I like the idea of calling someone a jackass to be a pretty rude insult, or at least the same kinda power as calling someone a bitch.
Unless there are donkeys in the show; I can't remember. Then, I imagine, that using that as an insult might be like a slur? Who knows...

S1E2 - The Ticket Master
This one seems fun to do an explanation of who I think deserves to go an why, rank them in a list.
Apple Jack deserves it the most and I haven't even seen the others' reasons yet (besides Rainbow Dash). She wanted to use the gala as an opportunity to improve the lives of her family and fix her home. It kinda baffled me when RD showed up and thought that her cause was more important. Yes, it would be an opportunity to meet her role models, but AJ wanted to use it to pay for hip surgery for her grandmother. They probably should have saved her until last because I can't really see anyone paying for a medical bill.
Rainbow Dash should just not get the ticket, even if no one else wanted one. Ok so as Twilight, yeah give her the ticket, but wow did I listen to her reasoning and just be kind of annoyed. It basically just "if I just had the chance to meet these celebrities they would see how amazing and special and awesome I am and beg me to join. What do you mean that would be disruptive to not only the performers, who are just trying to do their job and probably get this a lot, but also the people ponies who just want to enjoy themselves at this show that is not easy to get access to?" It just comes across as really annoying. On top of that, it coming right after Apple Jack who wanted it for very good reasons... just woof. ("Fixing Granny's hip." vs "Living the dream.") Addon after the end of the episode: RD having to be guilted into doing the right thing at the end after everyone else really makes me dislike her. I hope this is just early kinks in the show that get ironed out later, and she doesn't stay like this. I don't remember her being this insufferable.
Pinky Pie's reasoning is fine. Not really much to say about it. A bit rude to assume the tickets were for her, but I think everyone in this episode get rude about the tickets so its not really stand out.
Rarity's reasoning seems like it would have the same issue as Rainbow Dash's, but not really. She's being presumptive, sure, but she's not taking measures to be disruptive like RD. It comes across more as "hopeless romantic" and "wanting her special moment" than "attention hog" and "disruptive".
Fluttershy's reasoning is fine too, like Pinkie Pie. I'd put her a bit above PP, if only for the reason that the things she wants to do sound like they can only be done at the gala, as opposed to PP's who could just go to any event, but they aren't as strong as some of the other's.
10 minutes in and I already have the order:
Apple Jack (by a mile)
Rarity (big gap between her and AJ but still next)
Fluttershy
Pinkie Pie
Rainbow Dash (not even if she was the only one)
Any change by the end of the episode? Nope.
I was right about everyone being a jackass by the end of it, though.
On a different note, the fact that Twilight can teleport herself and others, I'm so sure that there are going to be so many issues that could be solved by that and the show is going to forget she can do it (✨for the plot✨).
