I pulled an all nighter and then went to sleep at seven in the morning today. I dreamt that it was ‘Love Live Day’, like as an actual international holiday on the anniversary of the anime. TikTok was an app like Omegle, where you could video chat with strangers, and everyone was cosplaying Love Live characters. I didn’t want to, but I kept getting matched with my friend, who was cosplaying Rin even though I’ve literally never seen him cosplay before, and he kept trying to pressure me into also cosplaying Rin. So it was like three am and I finally caved and started trying to pull together a Rin cosplay, but my orange wig was too long and closer to Chika, and I didn’t own an Otonokizaka uniform. I think that was when I woke up.

How does MFAU Skizz fare in the overworld if Piglins (and Hoglins) turn zombified?

Well, Skizz joined by the suggestion of the rest of ZITS, so Xisuma was prepared for having a Piglin on the server. He’s able to put a block on that sort of thing. It’s the same reason Cleo doesn’t turn into a Drowned if they decide to go for a swim.

There’s a lot of confusion about this particular production of CATS, from myself included, but I can finally explain what’s going on with it. I’ve seen it attributed to both Abbey Musical Theatre and New Plymouth Operatic Society on their own, and I want to correct this.

The costuming and staging of this version of the musical was originally a cooperative production of four different musical theatre groups across New Zealand: Showbiz Christchurch (in Christchurch), New Plymouth Operatic Society (in New Plymouth), Abbey Musical Theatre (in Palmerston North), and Napier Operatic Society (in Napier). This was organised in order to share the costs of the ambitious project. There is a separate cast associated with each group, and the original ensemble characters appear to have different names depending on the production. (Unsure if they are different for all four, as I only have the ensemble cast names from NPOS and NOS.) The costumes and set were used in succession by each group in the back half of 2007.

I believe the set and costumes reside with NPOS, and are or were being rented out by them. They have since been used once more by both Abbey Musical Theatre (now Act Three Productions) in 2016, and Showbiz Christchurch (just the costumes for an ALW in Concert show) in 2019. They’ve also been used by at least four other theatre groups since 2007:

Dunedin Operatic Society in 2008

Nelson Musical Theatre in 2009

National Academy of Singing and Performing Arts in 2011

Theatre Whakatane in 2014

It’s still a bit hard to concretely label all the characters, but if anyone’s interested in what I have managed, maybe I’ll make another post.
