And it's just the beginning of a beautiful friendship between these four gangs (Bofurin, Shishitoren, Roppo Ichiza, and Gravel).

Side note: If you look at the food he's holding, Choji is finally trying out a fresh Red Bean bread of the town that Umemiya shared before (Shishitoren arc) 🥹

There’s really not much to analyze here. Just pure fun and good vibes! And when it’s too fun, it feels too short 🥲 (despite it being the usual 20 pages)

We didn't get to see Ren Kaji 🎧 though and his vice captains. Kaji had a mentally draining fight so I hope they're doing okay.

I'm curious as to what’s next for the boys other than “the talk”. I'm not only talking about Chika and Umemiya's talk, but Umemiya and Sakura's.

I feel like that's something we need to have where they talk and ask each other about their fights. I'm sure our Bofurin leader wants to know how was Sakura's fight with the legendary Endo. They did leave it up to him to defeat one of Bofurin's shadows. And his fight did leave a dent on Sakura's mental and emotional state.

And Sakura would want to be clear with Umemiya what Endo was talking about. It seems Endo did say those things about Umemiya to Sakura out of spite and jealousy, but I'm sure Sakura still has questions about it; especially when Endo noticed how distant Sakura looked.

I'm guessing we will see that conversation in a flashback. I really hope we do.

Other than that, Nii Satoru sensei had a Q & A with Thai fans about the future of Wind Breaker and if my memory serves me right, we will have more info about Kiryu and Suo in the future.

I also hope for Sakura's back story soon too. I have my guesses that someone from Sakura's old town, someone familiar, will appear and trigger it.

Obviously, we don't want it now. I hope our mangaka will ease us in to the next arc. We just experienced an intense and stress-filled 59 chapters after all. So let's enjoy these light panels while we can.😋💚🎐🍻🍖

There’s actually not much to analyze about this chapter ‘cause it’s simply well said. So I’ll be sharing my thoughts & feelings. This chapter has such a warm (with a hint of sad) end to a rollercoaster of an arc

Oof my dear boy here needs to rest

I do kinda feel bad for Endo. In a way, he just has this longing and slow burn love for Chika and he just knew he can’t be seen by him the same way he sees Umemiya; being accepted in his world.

Endo gives him everything while he receives nothing (but punches and kicks).

No wait. This is adorable. TF. Endo expects a good hit from Chika but was ecstatic when the kick was harmless. Chika didn’t even give one hit but multiple soft hits??!! STAHP! That’s too cute.

The way Chika's fist froze when Endo mentioned a hot bath 🥲 He's tired af and being babied by Endo 😭

This confirms all the things he said to Sakura about Umemiya is his negative perspective of him. He DETESTS and is jealous of the guy who’s able to be in his Chika’s world.

Now…this is sad.

Something tells me Chika had a really bad experience with people at a very young age…or maybe had none at all :(

Maybe links to his probable face blindness. People who have such condition are usually mistaken to be cold or indifferent towards people, but it's because they have a hard time remembering people's faces. Although, in here, it sounds like his indifference to humans makes him develop face blindness. So I hope we get to hear more of Chika’s past in their talk.

Ah, there’s our Umemiya.

Come to think of it, since his biological family died, Umemiya was exposed to people from different walks of like who are not his blood since he was 9. He has grown and absorbed a vast world for 8-9yrs.

And he could truly tell Chika how amazing it is.

Without even realizing it, Chika actually made the first step to expanding his world. It started from the moment he accepted Umemiya. He even said Ume’s name before Ume told him this trick.

And now that he is aware of it, Chika looks like he decided to accept more people in his world, little by little.

(For some reason, maybe it's because his hair is drenched wet, but he looks lost here 🥺)

I SCREAMED. I knew it. And I’m not even an endochika stan. Oh Endo. Chika has acknowledged him 😫AND A FULL NAME!

(I actually thought we’ll have something dramatic like Togame & Choji crying scene but i dont think it’s ready for that lol)

HUZZAH! UME WON! WE WON! 🎐

Tsubaki collapsed in relief, cutie Choji cheering, and Bofurin, Shishitoren and Roppo Ichiza together rejoicing 🥹and our Class 1-1 are okay 😭

Now y’all gotta tend to your wounds, bath and rest! Jeez 😮‍💨🤧

No words were said but that smile and gesture says a lot. Both leaders didn’t lose. They kept each other's promises.

