Single Pokemon Runs: Azumarill
This is going to be a pretty short post. It wasn’t exactly a hard run. Here’s the star of the show...

Hardest Part: Uh. Hatching the Marill, honestly. I went with Marill and not Azurill because I’m a scrub and honestly all I skipped was running in circles to build happiness... I didn’t want to do this run unless it had Huge Power, and out of the first five eggs I hatched both the Huge Power Marills were Modest. Bleh. I traded 5 more eggs over and used the first not horrible one I got- Quirky! Neutral natures are fine. Notes: This was. Not hard at all. The Marills came hatched with Rollout, which is a pretty broken move to have early on in the game. However, having almost nothing but non-100 accuracy moves was kind of a pain in the ass. Azumarill, thankfully, is extremely bulky, so there were no real close calls or anything. Even Steven, who I was terrified of, wasn’t bad- he even used meteor mash immediately and it did a lot of damage, but I one shotted him. The most annoying part of these runs has basically been resetting on Phoebe to get a not cursed fight. Side note- I totally forgot to ever give my Pokemon an item. Whoops. Completion Time: ~12 hours Future Runs: Tentacool is up next! How will I possible cope without Power-Up Punch? Proof:

Single Pokemon Runs: Furret
So. I decided to come back to these, because they’re fun. ORAS has been out for a while, and it’s only fair that I continue my tradition on the remakes, right? Alpha Sapphire, to be specific. How else am I supposed to farm Rayquazas? Anyways, this time around I’m just randomly asking people what Pokemon to use and going from there, which led to this little cutiepie.
Yes. Furret run.
Pokemon: Sun Quan the Furret♂ (Brave) Ending Level: 72 (this is after playing through the Delta Episode as well because Rayquaza) Trainer: Skuld♀ Moveset: Shadow Claw, Power-Up Punch, Quick Attack, Return Item: Silk Scarf Hardest Part: Roxanne. Damn, fuck Roxanne. I died over an over and over on both her and the geodudes on the route leading to wishmur cave. It was bad. I had to whittle that shit down with FURY SWIPES, FOR GOD’S SAKE. It was flat out impossible as a Sentret as well, I had to grind and evolve before it was possible. Rock types suck. Roxanne sucks. GEODUDE SUCKS. Notes: This was actually a lot of fun! I didn’t really have any close calls once I got Power-Up Punch and Strength. Power-Up Punch is INSANE for a single pokemon run, way better then anything like Brick Break. Return, once again, proves to be massively overpowered, although you don’t get it until the very end of the run which is unfortunate. Phoebe really liked to use curse on her first Dusclops so I had to reset until I got good rng there. I did have to use a X Defense on Steven, although after doing that his poor Metagross just spammed Bullet Punch for some reason and then I just OHKO’d it with Shadow Claw because I had maxed out my attack with Power-Up Punch I’m teaching that to everything I can touch every single run from now on will have the moveset ____, _____, Power-Up Punch, Return I had to catch Kyogre regularly, which was kind of hard. I caught it the second time around because it could 1HKO me the first time. Completion Time: like 17 hours? I forgot and I already reset it haha WHOOPS Future Runs Next up is another cutie, Azumarill! We’ll see if I actually do it this time~ Proof:

Koreanlocke: Part 4
OH SHIT A RALTS GARDEVOIR AND GALLADE ARE BOTH FUCKING AWESOME HOLY SHIT ...oh, it's female. Well, Gardevoir it is! Nature: Adamant ...well. Fuck. It looks like it was a Gallade breeding reject, sent away for obvious reasons. Ability: Dream Crushing Moves: Teleport Away you go. Maybe I'll use you if I get really desperate. Going through Route 14 was a bit scary. Darkbat Dragonbat almost got murdered by one of those hair lions, but scraped by with 4 HP. Got myself a Spell Tag, TM 06 Toxic, an Icy Rock, TM 61 Will-O-Wisp, another, darker spell tag, TM 41 Tormentaunt, and a Gengarite I will never use. Charizard also learned Flamethrower and Fire Fang got kicked to the curb. Before fighting the gym, I decided to train a 5th Pokemon. Half my team would be weak to the Pokemon inside, and it's about time I get a new member anyways. After staring at my box for a while, I finally decided.
Welcome to the team! I was afraid to train on Route 14 because the Haunters might have Destiny Bond, and Route 13 was out because of Arena Trappers. So I gave Mareep the Lucky Egg and made my way back to Route 12. I never fucking should have done that. After killing one or two wild Pokemon, a Tauros appears, and I froze. I know for a fact that Wild Tauros know Pursuit. This is too dangerous. After killing it I would go somewhere else, somewhere safer. I swap out Mareep.
Wild Tauros used Pursuit. Mareep was killed. Furious, I send out Dragonbat to avenge my poor dead sheep. She fires off an attack, but it doesn't kill the Tauros. The Tauros has an ability that jacks up it's attack, and it fires off something insanely strong.
Dragonbat is killed. I murdered that cow with Mienfoo. RIP Sheep and Dragonbat, you will be missed. After collecting myself, I return to the mushroom town to choose a new Pokemon to use. Eventually, I pull out something I never though I would be using.

