My boyfriend’s 30-something crisis
The funny thing about my boyfriend’s 30-something crisis is that it didn't happen to him. It happened to me. Hopefully I’m not getting ahead of my own turning 30’s crisis (for the record, I just turned 28). Anyway, it was not expected and it was triggered by some news that should have made me happy. Let’s just say it’s related with more people (good friends of us) settling down/starting a family/usual stuff of grown-ups.
It’s not that I’m looking for it to happen yet, but isn't it horrible how the pressure grows and grows without you noticing? It sucks. Big time. And I don’t even live in my home country where I can imagine this pressure will be double because of tradition and stuff.
What I want to say is, why is there so much pressure to get your life settled? Why mother nature plays hard with us even if we, I, don’t want to. Why I suddenly feel the need to cry when I see a mom-baby beautiful interaction? Whyyyyyy???
In that sense, hitting your 30’s sucks.

Yesterday and today are days that I will always treasure. These are the days when I can see a great country such as Germany celebrate all the hard work his football national team has done over the past 10 years.
Germany has given me so much over the past 8 years (the best boyfriend in the entire world, a great sister-in-law, my niece, a job, stability, great friends) that I cannot help but feel extremely grateful and cheerful this beautiful place has even more to celebrate.
What makes me more happy about it is to see all these faces, specially the faces of those who mean a lot to me with a big smile in their faces and with an ease of satisfaction. It's always nice to see those who you love the most simply happy.

I so admire Grimes. I’m probably around 20 years older than her, and it’s cool to have someone so much younger than me who, in a way, I look up to. The fact that she produces her own music and is proud of it is really cool. I’m glad she calls herself a feminist. With Le Tigre, we considered ourselves a feminist punk band, and we really wanted one of those dividers at the record store—that said ‘Classic Rock’ or ‘Punk’ or whatever—to say ‘Feminist Electronic Punk.’ It would be like us and Peaches. Now Grimes would be there.
