I’ve been waiting to get my hands on the third volume of She Loves To Cook And She Loves To Eat (TsukuTabe) just so I could read this conversation between Yako and Nomoto. I’ve noticed several recent yuri manga have been discussing asexuality lately, and I’m glad to see more.

I admire author Sakaomi Yuzaki, not only for putting these topics in TsukuTabe, but for also using their audience to try and bring about some positive change for actual members of minority groups in Japan.

Rin x Falin has so much potential

Both were from the Northern Continent, and—due to their magical abilities—faced difficulties as children, but to significantly different degrees. Rin and her family, who were immigrants, were victims of vigilante justice for their alleged use of “black magic,” resulting in the death of Rin's parents and Rin being taken by the Canaries to keep as evidence. Falin, meanwhile, was ostracized by her fellow villagers after exorcising a ghost, but she had the privilege of being the chief’s daughter and could be sent away to the safety of a magic school, where at worst her classmates gossiped about her

In a new environment, both found comfort in their first friend; for Rin, it was Kabru, and for Falin, it was Marcille

However, both would not see eye-to-eye in those relationships. Rin had her crush, while Kabru saw her as a sister. Despite Falin becoming an adult, Marcille still saw her as a little girl

Neither Rin nor Falin had a strong personal desire to explore the Island's dungeon, yet the person they cared and worried about most (Kabru for Rin, Laios for Falin) did, so they accompanied to give help and support

You have Rin, who had unrequited feelings for Kabru, and Falin, who did not requite Toshiro's feelings. Rin, who had a disdain for magic academy students, and Falin, who had the opportunity to attend a magic school and then... didn’t graduate lmao. Rin, who looks stern even when she is happy, and Falin, who seems to put on a smile regardless of circumstance

And then there's the chimera fight where they tried to kill each other. Oh the drama~
