Bear with me i know this is like a 5% possibility but imagine if this is the same scene like theyre in the same room!! Lets imagine he snuck over to her place for some “lessons” unexpectedly like maybe she needed some other advice and it couldn’t wait so he comes to her room late at night and they’re talking with only Pen’s candle to light the room. Shes asking his advice and listening attentively to what he has to say. Maybe shes asking how you know when you’re attracted to someone or how to know if someone is interested in you physically. He starts talking about basic signs like a shy smile or eye contact and the more he looks at her and how beautiful and vulnerable she looks in this moment. Her hair undone, no fancy dresses, just penelope in her most innocent state and he can’t help but start to describe his own signs of attraction. His heart racing, sweaty palms, only staring at the other persons lips. And Penelope Is just looking back at him so focused taking all of his words in thinking back to her interactions with Debling unaware of what’s going on with Colin. Meanwhile Colin is just watching her soak in words looking more and more beautiful as she thinks and he turns on another candle to watch her more intently. They’re both just sitting there in a silly little room in silence watching each other trying to make sense of Colins words and new atmosphere they’ve found themselves in. Its odd and it’s intimate but they’re both oddly comfortable in it. Neither one making a move because they don’t want to ruin the moment until they hear a sound coming from the hallway and suddenly remember the roles they are assigned and the scandal it would cause if anyone found them like this so Colin leaves. Both of them unable to forget the warmth of the candle and the eyes that started back at them.

Again highly doubt this would play out in such a way but i couldn’t help but think how beautiful this moment would be if it actually happened 🥹🥹🥹

HOLD ON WAIT WHAT IF THIS IS WHEN THEYRE ARGUING ABOUT HER BEING WHISTLEDOWN ANF THATS WHY HE LOOKS SO DEVASTATED AND CONFUSED

Like we know in the books the carriage ride happens right after theyre argument about her being whistledown so what if thats what this moment is. The heartbreak and devastation on his face HAS to come from whistledown. Im all for her yelling “IVE ALWAYS LOVED YOU” but that face also has to have something to do with finding out shes whistledown. I cant wait until the 16th😭😭😭😭

OKAY OKAY WAIT I HAVE A THEORY I HAVENT SEEN YET

WHAT IF they’re at the ball and its Penelope’s first time with this brand new look and shes actually getting attention from suitors and the night is going pretty well. Colin is watching from afar confused because there’s something uneasy about the situation but he can’t figure out what so he’s just watching on the sidelines. NOW Penelope is feeling good and great and shes thriving but suddenly someone starts to get a little jealous of her. Penelope goes to get some lemonade or steps out for a moment for some air because this is all new to her. Cressida follows her outside and tells her she looks like a fool and ridiculous everyone is just mocking her and she will always be an insipid wallflower regardless of how she tries to hide it and no one will ever love her or want her. Of course because she’s still insecure at heart Penelope believes her. Cressida walks away with a smirk on her face and leave Penelope on the balcony alone. Penelope starts crying and runs away pulling pins from her hair. She stops at a gazebo and just sits and cries when someone calls her name from behind her. Colin having been watching her the whole night saw everything that happened and without thought followed her into the garden. He asks her what Cressida said and she tells him through tears and he gets closer wanting to wipe the tears away and comfort her. The closer he gets more beautiful she looks and he cant believe she would ever believe Cressida’s words. He’s in a trance listening to her words and fighting every urge to rest his hands against her cheeks and wipe away the tears when suddenly he hears “Colin will you please kiss me” or the exact quote from the book. And then we have this moment from the picture.

So sorry if anyone has posted something like this already i haven’t seen it yet so i just wanted to share. Can’t wait for season 3!!

I LOVE Luke Newton with all my heart and part of it is his amazing acting skills. I think these two pictures perfectly represent how he views Colin and how Colin himself views his love for Penelope. Seemingly, he is making the same face at both Eloise and Penelope. A look of “you’re so silly but I love you just for how goofy you are and I’m so honored to have you in my life” for both of them, but with very different inflictions. Of course the first one to Eloise is a sibling love. He loves Eloise for all her craziness and doesn't want her to be anyone else. In the second one while it’s a very similar look, you can see the love behind his eyes. Its very subtle but the smile is a little more tender and there’s a deeper love behind his eyes. Now I don’t think Colin himself realizes this. He can’t see his own eyes in a moment like this so to him that love and tenderness he feels for Pen is the exact same as what he feels for Eloise. Of course he wouldn’t be able to differentiate his feelings when, in his mind, he's giving them the EXACT same look. But as the viewers we can see it’s totally different and there's a different kind of love there. I love Luke Newton, I love Colin, and I love Polin, and it’s moments like these that let me know season 3 is going to be amazing. He doesn’t know his love for Pen, but he also isn’t shy about expressing it!

