Yeah, I'm not looking forward to what happens next because so many people are getting hurt now. But I am looking forward to poring over the CAS judgement.
Also is nobody gonna talk about how they reviewed the routine for ~45 seconds when they were (allegedly) supposed to watch the whole thing from start to finish and the gogean happens after the 1 minute mark
Honestly I love how we鈥檙e all getting old on here together and still blogging about the Olympics. It was fun when I was 15 too, but I鈥檝e been following the same people on here for years, and now some of y鈥檃ll own houses and have kids, some have moved around the world, changed careers, dropped out of school, entered and ended relationships. We鈥檝e all got so much going on in our lives and yet we鈥檙e all still here watching gymnastics together.
Rebeca Andrade of Brazil wins the Gold Medal in the artistic gymnastics women's floor exercise final during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games at the Bercy Arena in Paris, on August 5, 2024.
Simone鈥檚 calf also seems like it was about to give out on her
First and foremost, I'm glad she's alright and appears to have finished the Games (and her entire career to date) relatively unimpeded by injury.
And now let's be real - even when Simone has had two wholly working legs she's had trouble staying within bounds at times. This time a competitor was close enough behind to take advantage. In my view Rebeca's eventual success has been a long time coming and I'm glad it's happened once during the overlap of their careers.
It finally happened. What a contest. Andrade has been so close behind Biles for so long that I'm glad execution has pipped difficulty at the final post.
