The Hyper Active Collages of Matthieu Bourel.
Combining hand done collages with modern digital editing artist Matthieu Bourel creates stunning visual treats which he calls “Dataism.” A pun on the avant garde art movement of the early 20th century, Dadaism. The often animated collages are a way for Bourel to deal with the current onslaught of information bombarding our every step. The anxiety and confusion resulting from this is displayed in the distorted, hypnotizing imagery he produces.
You can see much more of Bourel’s work below:

Tatsuya Tanaka (b.1981, Japan) - Miniature Calendar
Since 2011, Japanese artist Tatsuya Tanaka has been engaged in his “Miniature Calendar” — a project which has seen the art director create a pocket-sized scene of everyday life, on a daily basis. What initially started as a means of photographing his collection of diorama dolls amongst familiar settings constructed to scale, has now unfolded into a long-term venture… one that he’s not likely to stop anytime soon. Find more about the artist on the full interview on Designboom.

If you’re looking for some DIY Halloween decoration ideas, look no further. London based illustrator Kerry Hughes’s latest series features intricately hand-tied balloons made into the shapes of human organs. “It’s very inspiring when a person can take an unexpected or everyday material and completely rethink it,” Hughes says. The artist is mostly known for her colorful and playful work using paper and wood, but her series “Pneumatic Anatomy” in collaboration with friend and photographer Aaron Tilley takes it to a conceptual level.

She was ready for anything in pants.
Pulp novel Sandy by John B. Thompson, 1953.
A “Ribald novel of a young Louisiana girl ‘who never knew shame.’ She grew into a creature of matchless beauty and fiery temperament…taking nude sunbaths on an old automobile top (and on the sand). She never could understand the fires she ignited in the men who…directed their boats just near enough to the beach to let them devour, with their eyes, the supine sleeping body…“ (Description from The Old Bookshop of Bordentown, cover art from Found in Mom’s Basement)