Bridgerton + Polin + Marina

SO we all remember season 1 of Colin and Marina and how part of the reason he seemed so into her was because she took him seriously. I don’t remember the exact quote, but he mentions it at some point. Being the charmer and the 3rd male he’s never really taken seriously by anyone so when he believed Marina did he immediately became attached. Now in season 2 he goes to see her, I think secretly hoping to find the same girl who took him seriously and saw value in what he did, but that’s not what he found. He found Marina telling him to open his eyes and grow up. I think in this moment is when Colin truly realized how much Marina had deceived him. I think it was in this moment he realized that she wasn’t who he thought, because clearly before this he was still thinking of her. He thought that he was doing good and he was proud of himself and he thought Marina would be proud of him too, but she showed her true colors. I think that’s why Colin seems to berate himself in later episodes because the one person he thought would see value in what he was doing, had berated him just like everyone else. 

Except for Penelope. She always admires him and thinks best of him, but he never really pays any attention to her. So next season, having Pen be angry with him and we know she's STILL going to try and be supportive in his endeavors, he’s gonna realize that she’s the only person who has ever actually taken him seriously. 

This was just a random thought I had because I kept thinking about why he wanted to see Marina so badly, and then never really thought about her again after.

Is it just me or is this EXACTLY how Gabriel found them out in Ephemere. Adrien and Marinette were having a cute private loving intimate moment AND HERE COME GABRIEL TO RUIN IT. Not only that but even the way he peeked into the door is almost the same. Literally foreshadowing considering this episode aired before ephemere. Gabriel will always be their undoing due to his invasion of their privacy.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!!!!!!!

So after the ephemere episode the other day i was scrolling on tiktok and came across someone saying they’re sick of the “what if” episodes and the fake reveals and they arent adding to the plot. Which I totally get their feelings and they are justified but it got me thinking and i have to disagree with this person. To be honest there are really only 3 episodes where this happens: Oblivio, Chat Blanc, Ephemere. While i can understand why they feel like these episodes might be pointless since the characters forget everything, these episodes are HIGHLY important for the viewer. There are SO MANY possible ways that the reveal could happen and eventually when it does happen fans are going to complain about something. To me these episodes are the writers ways of saying “here’s why this cant happen”. So in Chat Blanc we saw what would happen if Adrien found out first and said nothing to ladybug. He kept it a secret a romance erupted and hawkmoth found out because Adrien knew that marinette could absolutely NOT be akumatized so he gave away his secret not caring who might see him. If adrien had not known he might have been more cautious on revealing his identity or been less afraid of marinette getting akumatized. In Ephemere it was kind of the opposite marinette knew but adrien didnt and she kept it a secret because she was afraid. She eventually told him and once again a romance ensued and they were discovered because they were no longer as cautious as they typically are (adrien would never call marinette or anyone m’lady outside of chat noir). So revealing their identities to each other makes them less cautious because they only worry about each other figuring out who they are and ultimately leads to hawkmoth discovering their identities. Now in Oblivio i personally dont consider it a “what if” cuz they have no memories so theyre not really “in character “ but for the sake of argument ill continue. In Oblivio they find out who the other is TOGETHER. It is a mutual reveal. No one is trying to hide it from the other and there is not some elaborate one sided reveal that could lead to danger. They share who they are together and neither of them have to think about potential consequences (adrien in chat blanc and marinette in ephemere). It works because they share the responsibility together. To me these episodes prove that the reveal HAS to be mutual if it is going to work. It can’t be dragged out and overthought like marinette in ephemere and it cant be spontaneous and out of no where like adrien in chat blanc. Its something that has to occur in the right circumstances and TOGETHER. Like everything they are a team and they have to do this together. Otherwise Hawkmoth gets the upper hand and everyone loses. This is just a personal thought and my apologies if anyone has already talked about something like this.

Hellllooooooooo random thought but lets talk about the guilt trip episode. So SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

anyways. My apologies if someone has said this before but i havent seen it and i really want to talk about it. We all know Marinette has been feeling lost and alone and has pushed everyone away for their own safety. We also know that she has never been able to tell anyone about her being ladybug but in this episode she decided to tell alya!!! Now alya has made it perfectly clear before that she would NEVER tell anyone about her secret if she were ladybug and marinette knows that alya isnt that type of person but yet she had never told her before. I think the reason that marinette decided now was the right time was because alya broke free from hawkmoths control! Alya had been akumatized many times before and hawkmoth has enough control that he could get the secret out of her if she were akumatized again. But alya proved to marinette that hawkmoth doesn’t have real control over her. Alya proved to her that her secret was safe.