Let's give this a shot. Side note: while trying to take the lucky egg off of Mareep, I fucking released it by mistake. Luckily I had saved right before everything went to shit, so I just reset my game and tried again. Managed to take the item off correctly this time. After murdering a massive amount of Quagsires and playing with some yarn, I have a strong new Pokemon ready for the gym!
Thank god your attacks are mostly special attacks. I went with a tankish build, and it seems to be working very well! The gym was quite easy, and I got TM99, Dazzling Gleam. Time for Team Flare! Serperior tried to learn this strange normal special move that is based on hp somehow. I could never get it to do consistent damage so I ended up swapping it back out for Toxic. Mienfoo learned Bounce, which replaced Swift, and tried to learn Hi Jump Kick. Most importantly...
YESSSS. MY STARTER EVOLVED. AT LAAAAST Finishing up the factory got me a Metal Coat, a Big Nugget, and a Master Ball which I will be using on the fruit by the foot dragon. I won't use it at all, but I do like to collect legendaries, so that will be put into the off limits box right after catching it. I'm just about done for this update, but I know I can get a fairly large amount of new Pokemon quickly, so I went as far as I could go to try my luck. First up, Route 15. Caught the mushroom, at level 35. Sorry whoever gets this.
...I wasn't thrilled about this at first, but then I took a closer look. It's level 40! Nature: Speed up, Special Defense down Ability: no idea Moves: Growl? Defog? Cotton Guard Dragonbreath This is a pretty solid Swablu, and the nature, while not great, isn't completely useless like the last one. I'll most likely end up using this, but let's see what else I can get. Along the way I got bullied super hard by that snot polar bear, and picked up a macho brace. Castle Basements Ran into an Electrode, level 37. It broke out of three Ultra Balls and then exploded. Fucking brilliant. Route 16 Another mushroom, level 34. Sorry again.
OH BOY, EVERYONE'S FAVORITE POKEMON. Level 10. Nature: Jolly, actually! This might be usable! Ability: Inner Focus or something idk Moves: Leech Life Supersonic Astonish Got a big root, used the move tutor to teach Charizard a special flying attack, finally. Ice Route Fished up a level 20 Poliwag. Enjoy, wonder trade!
Someone's been playing ORAS! Level 4. Nature: Attack up, defense down Ability: Unnerve or Rivalry, I think Moves: Scratch? Growl? Not bad! I do really like Mightyena but I remember it's moveset being just, awful. Maybe. Into the ice cave to get one last Pokemon. Ice Cave Nabbed a level 38 Piloswine. Can I just keep this? Hopefully I'll get something just as useful!
...welcome to the team, Swablu! Casualties: 2 Badges: 6 Living Pokemon: 26 Dead Pokemon: 2 Current Team: Mienshao♀, Level 52, Black Belt U-Turn, Drain Punch, Detect, Bounce Charizard♂, Level 52, Charizardite Y Wind Thing, Dragon Rage, Flame Burst, Flamethrower Ambipom♀, Level 52, Silk Scarf Scratch, Shadow Claw, Double Hit, Thief Serperior♂, Level 52, Leftovers Toxic, Leech Seed, Leaf Tornado, Giga Drain Off to grind up my Swablu!
#nuzlocke#wonderlock#pokemon#pokemon y#challenge runs#ambipom#serperior#mienshao#charizard#I don't think the ice cave was actually a new area but turns out it doesn't matter anyways