Umemiya is thankful, happy, and proud of Sakura. Not only for winning and being there for him, but for becoming the person he is now. He is glad his kouhai part of the found family, Bofurin 🥹💚

And we got a double COLOR spread of the two!! 😭😭😭 Thank you Nii sensei! This is beautiful 💚

I hope they get to talk after ALL that. Sakura was a bit shaken up in seeing Umemiya like that and I'm sure he has questions about what Endo meant. Either way, I'm sure Umemiya would want to chat with Sakura about his fight with Endo.

Side note: I LOVE the silly exchange between Umemiya and Endo 🤣most especially reading those small text beside the dialogue bubbles.

I can hear the sarcasm in the “since you didn’t even give half a sht about me before” 🤣🤣🤣

Ah what an end to a great long arc! What a wild ride that was. Hope we get that BBQ! All of them (us included) deserve it 😭

I was hoping Chika would be knocked out already since the last chapter left us with panels of Umemiya giving one hell of a sucker-punch. But I was wrong (at least we get to see them fight under the rain a lil' longer hehe)

This whole page, these three panels, is showing us a frame-by-frame of Chika being punched by Umemiya, indicating it's all in slow motion.

Usually, when a scene is in slow motion, it is either to reveal a certain detail or to emphasize a turning point or a shift in a character or in the scene.

This is Chika's turning point.

I believe the actual trigger of this shift is before the punch; when he froze and saw Umemiya’s determined eyes and the Bofurin leader echoed the deal they made a while ago.

Since then, Chika’s POV sounds different.

I love the bleary effect in one panel, showing Ume's POV. He is almost losing consciousness. I can feel how he is at that moment; energy's all used up, and he's aching everywhere. I mean, he especially had the wind knocked out of him so of course, he's trying to get some air in his lungs.

Despite all that, Umemiya still faces Chika head-on with the amount of will he’s got.

Chika may not be aware of it but this interaction with Ume is affecting him because he allowed it. He allowed Umemiya into his own world. All because of that same fiery aura he has that matches his.

But the thing is, right now, he's not only fighting the strong raging Umemiya he likes, but the Umemiya who wants to reach him into his world; determined not only to defeat him but to understand him.

So the moment Ume declared he wanted to get to know him, it did something to him. That's why it struck him frozen when they saw eye to eye.

We’re then shown a panel of a hammer hitting hot metal; the metaphor Endo used for Umemiya. His perspective is different from what we’re seeing now.

Old Ume may be selfish, forcing his ideals on the unwilling, but Present Ume yearns to listen to Chika. He doesn't want Chika to accept him or anything. He just wants to talk and perhaps have some mutual understanding. He won't make the same mistake he did back then (letting Chika be).

Allowing Umemiya in his world, interacting with their fists, may initially be a mistake, but in actuality, it is a blessing. Chika starts to gradually change. The way the lettering bolds the words "used to" and "good".

In Chika's world, he says he likes what he likes, and hates what he hates. But after that eye-to-eye interaction and Umemiya's words, he suddenly said he used to hate rain. He says it like this never happened before -- this change of his likes and dislikes.

Just because of this fight, this "conversation" with Umemiya, Chika's embers are gradually gone…but maybe his world will grow.

All this time, Chika never cared about the result. He just cares about the thrill of it, especially with someone he acknowledges (Him calling Umemiya's name shows that). And I think Chika probably is looking forward to his chat with Umemiya.

It’s like how Togame & Sakura expressed how they had fun in their fight. Since then, they respected each other (We also got a short-hair Togame joining in their fights and fanboying over his "best bud" Sakura. Lord, I never knew I needed that T.T)

“I had fun” The first time Chika said this, Umemiya was knocked down. He looked sad perhaps cause it's over. And I questioned then, what did he want to get from this fight? To make sure he clearly defeats Umemiya? (After this latest chapter, I don't think so) And what now since he defeated Umemiya?

But this time, the tables have turned. He's defeated...but something’s changed. We don't see his face when he says those words. Only Umemiya’s reaction.

I’m guessing he looked content.

I chuckled when Chika is like “ok bitch you won now move your big head and let me enjoy the rain” But in a sense, this is Chika now, changed and open.

He stares at the rain like how he would stare at fireworks.

Finally, their fight ended with Umemiya as the winner. Not only in their physical fight but also broke Chika's walls down.

We can finally have that talk. (I swear if they’re gonna have it while lying down under the rain, I’m gonna flip)

Sorry if I may not make any sense. I try. My brain is not braining well today. Haha. It's the effects of the Wind Breaker drought!

