Character profile
My Characters name is Angela she was 16 years old living in North England. Angela was a happy teenager but turned it to a young girl fighting her illness, leukaemia. The key moment in Angela’s life  was when she finds out she has four weeks to live, she wants everyone to stop making excuses for her, patronising her she just wanted to have a normal life but now she cant.
The key section in the monologue is when she tells Maxine (her best friend) she is dying and she have four weeks to live. This part is at the beginning when I present it I will show that I am really upset and scared, this will allow the audience to gain sympathy for my character. The way I will present it is by  showing that I am upset and scared through my facial expressions also  share I contact with the audience so I could keep them engaged. The moment before I tell Maxine I'm dying I will take a small pause to build some type of tension.
What my performance will look like- I want my performance to look very good my aim is to build a lot of tension and show a lot of emotion such as upset, scared, anger, frustration and guilt.

Evaluation
Like a virgin.
What skills and abilities I have demonstrated whilst performing my monologue?
I believe that I have showed several skills whilst performing, I managed to show an understanding and express how the character was feeling, the reason why I chose this monologue was because the character was a round my age group  so it made it easier to act that age and I could feel how she was feeling whilst I was reading the monologue this made me want to be the scrip alive.
strength /skills
facial expression -  for example at the begging I looked upset but getting closer to the end you could see me face changing and becoming more angry.
Example - At  one  point you could see I was angry especially getting closer to the end of the monologue, you could tell my character was getting really upset with the situation she was in.
Discussion - Facial expression is important because it keeps the audience engaged and allows them to see and understand how your character is feeling.
Volume & Tone -  I managed to express my emotions through my voice, I also managed to be clear and was loud enough for the audience to hear me.
Example -  Near the begging I said " Maxine I'm dying"  the was I said this was by taking a pause and making my voice sound like I wanted to cry and was scared, I sound like I was struggling to say that I'm going to die my aim was to make it sound difficult because my character knew once she says it she actually means she admitting and accepting it herself.
Discussion -  Volume & Tone is important when performance, I say this because the audience need to be able to hear you clearly especially if you want to keep the audiences attention and tone is important because you need to be able to vary and control your voice also it makes the character more realistic.

Rehearsal
My group and I went through the last scene with Neil from when Suhayala  insults Darren about how his dad left him up to when Samuel speaks for the first time and everyone is shocked. we worked on our blockings and changed the way we said some of our lines because our aim was not the sound the same through out the whole performance.
One of the advice Neil gave us was not to have too many people one side of the stage also  not to act like you know what going but to act like you are the actual students in extremism and that this have never happened before it is all a big shock for everyone.
Evaluation: This lesson when well, I rate myself a 4 out of 5 because I managed to get through it and  worked to the best of my ability, although I did make mistakes the lesson gave me the opportunity to correct my mistakes and allowed me to also improve it, I was also focused and co-operated well with my group.

rehearsal
We have do full run through once everyone learn their lines and Neil would  direct us on how we can improve it.
for warm up we done some game that gave us the opportunity to focus, what we had to do was try count to 10 or 20 as a group but more that one person cant say the same number or we would all have to start all over again.
Evaluation: I believe this Lesson I didn't not works to the best of my ability, the reason why I say this is because students wasn't being paying attention witch cause me to get annoyed. What I have learnt is that you need to have a lot patience.
I rate myself a 2 out of 5 because I spent most of my time being annoyed and  try to get people to stop being annoying instead of using my time constructively.

Rehearsal
we  did a  run through with our lines but instead of saying our lines we would say and do a action to represent it, this allowed to experiment  with movement so whilst we perform we can do actions instead of sitting on the chair.
Evaluation: This lesson went well because it gave me the opportunity to think outside the box and experiment with my lines

rehearsal
in  warm up Neil told us to run around follow is instructions to give us more energy so we can rehearse to the best of or ability  also to give the play more energy because before our energy was low.
after we went back into our groups and done a run through of the play extremism .
Evaluation: This lesson I believe I worked well however I did allow myself to get distracted at times  and annoyed because at times people was not paying attention. I believe this lesson has taught me to focus on what I needed to focus on and try to have patience.

why did Syria start.
The Syrian war started in July 2012, the Islamic started stared gaining control in the northern Syria called City of Raqqa in march 2013, the also manage to take over City Mosul on 2014.
by doing my research it states that the catalyst was the jailing on March 6, 2011 and of some children who painted anti-regime graffiti were killed in detention, this is what made the public to protests which to spread around the country. Syrian Army started to fire demonstrators and the protestors, So this became a  armed rebellion.

