there was this video i stumbled on that was like “what your overwatch main says about you” but i closed the tab after they put hanzo in the same category as junkrat and bastion so here are some Real Hero Categories

dink dink motherfucker (hanzo, mccree, widowmaker): very difficult to play heroes that are all the more satisfying when your shots actually connect, but you admit that some of it is just pure dumb luck. may just be playing them because you like the characters and dont care that you suck

teamwork makes the dream work (reinhardt, ana, zarya, lucio): heroes that rely heavily on your team working with you that are almost impossible to play in quickplay most of the time. these characters are powerful and have big personalities that you love which makes the current meta all the more painful to you.

gets the job done (mercy, soldier: 76, orisa, junkrat): you either really really love playing these characters or find them incredibly boring. regardless theyre extremely useful and are always nice to have on the team.

you shall not pass (bastion, symmetra, torbjorn, junkrat): you take great pleasure in watching the enemy team be completely unable to avoid taking damage from you, whether its taking control of an entire chokepoint or finding clever ways to outplay your opponents.

here i go feeding again (winston, roadhog, dva): positioning is everything if you want to get the job done without immediately dissolving when your cooldowns are up. can either peel for your backline or be the one getting picks. if youre winning you probably have gold elims. you like being big and ruining squishies fun and your ultimates are just a fancy way of saying “get the fuck off my point or so help me”

niche picks (pharah, sombra, symmetra, mei): these are heroes that are supposed to be considered situational but you still feel like you could play them every game and have fun. if youre a woman youre probably gay.

the d in dive stands for disorienting (genji, tracer, doomfist): you like being mobile and doing damage up close. harassing supports is the name of the game, but so is trying not to die every two seconds. high skill cap heroes that can get really confusing with all their movement abilities, but goddamn if youre not having fun.

boop (lucio, pharah, roadhog, dva, winston, orisa, reinhardt): getting a card for environmental kills is your greatest accomplishment. you have at least one potg with you sending people into a pit of despair thats very dear to your heart.

im a healer, but… (moira, zenyatta, lucio): you will hard carry this team if you absolutely have to, but make sure youre not leaving your team behind when they need you, whether thats flanking the backline as moira, forgetting to put your heal orb up while picking a fight, or speeding around searching for the Greatest Boop when someone needs your healing aura.

from the shadows (reaper, doomfist, tracer, roadhog): perpetually surprised that the entire team just walked past you again. youre that guy that mercy spams “group up” at but dont worry, you totally know what youre doing. youre taking down the supports and will probably die in the process, but goddamn if youre not going to march your sneaky ass right back to their spawn when you get back anyway.