This was more than I ever imagined. At first, I thought we would have Umemiya & Chika laughing & enjoying the fight like Togame & Sakura in the Shishitoren arc, but I think that won’t be a good approach.

Having that idea happen would give out the kind of relationship or bond that Umemiya and Chika has. With what Nii sensei wrote, yes, i should focus more on Umemiya's point of view and build back up his resolve. Nii sensei has written for us a good chapter.

Finally getting Ume’s pov! This is kind of a parallel to what happened with Togame & Choji, where Togame realizes he should’ve fought or argued with the Shishitoren leader, his best friend; have a conversation.

From these current pages, I don't think Umemiya had a proper conversation with Chika.

Umemiya is glad that Chika is looking at him with what looks like excitement, and heightened interest. Perhaps Ume feels assured that Chika doesn’t see him in a bad light and that he has a chance to connect with him, even though they disagree on ideals.

Ok there's quite a lot to unpack about this part of Umemiya’s internal monologue.

Ume admitted he was blinded by his rage towards Chika for involving the town when all they wanted was him. But it’s not until his head finally cleared up, that he realized how it’s all his fault.

Umemiya has been treating Chika as an enemy. That he ruined their peace. When in fact, in the beginning, he wanted Chika to be part of that peace. Ume just didn't understand why he didn't want to. He never tried. He just let Chika be when he left Furin.

Now, we understand why Endo talks about Umemiya that way. That he was selfish.

Ume has been shoving his ideals on them. Whenever they fought, it’s always “If I win, you JOIN me” or “If I win, acknowledge MY GOALS”. Umemiya was trying to FORCE Chika to give in to his wants, without acknowledging Chika’s feelings or fully understanding him.

When Umemiya says these lines (refer to panels above), it’s not to end the fight with Chika. It’s to put an end to the whole thing. And that is by getting to FINALLY understand each other. Umemiya knew he should’ve done this before and this mess wouldn’t have happened.

I wonder how their conversation will turn out. Will they truly see eye to eye? Or perhaps find a bit of common ground? Whatever will happen, we will at least get to know more of Chika Takiishi.

Things get spicy when Chika starts throwing not just one but TWO tables! Umemiya hit all of them but Chika used that to hide himself in order to get close and land a horrible punch to the gut.

Now we got a chair AND A TABLE thrown off the roof!

I unfortunately have experienced a hit to the gut (not through a fist fight btw). Rather than feeling nauseous, you truly have the wind knocked out of you and depending how hard you're hit, you'll be bordering between being conscious and unconscious.

And Umemiya has been receiving more blows on the stomach in this chapter. Now wonder he looks like he's about to pass out at the end😬

I know it’s a typical shounen thing but still, Ume saying this line is not beating the Gojo-alike allegations (other than having the same Japanese VA)

“My kouhai/student is watching” I actually like this culture of taking care & guiding your juniors. They want what's best for them. I don't often see that here in my country where the older or seniors try their best to be a good example to their juniors.

The way I kicked and screamed when it FINALLY RAINED!! I KNEW IT! Thank you, Nii sensei (although i expected it in the middle of the fight and not near the end of it haha. Maybe saved for a more dramatic flare later👀)

Ume is proud of Sakura! 😭 Like I said in the previous chapter, without our Main Character Sakura there, Ume wouldn't have snapped out of it. All the more, Sakura has given him strength and motivation to win this fight. The fact that he's in this rooftop with him, and sitting beside his opponent, a "Furin legend", Umemiya just knew Sakura did an impossible feat.

Sakura has sealed it for Ume that he is worthy of taking his place as the top, the future leader. He's all the more happy!

For a while, I forgot Endo was known to be a legend. But after we got to know him these past chapters, he’s become more of a silly psycho in love to me. 😆

Chika having that moment like Endo had with Sakura. He saw something in Umemiya’s face and backed out. What could it be? Something similar to Endo? Or is it he can finally see Umemiya clearly now? (If it's true that he has face blindness)

The moment Chika froze and Umemiya clutched his wrist & called his name, it’s over.

Jeez! A freakin' sucker punch to Chika’s pretty face. Do you think Chika is knocked out? Or just disoriented? With how this was a closing to a mini arc of Umemiya, I assume they will finally have that talk. I don't think there's anything more to be said in their fight.

This has been a satisfying chapter. Again, it's more that I ever imagined it to be. The high we feel absorbing Umemiya’s perspective & resolve and through their fists. What a way to wrap it up!
