Ahhh I love all the Volt/Eddie stuff you've been writing it's made me have so much brain rotting with my friends and I wanted to share this idea. So image this after Eddie and Volt get turned into humans and kinda leave the reader to figure out themselves same for the rest of the other objects (their still all dating we love a thouple) they visit the reader and find that they have a human guest over and the guest ask the reader who Eddie and Bolt are and the reader just blurts out "Oh! There's are my- uh friends??" Not wanting to explain how they went from being a total loner to having two boyfriends And Volt raises a brow amused while Eddie is just like "oh is that what we are?" But before he can correct them Volt stops him and starts talking to the guest but every once in awhile places at the reader with a amused look while Eddie sits by reader with his hand on the back of there neck as the guest ask the reader if they have been wanting to get back into dating. Eventually the guest leaves and reader walks them out and as soon as the door shuts there's a awkward silence till Volt is just like "so do must of your friends stick their tongue in you or are we just special?". This idea has been stuck in my HEAD I just image them both having no mercy and just like "we'll I'd slow down for my PARTNER but not some friend" I love these men in such a unhealthy way.

Is it just me or are the breaker switches on Eddie and Volt’s clothes reflecting their state in their story?

Potential spoilers under the cut

On one hand Volt was more recently created from Eddie, and is sort of the ‘face’ of the bar and selling the facade that everything is doing ok despite everything. So all of the switches on his chest are set to ‘on’ and all of the labels for said switches are orderly and paper-white.

On the other hand, Eddie is mainly the one spending himself to maintain Volt, the bar, and the house to the point where some parts start to lag behind. Much like how some of the switches on his chest have been turned off. Cutting off pieces—sacrificing them—just to keep the rest of the system running. The labels for his switches have also yellowed and started to come off.

What I find interesting is that if we combine this with how Volt wants to protect Eddie at all costs, as seen in dialogue and in the bad ending where only Volt survives. It means the way that Volt wants to protect Eddie is to also turn pff pieces of himself to lighten Eddie’s burden. Yet as we can see Eddie is the only one who has done so which reinforces the idea brought up in dialogue that he doesn��t want to burden Volt any more than he thinks he already does. It comes back to another cycle of Eddie burning out because he refuses to ask for help.

(After it can bring about the question of why was he okay with Volt helping at first but not later, when the story starts? Maybe he just saw Volt as a sort of clone, or tool, then as he kept him around he started to see him as a friend, or more if we’re going for the love triangle route?)

Hello! I don’t know if you’ve posted this before, but I found that in chance’s troubadour campaign, if you pick the option to keep going (rather than taking the time to rest) then choose the “confusion spell” option, he giggles right after explaining how to dispel it.

Date Everything Headcanons Galore

[Feat; Chance, Penelope & Connie/Luna]

🎲 Chance 🎲

- Has a collection of mini-figures for G&G that he paints while thinking of new ideas for his campaign or after a stressful one. If you're friends/lovers he will gladly let you paint one of them, he will even explain how to if it's your first time

- He only accept Co-Dungeon Mastering with his partner, nobody else. It's something very important to him and he trusts you enough to nudge your group into the right direction if they trail too far off the road ["Our bard is in jail..." "Don't worry I know one of the guards and he owes me a favor"]

- Wears the Red Glasses not only for aesthetically reasons but also because his eyes are super sensitive to light, you can often see him without his glasses when you visit him at night

- I don't care what anyone says but every person I know [including myself] who plays Dnd is neurodivergent, so I bestow upon him the biggest honor I can; Autism Headcanon Blast!