Evaluation of the Assessment.
Little shop of horrors.
I believe the dance went well  as my group and I managed to get through the whole dance. I managed to go without messing up on the dance moves. I also managed to maintain my concentration and I was really confidant with the movements.
I know I could of improved by showing more facial expression and characterization.
Westside story.
What went well was I  managed to showed a lot of emotion and I tried to show connection towards my partner and even though I got a line mixed up I managed to continue without coming out of my character.
I could of improved by taking my time whilst speaking as well as articulating my words properly so I would be even more clear and not sound like I am rushing my lines.
Rent.
whilst I was singing managed to get all the lyrics correct and done my best to connect with the song and maintained my focus.
I know I could of improved by showing more emotions and characterization.

Timeline of  Maria in Westside story and character monomyth.
January 1st 1950 - was the day when the Puerto Ricans came to America this made the Jets members annoyed. They hated seeing the sharks in the turf, this is one of the main reason why there where conflict between the two race.
January 6th To January 7th 1950 - Maria is getting her dress ready as Anita is stitching the dress for her, but she is not excited to see Chino who she is supposed to marry. However on the day of the Dance Maria meets Tony for the first time it was love at first sight. They  kissed but Bernardo got angry broke it up it up.
Character monomyth
I believe that Maria is feeling like she is forced to be in a relationship  with someone she does not even care about, she does not have much choice. The moment she spent with Tony you can tell she was so happy  but when Bernardo broke it up and with aggression Maria felt embarrassed and upset .
January 8th 1950 - Tony met Maria outside of her apartment and they managed to share the love they had for each other.  Sadly they  find it difficult to love and be together because of their ethnic differences.
Character monomyth
Maria felt happy with Tony's company however the thought of them being caught kept coming across their minds which was up setting because instead of them enjoying each others company they were paranoid.
January 11th 1950 - Tony comes to Maria's work place at closing time and start imagining their wedding. Maria finds out about the fight and tell Tony to stop it, so he does, after she find out that Tony killed Bernardo. Later that night Tony visits his crying partner and lay with her. And plan to run away with each other.
Character monomyth
Maria is hurt  about  her brother's death and Tony killing him but she  cant get over the fact that loves him and what spend the rest of her life with him.
January 12th 1950 -  Police comes questioning Maria so she tells Anita to send a message to Tony about her being a little late, unfortunately Anita decides to tell him Maria is dead out of anger. Tony goes looking for Chico  wanting to die because he feels his love of his life is gone. A while after he finds Maria and was happy, randomly After Chico shoots him and Tony dies in Maria's arm. Maria is now grieving and takes it all  out  on everyone, telling them all the fighting needs to stop.
Character monomyth
She is hurt tired and sick of all the fighting, the fighting that caused her brother and her partner's death, at this point she feels alone and lost.

This picture is very powerful.
This picture tells me that police is surrounding this young girl because of her religion or where she is from, they automatically assume she is a terrorist or a violent extremist. The reason for this is because  the media has corrupted society to believe that they are all the same and the police is being very biased and naïve.  THE GIRL IS INNOCENT!  what people now days need to understand that not everyone is the same so we cant judge them for the way they look or where they are from.

REVIEW: This script is about the police taking Jamal away. Miss Tomlinson called the police because of prevent, she had to. Jamal and the officer as well as miss Tomlinson leaves, leaving the class on their own shocked and confused. This caused the students to start jumping into conclusions making assumptions, Arguments, disagreements and debates during the play.
CHARACTORS:  Kirsty, Melina, Jordan, Darren, Suhayla, Evan, Rachel, Chris, Samuel and Olive.
