New Scientific Study Shows Cannabis is Medicine

The National Academy of Sciences recently (12 Jan. 2017) reported that marijuana indeed does have medical benefits. The report came after one of the most comprehensive studies on marijuana to date. The study revolved around health effects as well as therapeutic and recreational usage of marijuana and cannabis-derived products, such as cannabis oils and creams.

One part of the study shows, to quote:

“One of the therapeutic uses of cannabis and cannabinoids is to treat chronic pain in adults. The committee found evidence to support that patients who were treated with cannabis or cannabinoids were more likely to experience a significant reduction in pain symptoms. For adults with multiple sclerosis-related muscle spasms, there was substantial evidence that short-term use of certain “oral cannabinoids” – man-made, cannabinoid-based medications that are orally ingested – improved their reported symptoms. Furthermore, in adults with chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, there was conclusive evidence that certain oral cannabinoids were effective in preventing and treating those ailments.”

Even though the medicinal benefits of marijuana have been seen in thousands of cases over and over again – research is still being halted on a major scale. Marijuana is still considered a class 1 drug in many cases and is considered illegal across many states in the USA and around the world. However, Hemp CBD industrial extracts are not considered as part of this ridiculous un-studied claim.

At the time of writing, 28 states have implemented medicinal marijuana laws, and 16 other states have some forms of CBD-compound laws.

With all said and done, the DEA refused to re-evaluate marijuana as medicine last summer. They have reported that the drug will not be rescheduled, basically saying they see no medicinal value in it, despite the viral qualities of the plant’s benefits.

We now see that even though research on cannabis’ medical benefits is being halted, some still get through and almost every time and deliver evidence-based arguments pro-marijuana use in medicine.

During the last few decades, more than one comprehensive study on marijuana found similar results. The Institute of Medicine did one of these studies back in 1982, and then again in 1999. The 1982 study concluded that, to quote:

Important information and warnings about using medical cannabis

Today, I am here giving you some information regarding the warnings about using the risks regarding the marijuana growth and while you are taking marijuana. The Minnesota department of health gave us very important information and guidelines of safe using of marijuana and we must need to maintain those. Today I am going to tell you the points which will enable us to know the safe using of medical cannabis or marijuana. It is not guaranteed that medical cannabis using will solve your symptoms. Though there is lot of research still need to be done, but existing studies of medical cannabis suggest that symptom relief can vary from patient to patient. Side effects are very common. While a patient is taking marijuana, there are side effects are dizziness, fatigue, dry mouth, light -headedness, drowsiness etc. That is why United States govt. has yet to finalize the use of cannabis for random basis, throughout the country.

The following things need to be checked while you are using the cannabis for your own choice –

1.      Medical cannabis can interfere with other drugs you are taking. Make sure to tell all your health care professionals about the medical cannabis you are taking. Blood levels of other medications might need to be checked and doses of the medications might need to be adjusted.

2.      Children, adolescents, young adults, Woman who are pregnant or breastfeeding woman, persons with a personal or family history of Psychotic disorder such as schizophrenia etc people should also stay away from cannabis accessing. These people are believed to be at increased risk of harm from use of cannabis. Persons in these Groups should generally should not use cannabis.

3.      When the person is a children or adolescents and young adults the use of cannabis is still very risky. Use of medical cannabis in children, adolescents and young adults should be approached with special caution. There are also an association between recreational use of marijuana in this population and onset of psychotic mental illness such as schizophrenia.

Because there is evidence that cannabis use by persons with a diagnosed psychotic disorder results in worse outcomes, medical cannabis – especially products with high levels of THC – should be avoided in persons with psychotic disorders.

6.      If you have serious heart or liver diseases one should not have medical cannabis. There is lots of evidence where regular or termed use of medical cannabis caused the native to have serious heart diseases.

7.      It is also advised not to do any kind of machinery work while you are accessing marijuana. People should not also do car driving while he or she is taking marijuana.