Koreanlocke: Part 3
Hmm. Not bad, but not sure I'll use it either. Level 1. Nature: Raises special attack and lowers defense Ability: probably static or something Moves: Tackle+ Growl Cotton Guard? Thunder Wave? Into the box for now. Making my way through the short route taught Ambipom some weird dark move (thief?) and Darkbat something like Tailwind or Defog or who cares fuck that Reflecting Cave Caught a level 21 Roggenrola. Oh boy. I bet I'll get something just a good in return.
...yup. Okay, this is where I ACTUALLY stopped playing. Mainly because I hate that stupid cave and didn't want to go through it. I should have just kept going though, because not too soon into it...
FUCK YEAH CHARIZARD Got plenty of shit in the cave too. Charizard learned Wing Attack (probably), Mienfoo learned what turned out to be Jump Kick and was soon replaced, and I got a mystery TM 70 and TM 74 (gyro ball? metal sound?). Did get a Black Belt though, which was immediately given to Mienfoo. The town past the stupid endless mirror cave got me some stardust, a soothe bell and this weird purple gem I seriously do not know what it does or is Mega Stone Town Fished up yet another Luvdisc, level 15. You're welcome wonder trade!
Aww man, fucking karma. Level 15. Nature: Timid, I believe Ability: Sturdy Moves: Harden? Sand Attack? Slam? Bullet Rock And while I'm at it... Route 12 Caught some eggs, level 24. Enjoy.
Oh shit, what? This could actually be pretty good! And it's level 25! Nature: Special Defense up, Defense down ...well, not with that nature. Ability: With my luck, probably not huge power Moves: Growl Useless Waterfall? Fairy Punch Let's go kick the fuck out of a gym! (Spoilers: I did.) Along the way Ambipom tried to learn taunt or torment but I said no. Darkbat tried to learn something mysterious and equally useless. I finally figured out Mienfoo's stronger fighting attack is Drain Punch though! I did get the free Lucario for the mega stone, but that will just be put right into the dead box and never ever used or taken into consideration. Finishing the town and route got me TM 98 Power Up Punch, TM 47 Brick Break?, SURF YESSS, TM 45 yet another non damaging normal move, leftovers, a whipped dream, and something that might be a shiny stone. Had some seriously close calls too; Mienfoo almost got slaughtered by a Miltank but survived with 5 HP. I nearly shat myself. Darkbat got hit hard with a pursuit when I tried to swap her out, but luckily she survived. Most importantly, though... MOTHER FUCKING
MEGA CHARIZARD Free Lapras Lake Caught a level 25 Tentacool, just what everyone wants!
Uhh. Might use this. It's level 1, though. I'll wait and see if I get something better. Nature: Adamant, great. Ability: no clue Moves: Peck Growlsing Haze? Mist? Is Mist even a real move? Boxed for now. Collected a lot of swag along the way and in the train town. Got a water stone, a sweet silk scarf for Ambipom, a good rod, A LUCKY EGG OH HELL YES, TM 100 ANOTHER FUCKING NON DAMAGING NORMAL MOVE, FLY FINALLY, a metronome, a splash plate? some cat toy and black sludge. Before burning the gym to the ground let's pop into route awful shitty sandstorm and grab one last Pokemon. Route 13 Got a level 26 Trapinch. Almost want to keep it, but nope, can't do that.
Ugh, no, I don't want this. LUCKILY IT'S LEVEL 44 SO I CAN'T KEEP IT HAHAHA Alright, something really weird happened here. I tried to wonder trade this back and the game wouldn't let me! It didn't have any illegal moves or ribbons or anything, but every time I tried I got an error message. One I cannot read due to it being IN KOREAN. No matter what I did I couldn't fucking get it to work. I still have no idea why I couldn't do it. Luckily, I do have that off limits Lucario, who seems to have transformed into an off limits Linoone somehow. Take 2!
...are you fucking serious After boxing that asshole forever, I slaughtered the poor grass gym. Mienfoo swapped Jump Kick for U-Turn, Charizard failed to learn slash, and I got TM 86, Spore! No, I just wish it was spore. Wouldn't that be awesome? Well, that's it for this update. I should really use a fifth Pokemon... but I don't wanna. I am slowly becoming grotesquely overleveled because I only have four Pokemon but WHO CARES FUCK THE POLICE Casualties: 0 Badges: 4 Living Pokemon: 23 Dead Pokemon: 0 Current Team: Mienfoo♀, Level 42, Black Belt U-Turn, Drain Punch, Detect, Swift Charizard♂, Level 42, Charizardite Y Wing Attack, Dragon Rage, Flame Burst, Fire Fang Ambipom♀, Level 41, Silk Scarf Scratch, Shadow Claw, Double Hit, Thief Darkbat♀, Level 42, Sharp Beak Bite, Super Gust, Razor Wind, Roost I'm relatively certain Ambipom's ability is Technician, which is also awesome. Next time, maybe Mienfoo or Darkbat will finally evolve! Or die! Hopefully not the second thing.

Koreanlocke: Part 2
YEAH, AIPOM! Way better than some shitty squirrel! Level 1, so it'll be nice and easy to start using. This is gonna get fun as I get further into the game. Nature: Neutral Ability: Unfortunately, it ended up being Run Away. Moves: Tackle Growl Growl with lower accuracy? I started to notice this on a lot of Pokemon, and I have a sneaking suspicion it may be Supersonic. Agility? Time to go train! I used all the trainers in the grass on either side of the route as EXP fodder, so I grabbed some items along the way. Notable Occurrences: -Aipom learned a boring move at level 16, but I tried to use it to see what it did. It appeared to give the opposing Pokemon a seizure, so I stopped using it. -I found TM 09! I Actually had no idea if this was a poison or ghost type move until I got a ghost-type TM later on. I think this may be Sludge Bomb. -Aipom learned Fury Swipes at level 18 and I find out that it, sadly, does not have Skill Link. -I almost wiped completely on the doubles fight against the fancy Furfrous! -Aipom learned Swift at level 22 Going through the hugeass castle also got me an Amulet Coin (which was given to Aipom), HM 01 - Cut, and TM 17 - Protect (maybe). Route 7 THIS FUCKING SNORLAX WAS A FUCKING BITCH TO CATCH. The fucker took like ten Great Balls! Fucking level 15 dickhead get the fuck outta my sight

Awwww, a level 14 Ducklett! I might have used you if I hadn't already sworn off all water types. Nature: Adamant. Is this even good? What kind of attacks does this learn? Ability: A mystery, as usual. Moves: Water Sport Aqua Ring? probably not Water Punch Water Gun Right in the box. I decided to go back and grab what I could using Cut, and got myself a Sharp Beak and a PPUP for my troubles. Charmeleon learned Fire Fang along the way and Mienfoo fucking FINALLY LEARNED A FIGHTING TYPE MOVE AT LEVEL 29 Zubat House I caught, of course, a Wishmur. Wismur? Baby Loudred. It was level 13 and I hope I made someone super happy with the exceptionally rare gift.

