My partner is going to buy this ring for our alchemical handfasting (but in bloodstone). Very similar to the 1st century gnostic engraving of Abraxas— a design that Carl Jung wore on a ring, himself. This particular ring is made by master engraver and ring maker Chavdar Chushev.

Jsyk the othala rune with up-tilted sides ("wings" or "feet") is a Nazi symbol. The original rune has straight sides

I’m aware of that and even mention it in one of the articles on my blog considering how some uneducated people use/propagate Futhark without having proper knowledge of it. Apart from Othala with “feet” being a Nazi symbol, it was also used in family crests etc before the “Nazi era”, jsyk.

Today I’ve been to Jagiellonian Fair in Lublin and had to visit Ukrainian stand -the only one among many that has any knowledge of native faith. The merchant tried to explain all the symbols present on the linen but unfortunately I don’t speak Ukrainian. The linen with Veles shall be hung above my bed. I’m so satisfied with my findings~

It is ridiculous but what do we expect when even Żercy (slavic pagan “priests”) write in their books that any sexual orientation other than hetero is “against the laws of nature” etc? I don’t know what’s it like in other Slavic countries but that’s certainly the case here in Poland. One of the most popular books written by a Żerca (Ziemisław Grzegorzewic) is “Wiara, Ziemia, Rodzina” (”Faith, Land, Family”) and while the main part of the book is really quite good, he also includes his take on all the ethical/moral choices at the end where he straight up says that he has “no idea what would a gay person even look for in rodnovery if they can’t fulfill the family/having children part that’s very important for rodnovers”.  It is not only ridiculous but also embarrassing as fuck. I guess we’ll have to wait for this backward generation to give way to the young blood for things to change.

homophobia among certain neo-pagans of today is so ridiculous and i can’t stop laughing because they have noooo idea how many of their ancestors were gay as heeeeeeell. like, re-construct as you please, but don’t ignore facts as you please as well. just because our ancestors deemed it important that we procreate does not mean they didn’t freely have lovers of the same gender too, or that they weren’t even polygamous. but don’t let me burst your bubble of an indoctrinated mind. go off.
