Dolores: You can't have all those history books in bed.
Mirabel: But I need them.
Dolores: But where will you sleep?
Mirabel: I won't.

Luisa, after sticking her head into a fish tank filled with a mix of energy drinks, espresso and other caffeine and drinking the entire thing in one go: YES! I am indeed feeling very energised right now! Woohoo! Yes! I can feel the energy is streaming through my veins like a choo-choo train!
Mirabel: Luisa, what the hell?

Candle Holder this... Miracle Holder that...DID YOU NOT WATCH THE MOVIE OR LISTEN TO ALL OF YOU OR READ THE Q&A!!!!
Alma NEVER considered the miracle as something she or the family owned or she held as the Matriarch! Rather something they needed to earn! A blessing.
Being Matriarch was never a magical role. For there was also no gifts till the triplets were 5! Alma took the role of leader herself! Casita to shelter. The others def looked for her for guidance! She def had help of others along the way! As she did not build that village alone!
There are TWO miracles. Abuela’s, born of love for family, embodied by her candle, flame-colored magic (stemmed in her grief and need to protect.), the 2nd: Mirabel’s, born of the same, embodied in casita, its colors… everyone’s! (Free and hopeful!)
The miracle is them!
Matriarch was NEVER some magical role where you are holding a candle (added there is no candle now!) or hold a miracle (as the miracle is the love and connection they feel in themselves and each other.)
It is due to their characteristics someone would be next leader!!! Not a magical role. If person so happens to have a gift that is an add on!
You can be leader with or without a gift!!! You can also just not be one. As they are all special/without or without a gift!
Mirabel is special, important, shines and valued as a person even without a gift! She is the true gift for her own self!
AHHHHHHHHHHH!

What is Mariano will do now? He should've realised Isabela won't stop any time soon
This is where he abandons working with/for her (whatever you want to call it).
Isabela moves onto destroying some more townspeople for the next few days. Until Mirabel starts questioning her about the rose bush that has miraculously appeared beside Pedro’s grave.

How many people have went missing the next morning? Is here any of the Madrigals aside from Dolores on the list?
The number is at thirteen. Three of whom being Madrigal: Dolores, Pepa and Félix.
It’s a bad day to be Antonio and Camilo.

How Long will family think that Dolores is doing chores and the blood is from animals?
Pretty much until they get home for the night and there is still no sign of Dolores/confirmation that nobody has seen her all day.
Félix and Pepa, alongside a search party of townspeople, go out looking. Isabela claims she’s going to help, but is actually just making sure nobody finds Dolores… by permanently disposing of the lot.

Will Mariano confront Isabela or try to reason with her? Or go straight to Madrigals to tell them?
He tried to reason with her. Though he did help her hide the body.
He tried to get Isabela to promise that she wouldn’t do this again and would tell her family, maybe they could help her, but Isabela didn’t seem to be fussed. Too excited by this new power she has.

How'd Mariano react to the new plan? I can't imagine him taking it well
Isabela didn’t tell Mariano (or anyone for that matter) about what happened after he left, so… part of him thinks Isabela is over exaggerating or is still just speaking on emotion and doesn’t mean what she is saying.
They are interrupted by the presence of Señor Osvaldo Ortiz, who is bringing supplies for the engagement party that Alma is planning. This is the first Isabela and Mariano are hearing of this, but they can’t do anything about it. Mariano goes to complain to his grandmother, come up with some excuse to push the date back.
Isabela picks one of the boxes up, but plays the “I’m such a helpless young lady, you’re a big strong man, will you help me?” card to lure Osvaldo into Casita. He eagerly agrees to help. Disgusted by him, it only encourages her to test her new powers and dispose of him quicker than Dolores.
Mariano returns and… yeah. He doesn’t take it well.

Is Isabela going to attack anybody else any time soon?
Not yet.
She takes Dolores’ body and buries it beside Pedro, she marks the unofficial grave with red roses. The last time she’ll ever grow flowers. After, she returns to her room, miserable. She eventually cries herself to sleep.
In the morning, she is unusually numb and quiet. Now aware of her new powers, Isabela has no intention of destroying the miracle. Not yet, anyways. She just wants people to hurt like she had to for all these years, like Dolores did last night. She goes to tell Mariano of the new plan.
Camilo and Félix are the ones to realise Dolores is missing at breakfast, after Camilo attempted to shapeshift into her for seconds. Alma assumes that Dolores is tending to her errands early and assures the family not to worry - it’s not unusual for the Madrigals to be ahead of schedule (just look at Luisa).
As the family are heading out for the morning, Mirabel spots dried blood staining the tiles and freaks out. Everyone else dismisses it for dirt or food or something other than blood and Mirabel is embarrassed for “overreacting”, until Julieta inspects it and confirms it is. Though, again, it is just dismissed to be Antonio’s animals.