FUCK YES FUCKING FROAKIE BEST STARTER THIS GEN ANY GEN ALL THE GENS BBBbbbbut I won't be using it. Why not? It's level 1! Nature: Defense up, special defense down. Pretty unimportant. Ability: Torrent. Yeah, this right here. The only way this guy would work on a team with Drought is if it had Protean. Plus, I already used it last run because Froakies are everywhere in Wondertrade, likely because it is THE BEST POKEMON EVER CREATED Moves: Pound? I SHOULD KNOW THIS Disappointment Let's just fucking book it to the next route, not like anything important is in this cave anyways. Route 8 Caught a level 14 Drifloon! Yet another Pokemon I wouldn't mind using if I actually got to keep it.
OHHHH BOOOOOOY. LEVEL 15, WHOOPEE. Stats: Who cares it's a fucking Luvdisc That was sure productive. At least I found a leaf stone, TM 94 - Rock Smash, TM 96 - WHO KNOWS (possibly protect? did I make that guess already?) and an Old Rod so I can shit Luvdiscs all over the Wondertrade later. Or now. That Town With The Sick Aquarium In It Level 15 heart, let's chuck it at someone
OH MY GOD I LIED BEFORE THIS IS THE ACTUAL BEST POKEMON EVER MADE PLEASE GOD LET THIS BE A BREEDING REJECT
PLEASE -level 35- ... j-jingle jingle... *sob*
Yeah get the fuck outta here you fucking level 49 goop
Level 1. Nature: Special defense up, attack down. Ability: Rivalry or some shit Moves: Tackle but more damage Growl Hair gel Man get in the box, I'm too distraught over the false Klefki. Maybe this Rocky Helmet will make me feel better! Or I'll just give it to Mienfoo. Route 9 Got a level 16 Sandile. Can I just get this one back?
See how annoying this bitch gets? Level 48, so not this time.
Woah, seriously? Level 1, of course. Nature: Attack up, Defense down. Ability: Steadfast or Steadfaster Moves: I dunno? SWORDS DANCE Tackle It mentions HP in the description. Flail? Rest? Endeavor? Another possible Mega! It's a good thing to keep safe in the box because Charizard will NEVER DIE Launched off the Rhyhorn and straight into a Fire Stone before going to the first fucking cave. Glittering Cave Caught a level 16 Cubone, nice and easy. Just gonna go ahead and start a long chain of people Wondertrading it away
Dude, stop giving me fighting types unless they are also reptiles. This guy is level 8. Nature: Attack down, Defense up Ability: Might be Intimidate, or whatever the other is. Moves: Tackle+ Growl Arm Thrust Nothing super cool happened in the cave, just these fucking ugly guys in red. Found a Hard Stone, TM 65 - Shadow Claw, and the Sail Fossil, which was chosen at random, of course. Booked it to the next town back on the bottom of route 8 and collected a Dowsing Rod, Satchet, and a lovely green Bike. Now that I'm here... I Can Finally Buy Clothes Town Fished up a Luvdisc, level 15. Go spread your love elsewhere.
Awwwww! Hell yes, a level 5 Darkbat! Wait, what? Why is it level 5? Nature: Special defense up, Defense down. Ability: I know one of them is Infiltrator, but not sure what the second is. Moves: Supersonic? MYSTERY Tackle+ Defog? Featherdance? A flying type move that does no damage. Is this game prophetic? I'm definitely using this, even though I have no idea what this stage is called (I accidentally figured it out when googling the image but we'll pretend that didn't happen) or what the real typing is and it probably evolves at level fifty-something. NONE OF THAT SHIT MATTERS MOTHERFUCKING NOIVERN GONNA BE ALL UP IN THIS BITCH Route 10 Nabbed a level 19 Electrike. Starting to open up my options level-wise. GO TO A GOOD HOME SWEETY

A-again? Another level 1 Wooper? Where do these keep coming from? WHO IS BREEDING THEM ALL? Nature: Defense up, Special attack down. Ability: Damp? Moves: Growl HPummmm ??? (literally ??? I think this one is Curse) Mud Sport Well this one at least looks like it has some moves on it that were intentionally placed there. Step it up, other random stranger. This is the last Pokemon I get this update. Now, it's just time for A LONG STRING OF REALLY FUCKING INFURIATING THINGS HAPPENING First of all, I get Darkbat to level 11 and it learns Gust but a special attack. I quickly realize it is taking fucking forever to level this little shit so I head to the gym to level grind it there, which was a brilliant move on my part. At least the guy gave me HM 04 - Strength. So, the first trainer has a fucking Relicanth. I came SO CLOSE to wiping here. This is the first time I've been forced to use a healing item. I didn't ban them for this run, but I am trying really hard to avoid them. So BOO FUCK YOU RELICANTH Pretty much every fight in this gym was horrible and ALL OF IT WAS MIENFOO'S FAULT. SHE NEVER FUCKING ACTUALLY ATTACKED, JUST WENT OFF AND DID WHATEVER THE FUCK SHE WANTED TO IN KOREAN. I HAD TO LEAVE AND HEAL AFTER EVERY FUCKING TRAINER RRRRAAAAAAGH but then AT LEVEL 32 AIPOM LEARNED DOUBLE HIT! AND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS...
FUCK YEAH AMBIPOOOOOM It's so cute when you play with it! IT CLAPS IT'S LITTLE TAIL HANDS TOGETHER WHEN IT'S HAPPY oh and I beat the gym and some shit learned some moves and got tm39smackdown or whatever it is WHO CARES AMBIPOOOOOM Casualties: 0 Badges: 2 Living Pokemon: 17 Dead Pokemon: 0 Current Team: Mienfoo♀, Level 34, Rocky Helmet Stronger Fighting Move, Fighting Move, Detect, Swift Charmeleon♂, Level 33 Tackle, Dragon Rage, Flame Burst, Fire Fang Ambipom♀, Level 33, Amulet Coin Tackle, Shadow Claw, Double Hit, Thief Darkbat♀, Level 30, Sharp Beak Bite, Air Poof, Air POW, Roost Take note of the fact that Darkbat is both incredibly weak offensively and defensively, and gains exp at one of the shitty, lower rates. Ambipom also no longer has Run Away, so I have no clue what its ability is. Oh and I got TM 73 - Thunder Wave but it doesn't matter because I DON'T HAVE MY MOTHERFUCKING KLEFKI
#challenge runs#pokemon y#pokemon#wonderlocke#mienfoo#charmeleon#ambipom#darkbat#KLEFKI PLEASE COME BACK I LOVE YOU

