NAME: Timothy John King

BORN: 07/09/65 Birmingham, Michigan 🇺🇸

DIED: 03/22/77 (Age 11) Oakland County, Michigan 🇺🇸

FATE: Timmy left his home in Birmingham and went to a drugstore on the evening of March 16, 1977. After he failed to return home, an intensive search covering the entire Detroit metropolitan area was conducted, before his body was found on the evening of March 22 by two teenagers in shallow ditch alongside Gill Road in Livonia. He had been sexually assaulted with a foreign object and suffocated approximately six hours earlier. Timmy is the 4th suspected victim of the “Oakland County Child Killer” in Michigan. The case remains an open investigation.

NAME: Stephen Dean Holmes

BORN: 03/22/64 🇮🇪  

DIED: 12/29/78 (Age 14) 195 Melrose Ave. London 

FATE: Stephen met (soon to be) serial killer Dennis Andrew Nilsen at the Cricklewood Arms pub, where the youth was attempting to purchase alcohol. Unfortunately, he accepted an invitation back to Nilsen’s home. After drinking the night away they crawled into bed to sleep together. Nilsen awoke before Stephen the next morning and, while caressing the sleeping youth’s body, he realized the boy would soon want to leave — something Nilsen realized he didn’t ever want to happen. During his confession decades later he stated he had wanted Holmes to "stay with me over the New Year whether he wanted to or not". Nilsen decided to wrap his neck tie around Stephen’s neck and pull as tight as he could, immediately awakening the 14 year old. They struggled together so much that they rolled off the bed, where a titanic struggle for life and death occurred. Nilsen was the eventual victor, with Holmes going limp as he slipped into unconsciousness.  At this point Mr. Nilsen dashed to the kitchen and filled a plastic bucket with water. He then laid Stephen’s body on some chairs, draping his head off one end and then pushed his head into the bucket. Stephen never came to enough to struggle again and, after several minutes of bubbles making their way to the water’s surface, Stephen Dean Holmes was finally dead, becoming the now infamous serial killer’s first ever victim.  After masturbating over the boy’s corpse twice, he stored the body under his floorboards for 7 and ½ months. On August 11th, 1979 he constructed a bonfire in his garden and, along with some bits of rubber to mask the smell, burned the bound body, after which he raked the ashes into his the ground. Nilsen was arrested and imprisoned in 1983, after drain blockages in his apartment building (he had since moved to 23 Cranley Gardens) were found to be caused by human flesh and bones. He confessed to murdering up to 16 men and attempting to murder approximately 7 others, all in just over 4 years time. He is currently serving a life sentence. Although he had confessed to Stephen’s murder when he was initially apprehended in 1983, he did not know the youth’s name. Stephen’s identity, and terrible fate, were not confirmed until 2006.  RIP STEPHEN 🕯

That’s Danny Joe Eberle. He was killed in Nebraska in 1983 when he was 13 by 19 year old serial killer John Joubert, as he was starting his Sunday morning paper route. He was such a happy-go-lucky kid.

NAME: Keith Daven Crotwell

BORN: 1956 🇺🇸

DIED: 03/29/75 (Age 19) Somewhere between Long Beach and San Diego, California 🇺🇸

FATE: Keith was murdered after accepting beer, Valium, and a joyride from prolific serial killer Randy Steven Kraft. Kraft had picked up Keith, along with 15 year old Kent May, at a parking lot in the “Belmont Shore” area of Long Beach, between Big John’s pool hall and the gay bar Ripples. After the initial drive, Kraft returned to the parking lot and, upon being observed and approached by a group of youths, ejected May out of the vehicle before taking off with a drugged up Crotwell --- who was never seen again. The young men included Frank and Terry Ditmar, brothers whose family had “adopted” Crotwell, and were also aquaintances with May. They helped get the nearly catatonic Kent home, who awoke the next morning with a pounding headache and little recollection of the past 12 hours. No clues about Keith’s whereabouts were uncovered until, on May 8th, his skull was discovered wedged between rocks by three teenages while they were exploring the 72nd Place jetty in Long Beach Marina. It was badly decomposed, although still had “rotting strips of creamy white flesh still attached to the brows and cheeks and temples.” This was all that was ever found of Keith Crotwell. After dental records confirmed the identity, the Ditmar brothers, who had gotten a good look at both the driver and the 1974 black and white Ford Mustang, began scouring the area for the car. Five days later they had located it, less than a mile from the parking lot where Keith had been taken from. They brought the information to police, who ran the plates and identified the owner as Randy Steven Kraft.  Kraft was brought in and questioned about Keith’s death. Although he had mildly plausibale explanations, the two investigators on the case believed him guilty of murder, and tried to bring charges forward. The Los Angeles District Attorney refused however, citing a lack of evidence, and Kraft was free to continue his bloody rampage for 8 more years --- killing dozens more in California, Oregon, and Michigan.   RIP KEITH 🕯

NAME: Jeremy Bright

BORN: 05/25/72 Myrtle Point, OR 🇺🇸

MISSING SINCE: 08/14/86 (Age 14) Coos County, OR 🇺🇸

FATE: Unknown. Jeremy went missing after attending the Coos County fair with his younger sister S’te. They seperated at 2 p.m. after planning to meet up near the ferris wheel at 5 o’clock. Jeremy was never seen again. Although several local rumors persist, including both an accidental overdose and an accidental shooting, there has never been any solid evidence in his disappearance. His family held a memorial service in 2011, and he is presumed dead.

NAME: Jimmy Bernardo

BORN: 1978 🇺🇸

DIED: 10/23/90 (Age 12) 🇺🇸

FATE: Jimmy was abducted from the Cinema Center movie theater in Pittsfield, MA on October 22nd, 1990 by serial killer Lewis S. Lent Jr. He was then bound, raped and hung to death. His nude body was found a month later in Newfield, NY. Lent was arrested in 1994 and is currently serving a life sentence for Jimmy’s murder.

NAME: Mark Himebaugh

BORN: 05/23/80 Del Haven, NJ 🇺🇸

MISSING SINCE: 11/25/91 (Age 11) Del Haven, NJ 🇺🇸

FATE: Unknown. The only thing that was ever found of Mark was his left sneaker, located just 75 yards from his house. He was possibly abducted, raped, and murdered by convicted child molester Thomas Butcavage, who is currently incarcerated.

DIED: 01/31/71 (Age 15) Houston, Texas 🇺🇸

FATE: Donald was kidnapped, along with his little brother Jerry, on January 30th, 1971 by serial killer Dean Arnold Corll and his accomplice David Owen Brooks. Both boys were subsequently raped, tortured, and strangled to death before being buried together in Corll’s boat shed. Their bodies were recovered in 1973 after Corll was shot and killed by his other other accomplice, Elmer Wayne Henley Jr.

Both boys were subsequently raped, tortured, and strangled to death before being buried together in Corll’s boat shed.
