I have been very much involved with the Baptist Campus Ministries in my new college career. I attend Aftermath every Monday night where we worship and listen to David share a message from the word before we play games. These go any where from simple card and board games, to flag football. The girls at the BCM are also always friendly and personable as we organize girls nights to go to conferences, paint pumpkins or even go bowling.
The BCM also offers home cooked meals for two dollars every Wednesday   which they call noonday. This is a great way to meet new people and catch up with your friend’s in the midst of a hectic week. I’ve made several new friends simply by sitting across from them and eating a meal.
The BCM also sponsors mission trips all over the country which I plan to attend in the spring if all possible. This not only pulls you closer to your friend’s but it pulls you closer to God. The way a trip will pull you away from distractions and the kayos of this world so you can hear God’s voice more clearly is awesome. The way you bless others less fortunate you realize how much God has truly blessed you and how you feel more satisfied when your’e committing to God’s will instead of your own comforts, feelings and  desires.
The BCM has been a huge privilege and a blessing in these recent difficult times of transition. I’ve had a place to go, friends to talk to and a place to just even crash and take a nap if need be. The friends you make at the BCM are not fake and aren’t going to require any payment from you. They are family and will be there for you weather you like it or not, and will always love you with an unconditional love that only the Holy Spirit can provide.

The UNA Homecoming week was fantastic despite having to do a lot of homework throughout most the school days leaving me free only on the weekend. I got to go to the parade hang out with friends and even visit with family. I watched our band play in their sharp looking uniforms as the dance-line sparkled while they danced, the majorettes twirled and the color-guard carried their beautiful flags.  I saw the proud Leo stand to meet his fans while Una proudly looked on from where she laid as they took the lions by. The storm even held off long enough so the football team could be free to play their hardest.
I went to Trough-Bridges where they had it painted on their window showing off their lion pride along with the rest of downtown as I walked by. The streets were flooded with people wearing their purple and gold as all the kids seemed to be excited as there was some sort of static in the air. I said goodbye to friends before heading out to the next place after the parade.
I went to the public library where a comforting peace and quiet seemed to be very refreshing after so much loud and exciting noise. I found several music books at the bookstore that although struck my interest wouldn’t do me much good since I don’t play some of those instruments. I also found some unlikely text books that my sister had been looking for and made sure she was aware of them immediately.
I had to go to Walmart after that with my mom since my car is still in the shop, to pick up some stuff for the week. Then heading home to eat lunch and do what else but more homework. Mondays are my long days so I always have to stay on top and be prepared.  Sleep is also really a privilege these days so squeezing in a weekend nap is always a bonus.
I got to church the next day and hung out with some old high-school friends that are going to school out of town. I was going to go to a concert at UNA till I realized I’m short on money for now and will just have to wait for the next one. I can’t wait for fall brake though when I can finally breath for a little.