Koreanlocke: Part 1

Perfect start! Level 15 too, so I can use it. Nature: Whatever lowers Special Attack and raises Special Defense. Nice and pointless. Ability: Haha, I have no idea. Moves: Tackle? Something like Tackle. Calm Mind, I think. Detect Tackle with less PP Now, you need 3 Pokemon to use Poke-Amie, so I just went and grabbed the next two before really doing anything. Route 2 I got that forced Pidgey encounter. What level was it? 2 or 3, whatever. Trade away.
HAHAHA! Perfect! Of course I can use this! It's only level 59! This is actually a really cool thing to get through Wonder Trade, so I hope whoever ended up with it likes it. After all, they gave me something kind of cool.

Woohoo! Level 1! Nature: Attack down, special defense up. Ability: I took a look at Fennekin's ability before sending it away, so I could tell if any starters I got had their hidden abilities. This guy is definitely not Contrary. Moves: Scratch? I never used Snivy but that sounds like what it would start with. Yeah, this time isn't gonna be any different. I'm glad I got it for my main game since I don't have very many of the past-gen starters yet, but Snivy just isn't that great. Leaf Blade isn't gonna help much with lowered attack, and I have no idea if Leaf Tornado is Special or Physical. BOXED. Viridian Forest Got a Pansear, level 4. Can I get something good out of it?!
OH HELL YES. I GOT A MEGA. I'M GONNA HAVE A MEGA. I'M GONNA BE ALRIGHT. IT'S PROBABLY LEVEL... ... ...27.
Well, here we are. A level 10 Bunnelby. Nature: Attack up, defense down. Ability: After walking around a bit, I found it actually has Pickup! Perfect, since Bunnelby/Diggersby happen to make fantastic HM bitches. I did have some trouble attempting to actually take the item off the thing, though... Moves: Some psychic status thing Leer Tackle A multi-hit move This guy's gonna be with me almost the whole game, but he'll never see a single battle. Excellent. At this point I stopped to bond forever with my Mienfoo, the only one I'll be using. Then I tore through the forest and popped out the other side. Route 3 I got a Fletchling! That is the first stage, right? The fire bird. Level 5. Time to trade it away.

...really? A level 5 Fletchling for a level 3 Fletchling. Thanks guys. (I actually love this guy to pieces but come the fuck on) Nature: Defense up, Special Defense down. Ability: Well, the trainer history says it was caught at level 3, so it definitely isn't Gale Wings. Moves: Pound? Growl I thought about using this guy, but I decided to wait and see what I got a bit farther into the game first. Onwards to Santalune City! On the way, Mienfoo tried to learn that same multi-hit move Bunnelby had, but I said no. Oh, and I got Rollerblades! Hell yeah! Time to stop by the next route before hitting the gym. Route 22 I got a level 5 Bunnelby. Pretty basic. And what do I get in exchange?

I. Hrrm. Well, it's level 1 at least. Nature: Neutral Ability: Possibly Damp? There aren't a lot of characters in the ability name, but that isn't much to go by. Moves: Water Gun hahahaha man I have no idea Well, should I use this? I'll be going up against the gym with only one Pokemon if I don't. Who the hell breeds Woopers, though? Could this be a breeding reject? It's in an Ultra Ball, so it could have just been bred for Dex info from the parent. Is Quagsire even competitively viable? Eventually I decided to just box it until I need it for Surf, Waterfall, and hopefully Victory Road. So, that means I go through the first gym with only Mienfoo. Luckily, it wasn't much trouble, and I got the Infestation TM for good measure! I also replaced Tackle With Less PP with Swift. Normally I would stop the update here, but since there is such a large gap between the first and second badges, I decided to go a bit farther, and hopefully get a second team member. Route 4 Caught a level 8 Budew. I would totally use it if this was a normal Nuzlocke, but it isn't, so off it goes.
Oh boy! Just what I wanted! I definitely didn't end up with a ton of these in my box last game! Level 1. Nature: Neutral Ability: Levitate? Pretty sure that's what they have. Moves: uh Lick Yeah, not using this. It's nothing but a cruel reminder of how I COULD have had a Mega Gengar if somebody had been nice enough to Wonder Trade a Haunter instead. Off for some plot! After getting a random haircut, I went to see the Professor, and fought him without healing because I fucking forgot he battled you already. Managed not to die. I decided against using gift Pokemon in this run, but I got Charmander so I can get the Y exclusive stone. Hey, maybe I'll get lucky! I did last game, after all. I also got TM 54 (False Swipe) and TM 27 (I ACTUALLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS IS. I think it might be Return?) Let's duck out to route 5 real quick to test my luck one more time before cutting my losses and using one of the Pokemon I already have as partner number 2. Route 5 Nabbed a level 10 Doduo and traded it away.
HOLY SHIT WHAT? I SWEAR TO GOD IS THIS IS LEVEL 27 AGAIN I AM GOING TO FUCKING KILL SOMEBODY It's level 1! Jackpot! Nature: Modest Ability: Looks like Blaze, but it doesn't matter too much as Mega Charizard has it's own ability. Moves: Tackle Something that lowers a stat This guy is crazy! It's clearly a Mega Charizard Y breeding reject, which is phenomenal. If the markings are correct, it has a perfect 31 IVs in both Defense and Special Attack as well! I'm really happy I got this! I did get a Charmander in my previous Wonderlocke as well, but I was almost finished with the game at that point, so I didn't get to actually play through most of the game with a Mega. Hopefully I won't get any really powerful water types later on... Before stopping, I crammed that Charmander full of treats and leveled it up to level 20. In the process, it of course evolved, and got a brand new moveset.
WOOHOO
So, this is what I have at my stopping point. Mienfoo: Level 24 Tackle, Calm Mind?, Detect, Swift Charmeleon: Level 20 Tackle, Dragon Rage, Ember, Smokescreen Casualties: 0 Badges: 1 Living Pokemon: 8 Dead Pokemon: 0 Next time, the part of the game where everything I have outstrips my level cap from my badge and refuses to listen to me!

