I had a full rant ready to go about an army post regarding Jimin’s streams I just saw but then I saw multiple videos of the long wrapped around the block for Jimin’s exhibition in NY.

Having to defend Jimin’s actual success to people who are hellbent on disproving it out of pure bitterness when he has so many people taking times out of their day just to go to events like this. (And mind you all the other exhibitions the members have had ain’t have it like Jimin’s either.) That man has always been extremely popular and just because armys have started to adopt kpop anti narratives trying to say otherwise will not stop that from being true.

But there really couldn’t be a more perfect video encompassing armys collective mentality towards everything that happen recently and towards Jimin in general.

The way this person sneered and mocked what the commenter was saying like it was the dumbest and most unfounded call out ever. I already said that armys would feel fine with what they did to Jimin over the past month but to literally shroud it in this really overly patronizing “praise fest” for him, (which isn’t even that at all in earnest) in addition to all these cringey ass nicknames. It makes my skin crawl.

And that “just say your a solo stan” comment at the end is so telling. Before, solo stan just meant that you only liked one member of the group. But now in Jimin’s case it’s just anybody who tries to disrupt or doesn’t agree with his set role in the system they’re upholding. They really don’t want him to have any kind of advocacy because Jimin’s existence itself is for the group. It’s exactly how the eldest sibling is treated. Doomed to surrender any kinds of goals or ambition for the betterment of the family and how that gets seen as this pure, selfless and normal thing even though it shouldn’t be.

They always praise Namjoon for giving up his solo career to be in BTS and saying how valiant it was, but that was always a willful act. What they’ve been doing to Jimin with stripping him of any solo identity is very forceful and involuntary. They don’t interact with his content and stay ignorant of what he plans to do in the future with his solo career so they can keep their ideal that he only desires to be a member of BTS, nothing else. And that’s also exactly why they’ll call pjms or any Jimin biased person who sticks up for him demonic and anti-Jimin because why would we want to actively sabotage the “good thing” Jimin’s doing for the group?

Mentioning how he goes to the other members shoots, is in their documentaries etc. like those are good enough reasons to deny him any semblance of having any personal worth outside of the rest of the members. They talk about him like he’s a pet instead of a human being. If he’s the most supportive and kind person who’s ever lived then where does that leave the other members? Are they not that as well? Especially if BTS is supposed to be one big happy family. Jimin’s the only one they’ve attached these buzzwords to. They basically use those traits as a ShamWow to absorb any mistreatment Jimin receives from them. Not because they genuinely admire those traits in him as a person. It’s just seen a conveniently valuable.

At the end of the day jimin is the real winner for having fans that stick by him through it all and that are moved by the genuine love they have for him and that are here for all of it, including the most important thing, enjoying and listening to his music and not just showing up the time of a voting not even for the person you are voting for but to satisfy a vendetta against someone else.

“We decided” — Sorry, didn’t realize you were the BTS parliament.

So apparently now ARMY has turned into the French Senate because every time I blink, someone’s out here talking about “we” — who tf is we??? Because I definitely didn’t RSVP to that shady group chat, the triple K if you will, where the fandom council sat down with their gavel and robes and decided RM is the one to vote for — and anyone who breathes in Jimin’s direction is suddenly a “solo” or an anti.

An OT7 account encouraged people to vote for whoever they want, and instead of touching grass or, I don't know, exercising your own right to vote, y’all said, “They’re an anti.” Because they didn’t go along with what “we” decided. Okay Judge Judy. Tell me more about this dictatorship disguised as unity.

And the cherry on top? People acting brand new like Jimin isn't in BTS. I'm sorry, is voting for Jimin somehow voting against BTS now? Did I miss the HYBE press release where he was removed from the group because y’all sure are acting like he’s just some guy with a TikTok account.

Now let’s reverse the situation for a hot second.

Let’s say the roles were reversed and RM was in a poll with another member. If some of y’all had your bias in the same spot, would you be out here chanting “we decided RM!” in the streets? No. No you wouldn’t. You’d either:

Vote for your bias and pretend not to see,

Use that good ol’ split-vote technique to sleep better at night,

Or write 14 Tumblr paragraphs about how you’re being oppressed for having the audacity to make your own voting decisions.

So why is it different now?