What's Isa's plan of actions now? Abuela's trust can only go for so much longer.
Warning for sensitive topics below.
Once Mariano had gone home and everyone was in bed, Isabela goes to destroy the candle again. Climbing up onto the roof and getting it that way - so she doesn’t have to risk going into Alma’s room.
Only… she is overheard and caught by Dolores.
Dolores threatens to scream and alert everyone, and quickly proves she was serious about it. Trying to get her cousin to shut up before she wakes anyone, Isabela ties Dolores up in vines. Unexpectedly, they aren’t her usual vines. They are a lot stronger, covered in thorns and lacking the usual flowers. One wayward vine bursts through her back and comes out of her chest.
Isabela and Dolores are both in shock for multiple reasons, as you can imagine.

To Withered cold Family: How do you feel now after Isabela tried to smash the candle?
Not gonna lie, the look on Alma’s face was worth it.
¡Ay dios mio! I can’t believe she would ever do that! Isabela has always been so well-behaved and as delicate as a rose—
I think I’m having one of those non-sleeping nightmares again… I should probably sleep more.
¿Cómo es que Isabela puede actuar como una mocosa egoísta y con derechos, rompiendo cualquier objeto valioso que quiera, pero de alguna manera soy yo el que está en problemas?

When will Withered Isabela discover all her powers?
Not for a while yet, so I can’t spoil it. But as I don’t want to leave you with nothing, I’ll continue where I left off.
That evening, Isabela does go for the candle.
Fairly easy given the fact that she is probably one of two people Alma would trust it with, so nobody really batted an eye when she suddenly appeared with it in her grasp in the courtyard.
Well… all but Dolores, who may have overheard something earlier. Isabela had threatened her to keep quiet through dinner, but as we all know, that only lasts so long with Dolores. She burst open with the information and was met with confusion, shock and disbelief.
Isabela claims, “I have to do this.” And throws the candle hard to the floor.
The impact from the magic throws them all (including Luisa, to everyone’s surprise) back, crashing into the nearest wall. The candle itself breaks into pieces as soon as it hits the floor, halves going everywhere; the flame flickering. Casita and the rest of Encanto begins to shake, some cracks appearing in the structure of Casita.
The family, though still confused, begin to panic - the adults begin shouting about leaving, meanwhile Luisa tries to support the building as best she can. Mariano helps Isabela to sit up and from their place on the floor, they both watch the top half of the candle with the wick roll. It eventually stops, having hit Antonio’s foot.
He nervously and unsurely picks it up, though both Dolores and Julieta (who are the closest to him) tell him not to do it. With shaky hands, he dusts it off and stumbles over to hand it to his Abuela. Against all expectations, the flame stops flickering, still burning brightly. The cracks recede back into the walls, the building and the mountains stop trembling.
The family are all relieved, getting up and making sure everything/everyone is okay. Alma thanks and praises Antonio. Mariano is sat in confusion over what just happened and Isabela is frozen in shock that it didn’t work.
She screams, pulling herself to her feet and lunges for the boy, but Mariano quickly pulls her back before she can do anything. (He does not agree to actually hurting or killing anyone, let alone an innocent little boy of five). Nobody seems to notice that she went for Antonio and Alma, blinded by favouritism, believes Isabela only tried to destroy the candle to protect them.
And, as usual in the family Madrigal, the blame falls to Mirabel’s feet; right where the bottom of the candle is. (Just to clarify, she did not touch or pick it up - who knows what would happen if the giftless one touched the special candle?)

Withered AU.
So... When does Isabela decide to go ape shit?
The day after breaking Mariano’s hand, she heads out to see him. As expected and requested by Abuela.
They don’t really discuss wedding details (like they are meant to be), once they are alone together. Isabela rants about everything and Mariano agrees with her, but doesn’t see what they can do change their fates.
Isabela comes out with the sudden idea to destroy the candle/the miracle. She doesn’t care about the impact and at this stage nobody knows it will damage Casita or the Encanto (and by extension, harm actual people), so Mariano willingly offers his support.
