working on early horses, i wanted to do a quick sketch to show how small Eohippus was compared to an extant horse (this one is about 150cm tall). as you can see, it wasn't big at all. a perfect little lap horse :)

i'm glad there are episodes in the next generation where data gets reprogrammed/possessed/we meet his evil twin/etc, because as much as brent spiner is amazing as data, his real talent is playing weird little freaks

I think that ecologically coyotes have become a real mproblem due to poor population management. We now have populations in city centers post covid and they’ve expanded rapidly across the US. I love coyotes and don’t blame them for being how they are. Short term culling is a good method for farms and farmers with no option.
still fucks me up what a bad rap coyotes get in peoples eyes. like ive talked to people who see em as like. gross pests who should be culled. theyre literally just as cool as wolves just a lil smaller and less confident. i love them with all my heart to balance out all the coyote haters out there, coyotes rule theyre doing great
#there are a lot of coyotes in the hills right near me so i hear em a lot. i love their weird warbly yippy howls#like i know they can be a nuisance to livestock and kill outdoor pets but like#if you blame a species of animal for being a pack predator thats on you for assigning human moral judgement to a wild creature#i get if youre from like a rural/farm area why youd have that opinion of coyotes but like. culling doesnt even work and often makes it worse#(in the case of coyotes and wolves)