Stunfisk Run, Part 2
It's been quite a while since I went back to this game! I've been pretty busy with school, but when I transferred all my Pokemon from my old Platinum game so I could restart it, seeing Anastasia again motivated me to continue. Not really, but it reminded me this existed and that I still had more to do. In case you have forgotten what this is about:
Warning: the photos in this post are pretty shitty quality, so I apologize for that. The Post-game areas were not hard. Anastasia hit level 100 while battling inside of Striaton, which is the city that gets swarmed by Stunfisk in the summer. It was all pretty straightforward until the exploration was finished. She fainted once or twice, but only because I just sort of always kept going and never went back to town to heal. Except for the first one - almost immediately after starting, she got KO'd by a Cacnea that had used Destiny Bond. A CACNEA. NOT EVEN A CACTURNE. Anyways, onto the solo trainers you have access to after beating the Elite 4. Colress This asshole was hard! It took me three tries, and I just had to get lucky. Not only did he have Wash Rotom, who only BARELY missed 2HKOing me with Hydro Pump, but his stupid Beheeyem. All it did was spam Calm Mind and Recover, and then murder me with Energy Ball. I only was able to beat it when I got the special defense lowering effect with the very first Earth Power I hit it with, and then it didn't use Calm Mind. The rest of the fight was pretty basic. Alder This was a very easy fight, mainly because I forgot all of his Pokemon were around level 61. Cynthia CYNTHIA. CYNTHIAAAAAA. This was absolutely the hardest fight I had to do. Everything was fine right up until I got to the Garchomp. This was me after taking ONE Earthquake at full health:

As you can see, it easily 2HKO's Anastasia. I tried waiting until it ran out of PP for the move, but it turns out that if something uses a move 10 times in a row, it generally gets a critical hit somewhere along the line. After more failed attempts, I gave up and used an X Defend.

Much better. Oh, Garchomp's HP is lower because I remembered Dragon doesn't resist Ground, and Earth Power did more damage than Surf because of STAB. Glaceon was a bit frightening, bit I think I managed a crit and killed it in one hit. It couldn't 2HKO me anyways, so it really just sped things up. The rest of the fight was pretty typical.

Why are you such an OP Champion?! Rival Battle Nothing too special here. Unfeazant just used U-Turn nonstop, and his Flygon was probably the biggest threat. Didn't make much of a difference, though. Detour While I was in Driftveil I realized I forgot to go through fucking Clay Tunnel, so I had to do that. I got a bit distracted while I was there, though...

Meet Hector...

...Thomas...

...Oswald...

...and Reginauld. He's sassy! By the way, all of this was completely and utterly pointless. Remember when I said I transferred some Pokemon over from Platinum?

Yep. Oh, I fought N at some point too, but that barely counted as a fight. Poor Resharim. Elite 4 Time for the rematches! I chose the order in which I fought them all randomly, like the first time through.

Caitlin was first. Wasn't really hard or easy, just kind of normal.

Shauntaul was up second. A bit easier than Caitlin, because I actually had type advantage sometimes. Not exactly a walk in the park either, though.

Marshal was third. He was probably the hardest, largely due to his No Guard Machamp that kept spamming Dynamicpunch. Anastasia kept hitting herself, but eventually took it down. Oh, I did get to trick Mienshao into using Hi Jump Kick while I was in midair from Bounce. Pretty satisfying.

Grimsley was last... and really easy. I felt a bit bad- I had type advantage over every single one of his Pokemon, although I took out Scrafty with Thunderbolt because it was faster. Scrafty fell for the Hi Jump Kick trick too, though. Now, time for Iris!

Right off the bat she sends out the one Pokemon I was most worried about. To make matters worse, this happened.

Luckily, it turned out to be a critical hit. I slowly killed it with Thunderbolt.

I never remember she has the Lapras! It kept using weird stuff like Sing in between Blizzard and Hydro Pump, and it could never 2HKO me, so it wasn't that big of a problem.

This asshole. Fuck this Salamence. It just BARELY missed out on 2HKOing me with Earthquake, and it had a Life Orb. Then this happened.

It got a goddamn critical hit. When it came up the second time around, I really just used Thunderbolt once and then let it kill itself with the Life Orb.

Earth Power.

Augh! This thing loves using Dragon Dance! I was able to kill it before it beefed itself up to the point where it would just 1HKO me with Earthquake, though.

I always think this has Earthquake, because mine does. Spoilers: it doesn't.

YEAH SUCK IT

AWWWW YEEEEEAH

MOTHERFUCKING STUNFISK

LOOK AT HOW PROUD SHE LOOKS Yeah, that's it for this update. I only have one more thing to do: White Treehollow. I am starting to seriously doubt that even being possible, but fuck if that's gonna stop me from trying.

