Hi, I just have to tip my hat to you, this is the most detailed and organised catalogue of fics I've ever seen, it truly astounds me! It's so cool to have a blog like this! :D

Also are there any fics/authors that are just your all time favourites or that immediately come to mind when you think 'phanfiction'?

Here are some of my all time favorite fics (which most are older, but I haven't read a ton of new fics so don't judge me) and I feel like any fic on the 'popular fics' masterlists are good fics to read!

Charlotte (ao3) - dannigranger

Summary: When Dan’s little sister needs a home, he and Phil offer a place to stay.

Never Told A Lie (wattpad) - interruptedbyfire

Summary: Dan is the popular guy who can have anyone he wants. His friend Chris isn’t so sure about that though and makes a bet with him: By the end of term Dan has to make Phil Lester fall in love with him.

Of Paparazzi and Succulents (ao3) - worriedpeach (skeletonflowers)

Summary: Actor!Dan is running away from a mob of fans when he runs into a flower shop. There, he meets a quirky florist who has an absurd liking towards succulents, seeming to think they have feelings of their own.

Paperboy - amazingdanielhowell

Summary: Dan is an orphan working as a paper boy, selling as many papers as he can on streets while trying to save up for the day he turns 18 and needs to leave the orphanage. Phil is a regular guy working as a salesman and buys a paper from Dan every morning. As they see more of each other, they realize their relationship goes farther than it should.

Summary: Late one night, Dan stumbles across the blog phanfic and is captivated by the reality tag. He wonders, if these writers had access to a few more choice details about his and Phil’s relationship, just how close to reality could they get? He decides to find out.

Summary: Dan was known as a ‘man-eater’ at his school, accepting dates from whoever offered, but he had never stayed with anyone for longer than 7 days. He never expected to change this lifestyle either but then again, he never thought a boy that asked him on a date to see a ‘kids movie’ would change any of that.

i don’t get people who don’t ship hilson because like- what more evidence would you want to convince you that they were in love with each other? Seriously, apart form the kiss and the canonical sex etc etc, what more is there? Love confessions? Done. Over-protectiveness? Done. Self-sacrifice? Done. Longing, loving stares? Done. Everyone else being aware of the tension between them? Done. Taking care of each other during difficult times? Done. Being silly and cute only around each other? Done. Always, even after the worst of scenarios have taken place, coming back together? Done. Literally not being able to function normally if the other is unwell/ there’s a rift in their relationship? Done. Being protective of each other when someone dares insult them? Done. Giving up their EVERYTHING just to be together? Done.