Because it's Jimin. And we’ve seen this before. Let me take you back: remember when it was Jimin vs. Yoongi in another voting poll? (TMA) A whole lot of people refused to help Jimin even when he was ahead and had a real shot at winning. And that was FINE — because everyone is allowed to make their own choices. But THEN y’all didn’t even back Yoongi either. You know what some of you did? You teamed up with ajhummas to vote for Lim Woo Young. Not because you liked him, but because the very idea of Jimin winning gave you heartburn. You’d rather Yoongi lose than let Jimin win.

Let that sink in.

And now it's the same tired playbook. It’s Day 1 of the poll and people already dictating the narrative, twisting arms, labeling others as antis because they dared to… vote? For a BTS member? The horror.

People are splitting votes. People are voting for their bias. That’s called doing your best. That’s called respecting choice. That’s called being a fan of a group with seven members.

And let’s not pretend you’re campaigning for RM’s success 24/7. I’m not talking about screenshots and hashtags. I’m talking about actual support. Where are the streams? The playlisting? The charting help? If your only interaction with RM’s music is voting for him in one poll and screaming at others for not doing the same, then maybe you’re not the one to lead the “WE decided” committee.

You want real strategy? Try:

Gathering vote data over the first few days.

Seeing who’s in the lead and working with that momentum.

Coordinating in a way that includes—not bullies—the fandom.

But I guess that’s too boring when you can just yell “JIMIN VOTERS ARE ANTIS!” and call it a day.

With JIMIN Till the End

Hope every Jimin lover has plenty of motivation and drive to fight to win this award for him. He has been rightfully nominated with every metric and chart success underscoring his dream run on the US charts.

His fandom may have decided to sideline him (once again) w/o giving him a fair chance. He never was their first choice at these voting based awards. But we have pushed through every obstacle (be it the rule of voting for the leading member or the one with the most chance) that fandom has made for previous votings (which they conveniently switch up when he is against different members) and had him come out on top.

Fandom has been extremely biased against him to the point a lot of them reacted not with joy for his win (he who is supposed to be one of the 7 they stan) but with shocking bitterness and snide, sarcastic comments. Quite a few admitted to crying out of sadness because the member they chose initially did not win. "He was robbed", as some 'ot7' put it.

When they make remarks like 'we gave him a daesang', to justify them voting against him again, I genuinely feel nothing but revulsion. People who followed the MAMA voting closely know what went down. The strategy according to that one voting fanbase was to vote for the leading member. Even when it became abundantly clear who the leading member was at the end of the 2nd round, so many refused to follow this rule and chose to rally behind the member of their choice.

The same people who parrot the excuse of 'we gave him a daesang'....The loudest bunch in favour of not voting for him on the AMAs have ironically voted for everyone but him during the MAMA voting. The internet never forgets...and jm lovers have receipts 🫣.

Now, 4 days into the AMA voting, the same voting fanbase that went private after JM started leading on TMA in 2023 have once again divided the fandom into making a very calculated decision. This time a clear cut choice between 2 BTS members.

There is, as mentioned earlier, precedent of the fandom ignoring the instructions laid out by the fanbase to vote for whoever. But this time, all fans who are against this decision are being harassed and those who speak up for him are labelled as anti or solo. There is also active smearing of his previous awards and accolades by the fandom on various platforms. It is appalling to witness but at the same time not surprising because many of us had sensed this underlying bitterness and resentment the fandom both covertly and overtly fostered within their community towards him.

Unfortunately, this has been a long time coming. I hope these kinds of individuals are revealed for what they are and what is left of the sensible side of the fandom can recognise the rotten core and cut it off before they devour the good parts completely.

it's so funny how jimin and jimin stans have managed to traumatize every single stan of the other members, they all have an extreme case of inferiority complex they will never admit to. Namjoon stans will be next if jimin manages to win the amas voting lmao.

Because you got yoongi stans with the tma voting, jhope stans and the whole best dancer agenda and jm always being the standout dancer and the one going viral, jjks cz jimin is the proof they will never escape, of a member getting to the same level of success jk has got to without needing to be pushed and be spoon fed everything, th stans for the big wake up call with jm shattering the whole "tkk power duo, most popular members" that was based on th getting the most insta likes lol, also the intertwining between jjks-kths that creates tkkrs who have always held the most resentment at jm for proving their made up narratives wrong over and over again.