Fire Red Nuzlocke
Uh, really quick... I actually tried this once and lost almost instantly, at the rival battle on Nugget Bridge. I haven't played FR or LG in a very long time and had no idea how strong his pokemon would be. This is all technically from a second run, since the first one was pretty stupid.
(Starred Pokemon were a part of the final team) Starter: Bulbasaur * Rt 1: Rattata Rt 22: Rattata Rt 2: Pidgey * Viridian Forest: Weedle Rt 3: Nidoran♂ * Mt Moon: Zubat Rt 4: Ekans (Killed by a Machop, critical hit) Rt 24: Oddish Rt 25: Weedle (killed before catching) Rt 5: Meowth (accidentally killed before catching) Rt 6: Oddish Vermillion: Magikarp (killed by diglett because I forgot they can have arena trap fuck you diglett) Diglett's Cave: Diglett (as a Dugtrio: killed by a TR Grunt's exploding Koffing) Rt 11: Ekans (as an Arbok: killed by a wild weezing selfdestructing before Blaine) Rt 10: Spearow Rock Tunnel: Zubat (killed before catching) Rt 8: Pidgey FUCK (also it used whirlwind) Rt 7: GROWLITHE (killed with a MOTHERFUCKING CRITICAL TACKLE AAAAAA I WAS SO MAD ABOUT THIS ONE) Rt 16: Spearow Pokemon Tower: Ghastly (as a Haunter, killed by a Slowbro by a trainer in Sabrina's gym) Rt 12: Gyarados * Rt 13: Venonat Rt 14: Pidgey :/ (used whirlwind before it could be caught, oh darn) Rt 15: Oddish Fuschia City: Goldeen SZ - Center Area: Goldeen SZ - Area 1: Nidoran♀ [fled] SZ - Area 2: Nidoran♂ SZ - Area 3: Seaking (sacrificed to Sabrina's Alakazam) Rt 19: Horsea Rt 18: Spearow Rt 17: Raticate Power Plant: Voltorb Rt 20: Tentacool Seafoam Islands: Zubat Rt 21: Tangela Pokemon Mansion: Raticate (killed accidentally before catching) Cinnabar: Horsea * One Island: Horsea Kindle Road: Rapidash Mt Ember: Fearow Cape Brink: Gyarados ._. Bond Bridge: Oddish (killed before catching oh darn) Berry Forest: Pidgeotto Pallet Town: Horsea Viridian City: POLIWAG * Rt 23: Spearow Victory Road: Geodude (selfdestructed before catching)
That's all pretty much copy and pasted out of the notepad file I was filling up as I went. I'm not including names because, as you'll see on the screenshots, I went with a very... literal naming theme.
This was my team right after getting through Mt Moon. The Ivysaur, Nidorino and Pidgey all stuck with me through the entire run, the Ekans got killed, and the other two got boxed pretty fast.
This is right before going through Rock Tunnel. As you can see, I got a new Ekans. I haven't quite made it to the renamer, but Thumb got changed to Thumbs, and Small Bird got changed to Med. Bird. This is the last time you'll see Thumbs... RIP buddy. You were a beast when it came to Magnitude.
This one is right after I beat Koga. It's much closer to the team I ended with- only two are different. I caught that Ghastly/Haunter especially to tear through Sabrina with, and you know what happens? It gets killed by her first trainer. Ended up going through most of her gym with Gyarados, but the Alakazam fight... that was terrifying. FIRST THING IT DID was use Calm Mind. It nearly 1HKO'd everything with Psychic, starting with Gyarados, then Pidgeot when I tried to switch out. This is where I sacrificed the Seaking. I had no idea what to send in, so I went with my strongest... which is Nidoking. It ended up being faster and I managed to kill Alakazam using Dig. Thank god for a Jolly Nidoking.
This is before fighting Blaine, when I was still training in Pokemon Mansion. The huge difference is that ARBOK FUCKING DIED WHILE I WAS TRAINING. I went through everything up to Victory Road with just 5 Pokemon, hoping to get something good and not more goddamn Oddish or Spearow. Luckily, I fished up a Poliwag at Viridian City, and Poliwrath became the final member of my team.
So this is exactly how I went into the Elite 4. I... I'm really paranoid about Nuzlocke's, so I overleveled a lot. As a result of that... nothing died. I beat all of them pretty quickly and everyone survived. Hooray! It's my first completed Nuzlocke!
Boxed Pokemon alive at the end of the run.
Pokemon that died. Sorry guys. The Lapras isn't actually dead - there was a 'no using gift Pokemon' rule and I picked it up by mistake.
VICTORY! Seadra leveled up to 66, but other than that they're all still level 65.
This is what happens when you play the entire game on turbospeed. I don't know how much time I spent on this but it's not even close to that.
Oh, one other thing...
DO YOU FUCKING SEE THIS BULLSHIT. I NEVER RUN INTO SHINY POKEMON. I FIND THE THIRD ONE I'VE EVER FOUND IN THE ENTIRE TIME I'VE BEEN PLAYING POKEMON AND BAM. IT'S ON AN EMULATOR. WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS CRAP. I HAVE A FAKE. SHINY. RATTATA. AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH

Special Run: Anastasia
So I haven't done any of these runs in a while, and it should be pretty obvious why- Black and White 2 came out. While It definitely doesn't take me 5 months to beat a Pokemon game, I did get a little... distracted. It started as a weird idea, and then I couldn't stop thinking about actually doing it, just to see what it would be like. Luckily I had chosen to use Black 2 for my main game (BECAUSE I BLACK KYUREM IS WAY COOLER), so I unlocked Challenge Mode and was able to transfer it over to White 2 for a single Pokemon run. The Pokemon? Only the most glorious creation since Probopass.
No, wait, wrong image.

