Does anyone else ever think about the fact that both Ruby and Yang's trailer songs are about the team as a whole rather than themselves? It says a lot about the Xiao Long-Rose Sisters.

Yang fluctuates a lot between keeping Ruby close and pushing her away during initiation. She hypes her up, implores her to talk to people, and then ditches her. She then invites her to sit next to her during the assembly and sleeps right next to her that night, pushing back against Weiss's anger towards her sister. Only to imply that she thinks Ruby should be on a separate team from her. Only to call out for her during the actual initiation. She's only excited to learn they're on the same team and that her little sister is her leader.

She's so inconsistent. What gives?

Without context, I can see why many people can initially be unsure of why Yang is doing this and even feel offended on Ruby's behalf. But then we come to learn that Yang raised her. That they have always been close, and Ruby has relied on Yang for a lot during their lives.

Once we know them, it becomes really clear that Yang had no real desire to leave Ruby behind. Every attempt to put distance between them was for Ruby's benefit, not hers. Ruby was socially anxious and introverted. She had a history of using Yang as a crutch, and Yang knew it. So she tried to force her to step out of her shell, to blossom. But then her big sister instincts kicked back in, and she couldn't resist being right there again.

She was trying so hard to do what was right for her baby sister, but she didn't know how to, and she also didn't want Ruby to feel actually abandoned for even a single instant.

When Eleanor said "find Chidi" in a desperate attempt to help a future version of herself, because she had no idea what would happen in the future, because she was terrified of her fate, because she was too panicked to have any thoughts other than that of the man who she knew for certain would save her in any universe. And when Chidi said "there is no answer, but Eleanor is the answer" as a moment of clarity, looking back at everything he knew as the best version of himself, because he had every thought conceivable, but the most important of them, the one at the forefront, was that of the woman who he knew for certain had saved him in every universe.

Gotta give the Brother Gods *some* credit. They did pick the two most individuals who actually Never Wanted Immortality, instead of someone who'd cling to it

Actually I'm still on this. Daisy Johnson is such a deeply, deeply repressed character. She gets formally diagnosed with "uses jokes to cover up her real feelings that she never ever opens up about" in s2. I'm fully convinced she would make some offhand remark about the nuns to the other characters (who, iirc, were never told that part, aside from Ward), and they would all just assume she's joking. S3 comes along and you're like "Oh has she finally learned to not repress stuff?" but no it's just that tweet that's like "Closure isn't real just cut your hair and pretend it didn't happen." She represses so hard she quite literally shatters her own bones. And then she just keeps doing it.

All this is to say that she would NAWT be open about her sexuality. I know that the common fandom consensus seems to be that (if you headcanon her as queer, at least) she's already aware of it when canon starts, and is pretty open about it. People. Be for real. She hates people knowing stuff about her, especially in the earlier seasons. Her mindset would 100% be that it's nobody's business. Least of all her own.

I've been thinking about doing some sort of fandom themed trivia nights for a while. I dunno exactly which software I would use (maybe something like Kahoot + a Discord server) or which days it would happen yet.