(can't think of one, very specific for jin stans now, but overall with face era it's a shared experience of trauma for them over jimin who for them was never supposed to succeed that much, and who could do it with the least amount of tools and prove it's doable without it, a thing that they can never get for their faves)

There is also the shared experience of rapline stans who thought that song writing and contributing to music was going to be at least that one thing exclusive to those members, and a tool to over compensate for the lack in other areas. Need jimin to go for touring next *insert that grim reaper meme knocking at doors* because i know what comes with performer jimin on stage.

It's moments like this that makes you think "wow, this group needs to disband" like I'm not joking. This whole thing is a farce.

Because jimin could come on weverse now and these people will act like they're happy with his presence.

They keep saying "solos are guiltripping us" and Y'all are the ones actively trying to stop people from voting for him when everyone could have just voted for the member they preferred. Literally no one cares if Y'all decide to vote for RM, all pjms are saying is for you to stop mentioning jimin, stop using him as your motivation. Stop acting like he deserves it less.

"Well he's gotten awards in the past" and this same thing happened. The only reason why he's ever won anything over the others has always been because Y'all make these exact same tweets that motivate his stans to work harder.

"We got him a daesang" a daesang that half of you were hoping for enhypen to win, and that the other half only ended up voting for last minute because enhypen stans started to shade y'all and bts. I vividly remember a lot of armys being against him winning the daesang.

So when exactly is he going to be deserving of winning. And it's funny because they say other members deserve because jimin has more western awards right? But still say jungkook was robbed and he deserved when he literally has gotten more US awards and noms than any other member when he's only put out 1 album...

Y'all hate him so much then wonder why his stans hate Y'all and the group. And everyday I will be praying for bts' disbandment just to see jimin free from Y'all. And if not a disbandment I need the rumours of him signing with another label to be real, because Y'all are never going to respect him until you get a wake up call.

And these fight to give these other men some recognition is simply because they're scared of what the lack of accolades breeds in their minds. Namjoon and jhope basically told them they've been unhappy with their solo careers so they do all these things to appease them, almost like begging someone to stay.

But armys think jimin is secure in bts, they think he should be because he's successful. They think they do not have to give him anything because he has never given any indication that he's unhappy with bts, because he doesn't come on live to make snide comments while looking unhappy. They think they don't have to try for him because they're not scared of him leaving.

They don't even care about how he must have felt all these years being the villain in someone else's fabricated love story. Or do they think he isn't aware of how most of the fandom feel about him? He stopped coming on social media for a reason.

Armys don't care though because he doesn't act miserable like certain members. Like how do you think jimin feels about his father being harassed? Something that armys actively try to ignore.

They have collectively decided that he's worth nothing.

Cry about him being successful and the others not doing as well when y'all simply don't like their music... make it sense.

A million playlists makes no difference if you still don't enjoy the music you're streaming.

At this point, it’s not even about the vote. We all know what’s going on. The way people quickly agreed that Namjoon “deserves it more” and that Jimin “already has enough” says a lot, and not in a good way.

When you talk like that, you’re not just expressing a preference. You’re deciding who’s allowed to be celebrated and who needs to step aside. You’re turning Jimin’s success into something uncomfortable. Something to tone down. The usual excuse? “He’d be happy for Namjoon.” Sure. But that doesn’t mean we should always expect him to be the one clapping from the sidelines. That’s not support. That’s erasure dressed up as maturity.

And let’s be real, if you say Namjoon should win, it’s called critical thinking. If you say Jimin should win, it’s solo behavior. This fandom has created a hierarchy of whose voice is valid, and Jimin fans are constantly told to shut up or stay grateful. In every vote, it’s the same. Jimin is never the default choice. Support only kicks in when PJMs do the work. And then people act like it was collective all along. It wasn’t. It never is.

You can vote for whoever you want. But the second you start deciding whose art is more worthy, whose career can “wait,” or who should be happy just cheering others on, you’re not being fair. You’re being selective.

What’s happening now isn’t just about AMAs. It’s about who this fandom is comfortable seeing win. And the truth is, Jimin makes people uncomfortable when he takes up space. That’s why they only clap for him when he’s quiet.

So no, this isn’t about who’s better. It’s about who’s allowed to be loved out loud. And whether you’re ready for it or not, Jimin will be.
