Unpopular opinion thing - Ladybug doesn't deserve to be harped on for choosing Ryuko in the S3 finale despite her own feelings because Chloe would've flipped out anyways if she chose a different hero to help her like Carapace or Rena Rouge (and Chloe doesn't know that Hawk Moth knows Ryuko's identity so she can't get mad at the identity rule that Ladybug broke), and Ryuko was doing a decent job at helping them anyways

And those who harpe on Ladybug missed the point that it was supposed to be a mistake. It wasn’t written off to be Ladybug just once again refusing to pick Chloe. Marinette after spending the day with Kagami and Adrien was still having a hard time letting Adrien go. Even though she was the one allow them alone time she had a last-minute peg of regret and acted irrationally by taking Kagami so she can give her the dragon miraculous. 

This resulted in Chloe becoming hurt which Hawkmoth used for his advantage to manipulate Chloe into helping him. Hawkmoth was planning on Ladybug for passing the chance to use Chloe to help save her own parents knowing this would have Chloe break all trust with Ladybug. 

Of course, Ladybug wasn’t intentionally trying to wrong Chloe, in fact I know if she was in a more peaceful state of mind she would’ve utilized Chloe over Ryuko. However, Ladybug is a human being with emotions and she acted out a tad selfishly which just gives her a chance to reflect on how she can improve as a hero and develop as a person. It was an intentional mistake that would make her an even better hero by the end of the series.

Unpopular-ish opinion: Marichat is a great ship. I know that it's the opposite of their crushes or whatever you'd call it, but I think that Mari and Adrien are truly themselves when interacting as Mari and Chat. Adrien isn't worried about being perfect for his father, and Mari isn't nervous just for being around him. Plus I think if this ship went a little further, it'd make for an even better identity reveal.

I love Marichat so so much, words can’t describe. And yes, even though I firmly believe the “true selves” trope is garbage, Marinette and Chat’s interactions with each other seem to put the least amount of stress on the two in terms of having to keep up an impression. Don’t get me wrong, they still have their own conflicts with the secret identities but like you said, Marinette doesn’t have to worry about impressing her crush or focus on protecting Paris and Chat can relax from all the stress at home. There is also the fact that there is no bias between the two. Marinette doesn’t have her bias of Adrien and Chat doesn’t have his bias of Ladybug, They are just two friends having a lovely time together. (It’s basically idiots to lovers and that is my favourite🤣)

unpopular?? opinion sks: master fu was a shit teacher to both of them, just in different ways, and while i'm not happy he ditched marinette and left her with even more responsibilities, i am glad he's gone because i feel like his rules about the identities was the key thing stopping ladynoir from leaning on each other as emotional support more often (because they couldn't open up about even small personal things without the fear of losing their miraculous and each other looming over them.)

tl;dr: he’s given a hard time for things i consider out of his control both character-and story-wise. i see why people think his goof ups outnumber his successes but i simply do not share the sentiment. (also i’m not interested in debating this. you can reply and disagree as you’d like, but no guarantees i’ll bite. i said this at the end but i’ll say it here too for anyone who didn’t read through everything.)

i’m gonna preface this with saying you are super rad so i don’t mean this as an attack to you (or anyone else who feels this way because i know for a fact i have other mutuals in the same boat). everybody’s got different perspectives, and whether i necessarily agree or not i can totally respect ‘em. that being said, i’m gonna go to town here on why i personally super-duper hate this take on Fu:
