been a while since I drew some partial illithd Aldiirn. Need to figure out what his face looks like without those chubby cheeks 😭

act 3 is forever away if i ever get there but the current plan is kinda like... the transformation consumes enough energy to shave off a chunk of weight on the spot, then he gradually gradually keeps losing weight because his half-transformed guts can't feed either part of him well. and tummy hurty.

also toying with the idea of the veins and stuff deepening as act 3 progresses and he leans more illithid-y from using the powers so much. Flying around is really fun okay!!

I think I asked, but what Procreate brushes do you use for sketching and inking? Thanks!

For sketching I use the 6B brush and for inking I use one called Mercury. Both are defaults that come with the program!

Trying to get back into the Aldiirn art groove after a month of cargo addiction by drawing responses to TavQOTDs on bluesky. Of course, I draw him with the cargo addiction haha. "what did your Tav do to to get Karlach to complement him like this" make a premium delivery!

After 124hrs across 3 weeks I finally beat the main story of Death Stranding 2 in one marathon session. it's 7am and I have not slept.

a bunch of theories I had turned out to be correct. a bunch of reveals came completely out of the blue. some correct theories -also- came out of the blue. every scene of the ending was just, what the hell, what the heck is going on, this is so fucking absurd and oh god now I'm crying.

I'll prolly write a review later get more of my thoughts down when I've had sleep. There's still some postgame content I need to do and I want to get the platinum trophy too. but I think I'll take those at an easier pace. I need to get some Aldiirn arts done for a zine and then wrap up the last bits of act 1 comic.

but I can never stay away from cargo for long

Hi there! I really love Aldiirn and his lore and I wanted to put a nod to your work in mine but I want to make sure I’m doing it correctly. Would clan Iaurrhen ever do escort services? As in, escorting folks through the Underdark, not the other kind.

You betcha! Some clansmen will make escorts a main gig, move groups and let clients set the pace; or sometimes you can just tag along on a delivery run but you're expected to keep up with the courier's pace. Aldiirn's little team will sometimes take a tagalong but they have to be able to stay quiet and move stealthily.

When Aldiirn said he job shadowed under Mal it was actually the latter case lol. As an injured teen he could not keep up and got the real Death Stranding body bag experience a few times.

I'd been sitting on the idea and visual for this scene for so long and I think it ended up being one of the most difficult to draw and write but I'm so pleased with it. Huge thanks to @satanicspinosaurus for helping to get Astarion's end rant suitably ranty.

This scene is a callback/progression to the end of Stealing Hearts, Astarion's just not been reacting well to overhearing Aldiirn's nighttime tooting. Maybe we'll find out why. 👀