-Rongomaiwhenua & him have a mutual helpful friendship, she helps him imitate how gods would speak so he can use those in his Campaigns while she gets amusement out of him

- She got really into coloring books, especially those with positive messages ["You don't need to solve all your problems today, it's enough to just make it through" "You're worth of Kindness and Care", ect]

- She's friends with Dolly who helps her build up her confidence and is there on her lowest moments, Penelope in turn helps Dolly keep all her paperwork organized & quizzes her on things she currently studies

-Has an Inanimal buddy which is a Erasle [Eraser Turtle] who hates everyone but her, they even dislike Mateo and will glare at him

🎮 Luna/Connie 🎮

- Get's super competitive in all games, even cozy games where there is no rival farmer ["We will be the best farmers and beat our competition!" "But...We're the only farmers" "For now, who knows who will come to take our title!"]

- She will alert you when there's a sale on games you either wanted but always missed the sale or on games she really wants to try out

- Had a slight crush on Telly when she first arrived here but it has long since faded and they are now work acquaintances, nothing more

- Hates when Updates have to be done since she's basically forced to sleep through them with the energy they consume. She could rant for hours how much a sudden update sucks and she will if you offer to lend an ear

my favorite part about Date Everything is that it becomes a horror game when you actually think about it for even a moment.

everything in your house. is alive.

every appliance, every piece of furniture. the air you breathe, the water you flush down the toilet. the goddamn toilet itself.

they've been alive, the whole time. watching, listening, judging. there is nothing they do not know. they've seen and heard everything you thought was private.

think of all those moments you have when you're alone in your home. the things you would never let anyone else see. every gross, embarrassing, intimate, heartbroken, and painful moment. even your nightmares were laughing at you.

and you were never actually alone. for any of it.

those nights you cried yourself to sleep? your bed could feel your tears soaking into her.

that time you got so sick you spent the whole day on the bathroom floor? the floor could feel herself grow slippery with your sweat.

and it's not their fault, of course it isn't. i'm sure Betty would have held you if she could, stroking your back until you fell asleep. i'm sure florence would have gotten you a cool rag and a glass of water if she'd been able.

it's as much torture for them as it is for you.

maybe when you're mad your slam your doors. or maybe you throw your dirty clothes into a corner and wait too long to wash them again. maybe you once plugged in one too many things and blew a fuse.

and none of them, not dorian or dirk or eddie or volt were able to tell you that you were hurting them. they could only suffer and endure.

and that's not your fault. if you'd known they could feel, you'd have been much more careful. but you still hurt them all the same.

also almost every single one of them has probably seen you naked.

Date Everything Headcanons

So I kinda like the idea that the Date Everything characters all have some kind of power that only awakens after you start using the dateviators, and I guess in a sense it kinda makes sense because when you get Eddie and Volts bad ending, Volt turns into the electricity monster thing, so here's what I was thinking:

Volt and Eddie can secretly control electricity (obvi to what I said previously). They can both produce different levels of electricity, Volts being stronger than Eddie's. I can imagine being with them and them teasing you but lightly touching with a little of electricity, slightly tickling you with it and then pretending nothing ever happened

Chance can secretly control the outcome of rolling a dice. For the most part during campaigns he'll leave it up to fate for whatever it rolls for, but every now and then if things start going bad for you, he'll secretly make the dice land in your favor. He'll never get old of seeing your face light up when the dice rolls a good number, and he'll never tell you it was him. Or I especially like the idea of you both using dice to decide bets and him secretly rolling in his favor for whatever out come he was looking for.

Dorian can secretly lock his door or just not open when he should anyways. Imagine if you decided to or accidentally were about to go outside with the dateviators and Dorian stops you to either remind you that you still had them on or asks to reconsider getting rid of the dateviators.

And then just obvious ones like Dante can control fire, River can control water, Keyes and Tina have perfect pitch and know how to play their instruments really well. Just general things about their objects that make sense for them to have control over. Let me know if you have additional ideas!

silly chance headcannon: chance gives the TIGHTEST hugs. like, he’ll lift you up off of the ground, twirl you around, and squeeze you so hard, you’ll be fully convinced he’s trying to make your eyes pop out of your sockets. he doesn’t mean too, though!! he just gets excited when you let him hug you! (i also headcannon that he just has a chubbier build compared to the other objects)
