✖ How has Tumblr RP changed since you started?

I’ve been doing tumblr rp since like. 2011? 2012? A long ass time. Mostly it’s gotten a LOT more aesthetic oriented than it used to be- which is great tbh, I love everyone’s icons and tags and whatever. Also I don’t want to say people are nicer but honestly?? This is the most at home and welcome in this rpc that I’ve felt in a LONG time and I think that’s generally because of all the good people in it now. 

❣ How salty are you feeling right now?

Not overly. I’m trying to apply for jobs and anyone who has ever applied for a job online knows what a goddamn hassle that is.

I dunno if I’ve ever completely lost my chill. Usually I try and step away from the computer before something like that happens.

The blush that appears on her cheeks is not unnoticeable, and Pauling has to pretend to be suddenly very interested in the file she’s holding, practically shoving her face into the manila folder to hide her reddening face.

It’s not very often that she’s required to go undercover, and even more rare when she’s required to dress up for it, so the compliment is doing a lot to soothe her pre-mission nerves.

“I didn’t think a dress could do all that for a person. I should wear it more often.”

Miss Pauling takes a deep breath in through her nose, frustration evident on her face. Out of all the problems she has to deal with on the base, all the bodies she’s had to put in shallow graves, and between the eight other mercenaries she has to keep track of, Scout here has given her the most trouble. And really, it’s sort of impressive, considering he’s not even been with RED that long.

She reaches out to pause the video, and looks at him, annoyed, over the top of her glasses- the full on librarian look, if you will. If the wink does anything to soften her irritation at him, her face doesn’t betray the fact.

“Some of us have work to do that isn’t running around for intel. And while I appreciate that you’re abundantly social, I don’t have time to deal with... this.” As she speaks, Pauling releases her grip on the pen and gestures vaguely at him, as if to indicate that he is the ‘this’ she’s referring to. “And anyway, your file says more about you than you probably care for me to know.”

“ Aw, c’mon. There’s gotta be somethin’ else you can tell me! ”

The scout turns to face her fully, pressing his palms flat down on her desk. He’s giving her a pointed look, waiting for her to make eye contact so he can deliver unto her some intense smoldering gaze- it’s not happening, though. She’s pretty much checked out of this conversation.

Rolling his eyes, he reaches out and presses his finger down on the end of Miss Pauling’s pen, halting her writing mid-sentence.

“ Busy doin’ what, writin’ an essay? When you could be talkin’ t’ a fuckin’ legend? I mean, I dunno what them files of yours say or nothin’, but I’m sure there’s somethin’ in there that caught your eye. I got a lot goin’ for me. I get it, though! Ya don’t wanna come off as, uh, yanno. Overeager. Totally understandable. But I like a little enthusiasm. ” He pauses to wink. “ If ya know what I mean. ”
