Gonna be level, here; being in this fandom at all most days is very, very difficult. I've been doing the thing everyone says you're supposed to, blocking anyone and everyone that gives me the ick and hanging out with only those whom I feel the least uncomfortable around (or trying to, anyways). The problem is that the English-speaking side of the fandom is so small that any and all discrepancies and gaps are immediately hugely apparent. I may not be able to see certain artists or authors anymore, but I can still feel them around me, because I can see the gaps that are left.

This fandom is small enough that this is a real problem for me. I wish it wasn't the case, and that it could go back to being simple, lighthearted fun for me; but unless there's a massive influx of people who are just slightly less terminally online than I am, and crucially, a lot of these other people seem to be, then I think I'm just going to have to put up with being slightly unhappy with my fixation for a while.

The way my brain works prevents me from being able to just drop it without consequence. Without this, I would not have enough to sustain my thoughts and fixations for a very long while. I feel essentially trapped in here within a fandom half-comprised of people I cannot stand to be around. Perhaps my standards are too high; but I feel like I have to strictly enforce the few standards that I do have, else I risk not having any at all. Everyone needs some standards; how else am I meant to enforce some self-discipline?

I don't know. I guess I miss the crowd I initially went into was still as interested in the thing as I am. Though I seriously don't have the energy to put out anything worthy of note, and I realize that myself not being prolific is a large part of the problem. They say if you want something done, to do it yourself, but I just can't. Some of my interest has faded, especially since some aspects of it- namely the mere act of rewatching it- have turned into a chore (though if I chilled a little with the screenshots, I likely would not have this problem; but also, if I do it once, then I never have to do it again, mostly, unless we finally get good-quality rips of the latter two seasons and not the slop that Crunchyroll got).

And the end result is Espeon! Unfortunately, I think that that's another double. That's something that's going to have to be addressed later; I might use another veto for this one but I'm not sure. Once I find a ninth candidate to potentially fill the last slot, then I can start paring things down a bit, and getting things in order.

I might need help selecting the last candidate, though, because I didn't exactly have anyone in mind. Maybe Lupin?? I don't actually have a reference for him, tho... but I do have a few images, so maybe I could use one of those...?

Once this wraps up, I'm gonna have to come up with a ninth entry, and then sort through them all to better weed out any doubles, and make sure appropriate forms are assigned to the best suited characters- which might mean more polls in a similar vein in the future.

And the end result is Umbreon! I think there was at least one other Umbreon, but since I'm the one running these polls, I'm vetoing that one. This was what I'd always had in mind for him, anyways- specifically, a shiny Umbreon (blue markings with yellow eyes- it's like it was made for him).

Next up is Rose! I still need a ninth, though, and then I need to sort out the doubles to find out who gets to be what.

And the end result is Sylveon! I'm not all that surprised, to be honest; she does sort of give off that vibe, doesn't she?

I'm not sure who I should put up for a vote next, though, so bear with me for a bit, okay? It's between Shadow Joker and Silver Heart. Who do y'all think should go first? (Keep in mind that no matter the order he's in, Rose will always immediately follow Shadow; thus, it's a matter of getting Silver Heart right now, versus two polls later.)

Actually, an amenable solution might be to hold smaller, secondary votes, in the case of too many doubles popping up. I have to think about how I might want to handle those, though; I might need at least two different styles...

Well, this is a problem! She got voted an Espeon, which is understandable, but also very much an issue. I'm not sure that she can be the second most voted option, either, because if a certain future poll goes like I feel like it should, then that one would definitely take precedence. I guess I'm just going to have to put a pin in this one for now...

And we're done! Surprisingly, Vaporeon came out on top! Full disclosure, I was expecting Glaceon. That would've been the logical choice for me, but since I don't get to choose in these, it is what it is. These will be decided by the community, and whoever else decides to vote. Next up will be Dark Eye/Ai!

And the end result is Eevee! I can't really say that I'm surprised. This one got fewer votes than the last, I think, though...

Up next will probably be Spade, then Ai! I don't know if I'll do Roko, tho, because he'd be ridiculously difficult to place. Also, he's already a dog (with super powers, no less), so changing him into a slightly different caniform (with super powers) wouldn't really change much. Actually, since Pokemon cannot talk and are, for some species, implied to not be fully sapient, it might actually be a bit of a nerf for him...

Alrighty, next up: Hachi!

Keep in mind that I don't really want too many duplicate results; if whatever a character gets matches something another character already had, then I may go with the next most popular choice.

Personally, with regards to Hachi in particular, I already have at least two options that'd work for me. But I wanna know what everybody else thinks first, so I won't skew the results by saying what those options are! (You can't vote for more than one option at this time, anyway...)
