Yes, also Thomas astruc is a 40+ year old man. As someone who works with children and teenagers some of the things he says is disgusting, he either has no sense of awareness that he’s talking to kids (which doesn’t excuse his actions) or just doesn’t care, either way he comes off as a bit of a dickhead.
A tweet Chloe started.
There’s something i need to get out of my chest, something that happened this week that made me feel very sad,… sad and also concerned.
Early this week Thomas Astruc posted this tweet:
Thomas may be unknown to a lot of people, but he is a very important person. He is the creator of a fabulous show that is having a very well deserved huge success.
Thomas’ response,…while not openly rude, wasn’t exactly nice either. That “Honestly” he used is the key word. It’s what changes the mood of the tweet entirely.
In the past he has clearly stated how annoyed he sometimes feels about some of the tweets he receives and it’s understandable. But here,… putting a teenager under the spotlight like this,… my first thought was that i would feel very uncomfortable in her shoes. I scrolled down through the comments and found this reply by that same girl Thomas retweeted:
It is clear she felt awful about this situation. Some people may say it is her fault, that by tweeting him she should had been aware this could happen or that if she’s old enough to tweet then she’s old enough to face the consequences. But she was just expressing an opinion and she wasn’t being rude. At the very least Thomas could had replied a simple “It’s okay, don’t worry.”, or given a like but so far he hasn’t. He has focused on other replies.
By the way, if you are wondering how i know this was a teen girl, the answer is easy. I saw her other tweets. Why did i blur her username? I’ve seen people doing that when doing this screenshot things. So i guess it’s how it’s supposed to be done.
Now, there’s a second thing that concerned me about the tweet. In the comments there was people saying how Chloé deserves a second chance, others saying how much they hated her. But few people really noticed what Thomas really wrote. He didn’t write “instead of wasting time on Chloe…”. He wrote “people”, “…instead of wasting time on people who could eventually be nice…”.
Same meaning, other words, he’s saying to give up on people who could eventually be nice and focus on the ones that already are.
That’s such a scary thought. Please people, never give up on someone who can eventually be good.
Ok, now forget about Chloe, i’m not talking about her because Thomas wasn’t referring to her.
We all are born with more or less predisposition to do bad things. It is the experiences we go through our lives which finally pushes us to “go bad”. There’s almost always a reason why someone goes bad. Sometimes the root is neglect, others it’s fear or ignorance, some others it is because no one believed in them or because they were taught that being bad was the right thing. The human mind is way more complex than just good and bad or that it happens just because. I understand the pain that bullies cause in others, i’ve had my own Chloe, several in fact, but we just shouldn’t give up hope like that.
If you find yourself in a position where you can help someone be a better person then go ahead and try it. Why? Because this world needs more good people. Because it’s the right thing to do. And because, if you were in a bad place, wouldn’t you like someone helping you out towards a better one?

Slightly drunk at the mo but yeah I agree, I’d prefer Asian characters with brown/dark eyes.
I dunno whether this chart is mostly Caucasian oriented cause I doubt a kid of a black guy and white girl would have anything other than a brown eyed child. There certainly would have less than 19% chance of a blue eyed child as there isn’t enough ‘white’ genes to over power the dominant ‘black’ genes. Also I can’t imagine the secondary black genes would be anything other than a different dominant shade of brown and so would dominate all dominant and recessive white genes ( disclaimer: I am not a scientist, I have no idea whether this is true!)
Also Asians tend to have darker eyes (dont quote me on this lol) from what I’ve read, green eyes are near enough non-existent let alone blue.
I do wish they’d have gone with the dark hair/ dark eyes combo that they had in the concept art. That or make her eyes the same blue as her hair so it’s incinuated that she has black hair and eyes irl.
Hello blue eyed person here in your ask to share some knowledge. I agree that her eyes are anime blue, but your comment about her parents eyes have little to do with the color blue it would be. Blue eyes Actually have no blue pigment in them, it has to do with how the structures in the iris are formed. People with blue eyes, the structures of their iris refract blue light, making the eyes take on a blue color. It's similar to a blue Jay feather, if you mess up the feather it turns brown.
huh, so the blue result is usually random? i had no idea. well if we’re gonna stick to reality, the chances of brown+green making blue is incredibly unlikely anyway.
i just prefer that when asian characters have non-brown eyes, they be dark at the very least.