What is genuinely the point? Why am i going through all this pain and angst and anxiety and for what? To spend the rest of my life working? Working towards a life that never seems to have an ending. I go to school to get a good job i get a good job to get a good home i get a good home to be at while im not at work. I dont want to spend the rest of my life working instead of living. I want to travel and have adventures a family a LIFE but i cant do that without some ridiculous job that will pay me beyond the minimum required to survive and THRIVE. How can i work and enjoy life how does one do that. Why am i wasting YEARS of my life fighting for an education i dont even know if i want that may not even benefit me. WHAT IS THE POINT?????? HOW do i do this how do i continue to move on and build a life i can be proud of, love, enjoy, thrive in? Im so tired and drained of this seemingly endless pursuit for more. When will it be enough? What is the point?

Marinette and Adrien working together to kill Gabriel and bury his body

There was no color in his face. How could there be, he was staring at his father’s lifeless body.

Adrien’s mind was blank. All he could see was his father’s cold, unwavering stare. It was not much different from when he was alive, but there was no longer any life behind it. He couldn’t believe what had happened, yet he knew this was the only way.

Marinette stood not too far behind him quiet, unmoving. She watched as Adrien stared, only stared. She knew how difficult this was for Adrien, how could it not be, but it was something they both knew had to be done.

Days before, late at night Ladybug had spotted Hawkmoth moving through the rooftops in search of something, or someone. She quietly followed him hoping he would head to his secret lair. When she saw land on the roof of the Agreste house she was confused. Then she saw him enter through a rooftop door and she was about to pounce. She could see Adrien sound asleep in his room. She was making her way across the lawn when she saw a light turn on the opposite side of the mansion. She quickly hid behind and a bush and what she saw next she couldn’t believe.

She saw Hawkmoth detransform into Gabriel Agreste!

She couldn’t tear her eyes away from him she was about to jump through his window and attack when she looked back into Adrien’s room. This was his father. The only parental figure he had left and sure he wasn’t the best, but he was all he had. She stopped and stared between the two for what seemed like hours. When she finally managed to move and run back home she couldn’t think of anything else. What could she do? How could she destroy Hawkmoth without hurting Adrien? Would Adrien even believe her if she told him? More importantly: would he hate her if she did anything to him?

She didn’t sleep much that night and only more questions popped into her head, but she knew one thing. She couldn’t decide anything without her partner in crime.

“WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT” Chat Noir’s screamed so loud Ladybug thought all of Paris could hear them.

“It’s-it’s not possible. How do you know. What proof do you have” Chat Noir spoke a million miles a minute Ladybug didn’t understand why this was so hard for him to believe. Maybe he was worried for Adrien just as she was.

“I saw it Chat. With my own eyes.”

“Well you saw wrong!” He yelled at her. She couldn’t quite believe it, he had never yelled at her before. She stood there staring at him not sure of what to say.

“I’m sorry.” He spoke softly. There were tears in his eyes.

Wow he must really care for Adrien, she thought.

Chat stood on the rooftop looking up at the sky. Ladybug stood beside him silent. Could his father really be Hawkmoth? Adrien had his own suspicions long ago, but to think it could all be true tore his heart in ways he hadn’t felt since his mother died.

“I know what we have to do.” Chat spoke so soft Ladybug thought it was the wind.

It felt like years had passed and Adrien hadn’t moved an inch. Marinette was starting to wonder if it had been Gabriel they had killed or Adrien.

When Chat brought up the plan of poisoning Gabriel, Marinette thought it was an amazing idea. Getting rid of their enemy without any violence, casualties, or suspicion she was all for it. But when he said that Adrien was the one that had to do it she protested like it was her own life on the line. She couldn’t ask that of Adrien and she didn’t want him to know that it was his father that had brought on all this evil.

Chat remained persistent, but so did Ladybug. Their argument didn’t get anywhere and she had to be home soon in time for dinner. They agreed to meet up again tomorrow at the same time to discuss their new plan.

The next day when Chat appeared he told her he had already spoken with Adrien and that Adrien was on board. Ladybug was furious. She couldn’t say a single word to him and she knew that he was aware he did the wrong thing because he refused to look at her. Without saying a single word Ladybug hurried off to the Agreste Mansion. She snuck into Adrien’s room and didn’t see him anywhere. Unsurprisingly she heard the shower turn on. Why was he always in the bathroom?

“Adrien? It’s Ladybug I was hoping I could talk to you. You know. When you’re out of the shower.” She leaned her head against the door stupid was all she could think.

“Y-yeah I’ll be right out.” Adrien replied from behind the door.

When he came out Ladybug was surprised. He didn’t look like he had just showered, but she didn’t think too much of it there were more pressing matters to attend to.

“I know what you’re going to say.” He spoke before she could get any words out.