SS Nuzlocke Day 2
Finally, my team is all level 12. I haven't played this version in a while so I immediately go to the gym, only to be told I'M NOT READY YET and sent to the tower full of Bellsprout. Time go slice through everything with Agnes, I guess. At this point I realize I horribly over-leveled because I thought Falkner was first, so the majority of the fights are a level 12 Beedrill against level 3 Bellsprouts. Should... should I feel bad? Anyways, I get to the top and the leave to heal before the final fight. Aren't there supposed to be Pokemon here? [note: it's worth mentioning that, in one fight, Fury Attack missed THREE TIMES IN A ROW.]
After re-entering the tower, I finally do run into a Pokemon. Unfortunately, it is also daytime. Sprout Tower
Level 5 Rattata Gender: Female Nickname: Bitch Ability: Run Away Nature: Docile Hey, I needed an HM Bitch anyways. After wading through a sea of Rattata I defeat the elder and get TM 70, Flash. Gee, thanks. Finally, time to challenge the gym! The trainers quickly fall to the mighty Go Nex. Let's get this started!
Violet City Gym
Leader: Falkner The Elegant Master of Flying Pokémon Type: Flying Pokemon: Pidgey, lvl 9 Pidgeotto, lvl 13 [this is underleveled because Falkner is a dirty cheater]
I don't think I have to say this fight didn't last very long. It did make me rage, due to one fucking thing: THE SAME GODDAMN GLITCH I EXPERIENCED IN WHITE VERSION. It's a glitch where, a little more than half of the time, Normal/Flying type Pokemon hit by a Rock type move register the hit as normally effective whereas it should always be super effective. In this case, it was just annoying, but this could be potentially catastrophic in the long run. Anyways, as a reward I get TM 51, Roost.
Right before I can leave, Professor Elm calls me and asks me to take the egg I brought him in the beginning of the game. His assistant brought me the egg, and I'm counting it as my Pokemon for Violet City. I can't come back and catch some Magikarp later, oh no!
Violet City Egg gee I wonder what that's going to turn into
I go up to Route 36 on a whim. It's Thursday, which means Arthur is there, and he gives me a Hard Stone. How surprisingly useful! It's give to Pepsi for now. I also snag HM 06, Rock Smash, and Bitch begins her long career of being a Bitch. That done with, I move on to Route 32 to find a new Pokemon.
Route 32 Lvl 6 Bellsprout Gender: Female Nickname: DeadWaifu Ability: Chlorophyll Nature: Gentle
What a hilarious nature! Anyways, I can use this. Time to stop for now though.
Team: Go Nex, lvl 13 Pepsi, lvl 13 Agnes, lvl 14 Bitch, lvl 5 DeadWaifu, lvl 6 Egg Things I learned: Wade is a nag Agnes is trying to kill me Agnes is blind If I don't start finding male Pokemon I'm going to run out of nicknames This fucking glitch is going to follow me until the day I die

SS Nuzlocke Day 1
So I decided to do a Nuzlocke challenge on my fresh copy of SoulSilver. For those that do not know what that is, here: http://www.nuzlocke.com/?page_id=2
In addition, I'm not going to be using the starter, because starters are for pansies.
Lvl 5 Cyndaquil Gender: Female Nickname: none for you, box fodder Ability: Blaze Nature: Bold
After some plot, I set out on my fantastic journey! Er, errand. Time to encounter some potential team members!
Route 29
O h boy, a Pidgey! Too bad I don't have any Pokeballs yet.
Route 30
STOP TAUNTING ME
Finally got to Mr Pokemon's house, got the egg, when guess who I run into! The game's clever incorporation of naming your rival! I name him Isaac, because that guy was a jerk and didn't even say anything when he bumped into me at the ice rink. Anyways, after being interrogated by the police, Ethan teaches me something I already know and then gives me Pokeballs. Now I can actually start this challenge! TIME TO MEET MY FIRST TEAM MEMBER.
Route 46 Lvl 3 Geodude Gender: Female Nickname: Go Nex Ability: Sturdy Nature: Adamant Oh wow, right off the bat I got something with a good nature! The ability is a bit useless, but eh. Life goes on.
Cyndaquil also gets shoved in a box. I barely remember to buy some antidotes. Then, grinding and a new teammate!
Route 31 Lvl 4 Weedle Gender: Female Nickname: Agnes Ability: Shield Dust Nature: Lonely
Leveling this bitch was HARD, poison sting is a terrible attack. Finally, after one more goddamn wild Kakuna, it turns into one!
yes
still a bitch to level though
Hey, isn't there a cave up here?
Dark Cave
Oh, sweet! Zubats! I could go for a flying type, and Crobat is pretty go- whelp Lvl 2 Geodude Gender: Male Nickname: Pepsi Ability: Rock Head Nature: Impish
Actually, this is an amazing Geodude. No complaints here.
I finally make it to Violet City and decide to call it quits for the day. I really don't feel like grinding the goddamn Kakuna any more.
Things I Learned:
Female Pokemon love me
Geodudes are OP at this level
Poison Sting fucking sucks
Kakuna fucking sucks
This is going to be the longest challenge ever
