I just saw a comment on youtube that said "Having to pay in advance in order to have the opportunity to pay more money and buy something is so stupid" and someone replied "It’s better than communism 😋" and I was just like

TW: Pedophilia
Teenagers are rarely taught the reason why they can't consent to sex with adults.
And that's because teaching them that would completely unravel our coercion-based society.
It can be difficult to explain in detail the exact reason and all the specifics in a way that they will understand. But the simplest way to phrase it is that in some cases, even when someone agrees to something and even when they appear enthusiastic about it, there's too much of a power imbalance that it's no different than forcing them. Also, having power and being abusive doesn't require a conscious expectation to be obeyed.
Imagine a world in which every teenager understood that and was easily able to call out anyone who tried to convince them otherwise.
They'd know that there's no such thing as an employee consenting to working for a poverty wage, working in unsafe conditions, working long hours, or working without taking breaks. They'd know that there's no such thing as consenting to paying a bank overdraft fee. They'd know that there's no such thing as consenting to student loan debt. They'd know that there's no such thing as consenting to medical bills. They'd know that there's no such thing as consenting to generating profit for banks or landlords in order to have a place to live and being evicted or foreclosed when you lose your source of income. They'd know that there's no such thing as consenting to a police search. They'd know that there's no such thing as a child who's okay with their parents spanking them. They'd know that being dependent on someone does not mean that you can never criticize them. They'd know that if it's considered abusive to simply play along when someone obeys, then it has to be much more abusive to actively expect to be obeyed, which many adults do to them.
And people who benefit from a society based on coercion masquerading as freedom wouldn't like that.
So instead, teenagers are taught something dismissive. They're taught that what they want doesn't matter. They're taught that they're too young to know what love is. They're taught "it's the law". They're taught things that are insulting to their intelligence, which they'll naturally rebel against.

Non-writers don't understand how much of writing is just googling things like "when was the croissant invented" for worldbuilding reasons and staring off into the distance.

On my hands and knees begging adults to allow children to engage in risk play.
And by risk play I don't mean handing them a gun and playing Russian Roulette.
I mean like climbing trees, getting so sick spinning on the swing they throw up, balancing on the curb, sitting in the mud, walking on slippery surfaces, building half ass ramps to ride their bike over, standing on rocks, or anything that involves a smidgen of confidence and out of the box thinking that could result in injury.
Obviously like watch your kids and such, but when we talk about the fun of being an 80s or 90s kid, it's not just talking about CDs and Walkmans or not having iPads. It's about how kids today were robbed of critical learning and experience skills we were allowed to have.
Playgrounds disappearing, helicopter parents, and sue culture really destroyed a child's development in the United States, and I think it's about time we as adults recognize that, because the kids sure have.

As someone with an undiagnosed disability (99% sure its fibromyalgia) that I've had since I was a little kid, I've never understood why adults feel the need to enter the Pain Olympics whenever a kid says they're in pain.
I cannot tell you how many times an adult told me over the years that "you're too young to be in that kind of pain" or the classic "wait until you're my age", insinuating that I was a little bitch who could never grasp what true pain really is.
Just yesterday I was in class and a guy near me mentioned that his back hurt, which our teacher heard and said "you're too young, just wait until your 50s, then it'll really hurt", and I hear this guy very quietly say that he has scoliosis.
It's so annoying. Why do you need to win the Pain Olympics? Why do you need to prove to a child that your life is harder than theirs? This is the reason I didn't know I had chronic pain until I was 16

I just saw a comment on Sabrina's MBF IG post: "Your songs aren't radical enough for you to do this."
Ah, yes, of course! Women can only express kink and sex if they're being Radical Against The System™️ about it. 🙄 (Which I still think it's satire, but it doesn't fucking need to be!) And how is women expressing their sexuality not a radical act?
R@dfems needs to realize that when they're policing what women can sing about, what women can write about, how women can dress, what women can do with our own art and work, what we can do with our own bodies, what kind of relationships and families we can have... they are being just as controlling of and hateful towards women for existing as the Misogynistic Men they hate so much are. They are no different.
R@dfems hate women.

Has he been here before? In the hospital like this? Yes. Were you here for him? Yes. Oh, how awful. It was, actually. And then there was this time Agent Hotchner was in the hospital. And Morgan’s wife. And JJ earlier this year and…me. Yeah, I’ve actually been in hospitals more times than I am caring to admit.
SO, I went and added a scene with Emily because she was technically at the hospital. And then of course I added when they were all at her bedside. I’m not really sure why she didn’t add Emily when she was talking to Reid’s mom.