“I spoke to Chat last night and he told me everything. I know you must not agree with his plan but it is the only way. I have access to him in ways that neither of you will ever be able to have. I can do this. More importantly, I can do this quietly and without question. But I have something to ask of you.” He spoke with such assertiveness and distance in his voice that Ladybug knew there was nothing she could do or say to change his mind.

“Anything.” Was all she could muster out. Somehow she felt this was all her fault.

“You can’t be here that night. Chat and I will take care of everything.”

Ladybug’s eyes stung with tears. How could he say that. No she would not let this happen.

“NO. Chat is my partner and you are my friend. I will NOT let either of you down by leaving your sides.” Ladybug was firm in her decision.

For the first time since they began talking Adrien’s expression changed. There was a sadness behind his eyes, pain, fear, and shame.

“Please Ladybug. This is going to be the worst thing I will ever do in my life and I can’t let you see me like that.” He paused for a moment. Neither of them spoke. “Please.” He said once more.

Ladybug just stared and stared at him. His determination, his sadness, she didn’t know if Adrien could go through with this, but she knew Chat would never let him, or her, down. She did all she could do right now and trusted both of them.

“Okay.” She said quietly and just as the words escaped her mouth her earrings started to beep and she knew she was going to transform soon. Neither of them said a word as she leapt out his window and left.

Both of them knew that this would be the last time they saw each other before the events would transpire.

When the night came Adrien finally convinced his father to have dinner with him. He had Nathalie and Gorilla take the night off with the excuse that he wanted to spend a night just them two. Adrien prepared the meal and even got his father’s favorite wine. He watched as the powder disappeared into the dark red drink and stared at it. Amazed that it looked like any other drink just how tonight looked like any other night. But just as the wine knew it was no ordinary wine, Adrien knew this was no ordinary night.

Minutes had passed since his father’s body had stopped moving. He sat in the same chair where he had just been alive. His eyes open, mouth closed, body lifeless. He looked almost peaceful. When Adrien heard footsteps his heart sank to his feet. The only person this could possibly be is Ladybug and she promised she wouldn’t be here for this. When he saw Marinette walk in he felt a sensation of fear, sadness, relief, and overall confusion. He wanted to ask her a million and one questions, but all he could do was stare at his father.

Marinette had intended to follow through with her promise and stay home, but she couldn’t. She couldn’t do that to Adrien. Besides this was all her fault if she hadn’t followed Hawkmoth that night or told Chat what she knew Adrien wouldn’t be in this position. But what else could she do? This is was her duty as Ladybug, but her duty as Marinette was to be there for Adrien.

She snuck in as Ladybug through his window and detransformed before she went out to look for him. She wasn’t sure had happened yet so she walked quietly in case Gabriel, Nathalie, or Gorilla were around. All the lights were off except for one. She quietly followed the dinning room light and when she looked through the door her heart shattered. Adrien looked directly at her and then looked back at his father. He didn’t say a word so neither did Marinette. She stood behind him in silence watching him, comforting him from afar. She waited for Chat to appear, but he never came.

“What are you doing here?” He finally spoke.

“I’m sorry.” Marinette quietly responded. He was still staring at his father.

“Ladybug told me you might need a friend tonight.”

He didn’t reply. The silence continued.

She slowly walked towards him and lay a hand lightly on his shoulder.

They stayed like that for a few minutes.

“Chat isn’t coming. I asked him not to. I can take care of this alone.” He still wasn’t looking at her.

“You don’t have to” was all Marinette could say. He finally looked at her expressionless.

Without speaking they picked up Gabriel to the best of their efforts. He was heavy, but they somehow managed. They carried him to the backyard with only the light of the moon illuminating their path. Spring was just starting so it was still a little chilly out especially this late at night.

The backyard was big, there were statues and trees and a huge garden. Adrien decided the best place to bury his father was in the tomato field. Nathalie had the gardener prepare the soil earlier this week to begin planting the tomatoes so the dark patch of new soil wouldn’t look suspicious to anyone walking through the garden. They dug for hours in complete silence. Neither knew what to say, but they both knew Adrien was grateful he wasn’t alone.

When the job was done the soil didn’t look a hair out of place. It was neat and looked professionally done. They stood there staring at the grave. No one had spoken in hours and it didn’t seem like that was going to change soon. Marinette stood beside Adrien and he gently intertwined his hand with hers. A thank you she knew, so she squeezed it tightly reassuring him he wasn’t alone.

They walked the streets of Paris in the dark, quiet, emptiness. Feeling only the warmth of each other’s hands.

They quietly entered Marinette’s home and she set up the couch for him to sleep in. She was about to go upstairs when he reached for her arm. They stared at each other and she hugged him.

She felt his tension and she could feel his warm tear drops running through her back. She felt his body shake as he quietly wept. She held him for hours until he finally fell asleep and when he did she remained on the floor next to where he slept in case he needed her again.
