i js saw a tiktok talking about how when percy and luke were fighting (in the show) percy apologized when he accidentally cut luke but luke started attacking even more and how that gutted them.

but the top comment read:

Dark Percy power idea:

Water salination.

Percy's the son of a sea god, right? So it'd make sense for him to be able to make any water he can reach with his powers become salty. But here's the thing: this ability isn't just theoretically powerful, it's downright cruel.

You can't drink saltwater. And if you were to theoretically sprinkle it over the land, that would devastate any natural fertility that land would have, preventing future generations from harvesting food, and wrecking the natural ecosystem, possibly harming nature spirits like dryads and satyrs.

And what if he targeted important water sources directly? New wells would have to be dug, if possible, if the sources he targeted didn't leak over into others (which he could cause with earthquakes). Or what if he just targeted the water in your body? Fuck dying by having all your water being drawn out you, your body is now full of seawater, and you are screwed.

So yeah. Water salination. Combine it with water manipulation and natural disaster related powers, and you get a pretty scary Percy.
