The law of vampirism requires you to suck blood, but they don't say what type of blood. Most vampires go for the neck, which is a terrible area to feed off of. It's hard to manoeuvre or sneak attack, and you easily leave traces of your vampire existence.

Menstrual blood on the other hand, happens to most women, it's a natural process that happens every 2-4 weeks for most of a woman's adult life. You can get a lot of blood, but you gotta go down on a woman on her period, and it leaves no trace.

This ia where the lesbianism comes in, straight men would be grossed out by menstrual blood. But lesbians wouldn't mind the menstrual blood, which makes it more comfortable for them to feed on.
