LOL @ the Pleb hypocrisy:
“ what you dont have the right to do is spread lies, misinformation, slander, or harass, belittle, or engage in actual harmful behavior toward another individual simply because you disagree with them or dont like what they do”
ahem... you made artwork of Zoe Quinn having sex with “five guys,” which was ex-BF slander, just because you disagreed with her politics. Back then 4chan wanted to make her commit suicide, if you’ll remember.
Plebcomics being a scumbag with no self-awareness? It’s more likely than you think.
According to SU crew members “harassing” people who draw artwork that offends you isn’t within the spirit of the show…. But defending artists who draw child porn and whitewash characters…. Totally in the spirit. Sure.

The main problem I have with that NYT Amazon article is that it’s basically describing every retail/restaurant management job ever. The hours, the impossible performance metrics, the abuse, the punishment for illness or injury, the encouragement to sell out your fellow workers, all there. And there’s only outrage because white collar workers with “safe” office jobs are being held to the same standard as those of us who work in low-paying, customer-facing industries.
Where’s the scandal about restaurant management working 80-hour weeks and being on call when they aren’t there? Where’s everyone all up in arms when a retail worker loses their job because an illness leaves them unable to stand and perform for ten hours at a time? Short answer: unless it affects the comfortably middle-class caste of white collar workers, no one gives a shit. Because customer-facing workers are still seen as less than, and the only shocking thing is that there are companies out there holding their “higher class” employees to “lower class” standards.

“White supremacists are humans too! Let me add their mascot Casper the Fightin’ Aryan to my picture!”
Brilliant. You dun Bork’d your picture up with Vivian “daughter-waifu” James. I’m sad, because I liked your comic making fun of strawmen (I believe that was yours).
GamerGate has no problem dehumanizing anyone who disagrees with their  cult, they’re infamously transphobic and make no apologies for it because they think transphobia isn’t real. They’re no better than TERFs or MRAssholes.
Hey I just wanted to say that I genuinely did like your Body Positivity Post; but I also have a question about it. Why is the 4chan gamer gate mascot girl included in the line-up of "left out" girls? Isn't she a made-up girl by a bunch of gamer gate guys who use her as a mouth piece to talk over actual girls in the gaming community? I can't imagine why she would be thrown into an otherwise insightful piece of art.
She’s there to challenge our habit of dehumanizing people we don’t like, agree with, or are considered in an “out group.” It’s a deeply held belief of mine when we start seeing anyone, even our enemies, as subhuman we risk hurting people we didn’t intend; like kind and insightful folks who may not see the same side of that out-group as others do. Also, I often see people who rail against body shaming turn around and use its insidious tactics on those they don’t like, and to me that undermines body positivity as a whole.
And to my understanding, Vivian means a lot of things to a lot of people, good and bad, and that’s what I wanted this piece to do. Just about every possible interpretation of it is correct ‘cuz it’s deliberately meant to reflect what you bring into it. I know that’s sounds a little pretentious, but it seems the most succinct way to put the whirling mess of ideas bouncing around my head into words. XD Thanks for the interest and the thoughtful note.
EDIT-Also, her being bad with make-up was for the other 99.9% of the population who doesn’t know or care about what we do in our corner of the internet.

People Really Don’t Know That Women Actually Invented Things
If this video is anything to go by, New Yorkers need a serious refresher course on women in history. In the video created by MAKERS, a host asks people on the street who made a certain historical discovery, letting them choose between the woman who actually did it and a fictional man.
Watch the full video to see how the one person that got the question right learned it from Tumblr.

Wow, Fox. You must be really terrified of what would happen if every American had equal access to the voting booth.

psssst the reason feminists don’t advocate for the drafting of women in the armed forces is because conscription in and of itself violates core feminist values such as bodily autonomy. the feminist position on who should or should not be drafted is not “everyone should be drafted equally”, it is “nobody should be drafted at all”.
and if your feminism is thorough, you’re opposed to the imperialist and militaristic mindsets that create a conscription service to begin with but, you know, whatever
