Everyone admired her strong personality, sense of individuality, and independence but little did they know it had been a rough journey for this little girl. She had to handle and solve everything on her own, face hardships and adult problems at a very young age, live in survival mode, and take care of herself and others. She had to keep it together because no one else would. The strong woman you see today is a defense mechanism built from all the trauma and experiences. Still, she's proud that she became the woman she once promised her younger self she would be.

People do the best they can with the tools they have. If someone is distant, inconsistent, or emotionally shut down, it's not because you're not lovable - it's because they're stuck in a pattern they haven't broken yet. Their actions come from their unresolved pain. It's not about you.

Stop romanticizing the person who didn't choose you. Let them go. Wish them well.

Then take a deep breath, stand tall, and remember: you are made for better things than longing for the person who left.

Have you ever traveled with your friends or bestfriend?

Last May, biglaan ko lang inihabol booking ko going Taiwan to celebrate my bestfriend's 29th birthday. We've been best of friends since pandemic though we've known each other since 2018 pa sa work (team mates). Sa 5yrs na yon, ngayon pa lang kami nag travel abroad. Nag bibiruan pa kami na "what if mag-away tayo ng bongga don?" 😂

No planned itinerary for 5 days, tamang sipot lang sa airport at muntik pa namin mamiss out yung date ng flight kasi midnight yung flight so confusing yung dates. 😂 kahit pag iimpake namin mga 6hrs before we leave for the airport pa namin na finalize. But we booked a pocket wifi at yung hotel 5 days prior our flight. Tamad na tamad umalis? HAHAHA

Pero ayun, pagkuha namin ng boarding pass tinitimbang pala lahat ng bagahe sa Airasia kahit maliit na handcarry kasama! Lahat kami excess baggage (we have 2 additional pax, yung pinsan ni Aizel at yung jowa ng pinsan nya). At the back of my mind ready na ako gumastos para sa checking ng bagahe, pero airasia offered to checkin all our baggage FOR FREE!! Soafer saya non! 🤩

Tapos we use our FREE lounge access pa sa Marhaba. Ang dami namin nakain, good to last hanggang lunch kinabukasan.

Nung on board na sa plane, may kakilala pala na cabin crew yung pinsan ni Aizel kaya pinalipat sila ng seat lahat kami window na since wala masyado sakay. Pero ang catch e napakalabo naman ng window sa Airasia! 😂Hahahaha

Fast forward, nasa Taoyuan na kami. Lahat sila nauna na sa Taiwan Lucky Land, so nung na-scan ko na yung QR ko, di ko na alam nugagawen si Aizel na nag click nung ipad HAHAHAHA tapos NANALO DAW AKO!! potek ang bilis ng escalation ng pangyayari 😂

5,000 NTD!!! ✨Grabeee naman talagaaaa halos 9,300 na din itooooo. To share my blessings, sabi ko split na lang namin ni Aizel para bongga ang shopping at foodtrips namin.🤩

Pagdating namin sa lodging hotel sakto may free snacks pala sila everyday kaya iwas gutom. Commute lang kami everyday at magaganda yung locations na napuntahan namin. Everything goes well talaga, as in pure luck.

On our third day, galing kami sa Shifen (pagod since naka 3 destinations kami maghapon tapos puro lakad at umulan pa), almost mag 9pm na nung makabalik kami sa Taipei tapos long queeing pa sa Ichiran mga 45mins, then plan namin after kain is mag shopping na ng pasalubong sa Carrefour supermarket kasi may 1 day pa kami na gala at mas ok na mag shop na kesa mangarag pa at mag panic buy.

Fast forward na, sakay na kami sa bus going sa supermarket, almost midnight na. Kami lang halos 4 ang sakay ng bus tapos magkaaway pa yung mag jowa.

Random lang nagtanong si Aizel sakin, "magkano pa sez ang pera mo dyarn?" sabi ko habang buklat ko wallet ko, "may 100 pa naman ako dito."

"Waw! 100 nalang?" tapos saka ko naisip na 186 pesos na lang pala yon! Tapos may 1 day pa kami sa Taiwan 😂 So sabi ko, ikaw ba magkano pa sayo? "Barya na lang to sis, hahahah kanina pa ako nagbibilang ng maliliit na coins!" 😂

HAHAHAHAHA parehas pala kami pulubi in the making lol! at don naging word of the day ang "the unbothered" TAWANG TAWA KAMI 😂 ang taas ng economic confidence e kasi may 5K NTD pa sa card tapos may balance pa na 120 yung easycard para sa pamasahe at may credit card pa naman. 😂 Grabe sobrang wagas yung tawanan namin that late night sa bus.

"Kaya pala kanina pa tyo lumalakad wala man lang kain ng kung anek anek, kasi wala ka na pala pera." 😂

"Kaya pala ako yung nagbayad ng ramen natin." 😂

To summarize, sobrang saya ng Taiwan trip namin. Iba talaga kapag may travel chemistry yung friendship. Balanse kasi, since sya yung navigator at taga book ng essentials, meron din ako ambag sa payment solutions at pag book ng uber. Ako din naman taga picture HAHAHAHA boset. Basta mahalaga di kami nag away kahit di ko na talaga naalala na bilhan sya ng cake sa birthday nya. 😂

The realest advice I can give to you is to let people earn you.

We are so quick to give, grant access, and get comfortable with others without merit. Just to end up disappointed from failed expectations and reciprocation.

We should preserve more of ourselves.
