Hot Take (or maybe it isnt idk):

L is a great character. He is well written and a great antagonist, since he is against Light the main character. But there are some things that I feel like L could have gone better.

Maybe I am biased because Matsuda and Aizawa are my favorites but..

I really disagree with how L went about with his treatment towards Matsuda as well as his test towards Aizawa.

I read somewhere that the reason why L was pushing Aizawa the way that he did and kept that information that Watari said was to push him to leave so he would be there for his family. I get that, but why couldnt he have just said that in the first place??

L has an odd way of doing things and saying things but still. I am happy that Aizawa came back to block Higuichi with the police blockage but it truly didnt have to go the way that it did.

And L was the only one to call Matsuda an idiot the whole time, minus Light at the very end of course. Matsuda is YOUNG. Mans is a young buck and does not have experience. He is going to act the way that he does. Like did the entire task force forget that? Matsuda stayed because he wanted to be useful and help out in the case. If they truly didnt want to deal with him then they should have not let him stay but he did, because through it all he wanted to help and he cared. Matsuda would not have to do what he did in his episode if the others didnt treat him as bad as they did.

Again this is just my opinion and I can see why everyone loves L because he is a good character. Just dont understand his treatment towards others at times is all.
