it’s so weird how I spent all of my teens and earliest adult years joking about what an awful girlfriend I would be without realizing that I was saying that because I don’t want to be anybody’s girlfriend

Look I have no problem with aces being part of the community, but historically queer was never used as a slur against them, so as someone who has been called queer as a derogatory insult plenty of times, I'm pretty uncomfortable with them using it. Reclaiming the word queer is fine, but not if it wasn't directed at you in the first place.
Hey.
Quick tip.
You are not the Queer Pope. You don’t get to decide who is and isn’t queer.
Also, get off my blog.

Yuko Shimizu’s Bold Illustrations
by Nick PizanaPosted on March 31, 2014
Already renown for her works in commercial and editorial illustration, artist Yuko Shimizu has an equally captivating fine art portfolio. Her displayed collection of works, ranging from paintings to large scale drawings and computer-based images all seem antiquated, yet modern. Although many of her pieces use a limited palette, Shimizu’s intricate and delicate line work allows her to speak volumes. Many of the objects in her renderings are either boldly simple or alluringly intricate. The images take hold of your attention, enhancing the sense of complexity by repeating different forms and patterns throughout the pieces.

Zhang Haiying
Zhang Haiying is a remarkable painter originally hailing from Shouguang, Shandong Province, China who creates oil on canvas paintings based off of raids conducted on brothels all over China. Haiying’s technique of softly and loosely rendering his female subjects is well juxtaposed against the heavy imagery of the thematic focus in his work. (via)
